Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Does anyone know where I can get The Crown season 1 & 2 on DVD at a good price?

Thanks

MyNameIsNotSteven · 13/11/2018 15:41

I got the G&B an hour ago but they're £14 now!

Wait4nothing · 13/11/2018 15:45

I got the Christmas Duplo set for £12.50 in Sainsbury’s (with my double up voucher so free - right?)

If anyone is looking for Lego advent calendars IWOOT is doing £15 cashback on them for new Quidco members and a free lego stocking filler. Not sure if anyone has already spotted it but too good not to share!

CelticPromise · 13/11/2018 15:54

Silvergiraffe7 DS has the lego police station,it's got a trapdoor thing in it and a wall that pops off to 'escape'... Dunno if that's the sort of thing?

Mrsmadevans · 13/11/2018 15:55

In Tesco they had 3 for £20 until the 22nd of any mixture of chart cds dvds and books .

excuse me if it has already been mentioned Smile
They usually do this in Asda as well but l can't see it online .

LancashireTea · 13/11/2018 15:59

Aldi has got some orchard games in for 3.99 at the moment and Christmas sticker books in for 79p. I've stocked up on the games for Dd's nursery friends' birthday presents and the sticker books male great stocking fillers.

Elphaba17 · 13/11/2018 16:08

Drspouse what about Mr men/ little miss books? Poundland always have the large format books in and the book people do the smaller ones in a.box set.

That LOL bigger surprise seems to have been confirmed by asda as a misprice according to hukd. Such a shame as £45 is probably still too expensive for what It is.

justmemrsb · 13/11/2018 16:21

@Pebblesandfriends I would love your Boden voucher please if you still have it but I don't know how to pm you through the app! 🙂

drspouse · 13/11/2018 16:21

Elphaba I think those would be perfect; they are short enough and fun enough for the refusers like DS but the independent readers can still get something out of them.

drspouse · 13/11/2018 16:21

(Now all I need is a really good Book People code...)

drspouse · 13/11/2018 16:25

Ooh or I've spotted Elmer books - they are still picture books but they did Elmer as a theme recently so even the ones who are reading well will find them fun if not challenging.
And aha I Spy books which are kind of "sticker books if you're a bit older" and we have always done sticker books before.
Phew!

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 13/11/2018 16:26

G&B showing as £14 something for me Angry

Pebblesandfriends · 13/11/2018 16:45

Sorry @justmemrsb the code has already been claimed!

margaritasbythesea · 13/11/2018 16:47

Does anyone know what wine and beer offers usually come up between now and Christmas? I'm a bit out of the loop atm as have been out of the UK for a couple of years.

justmemrsb · 13/11/2018 16:54

@Pebblesandfriends no worries! Thanks for letting me know. Crossing my fingers I get sent a voucher myself through the post soon!

drspouse · 13/11/2018 16:54

If you want a case of wine, then usually people have introductory offers from Naked Wines?

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 13/11/2018 17:00

I am so behind on this thread. Will have to catch up tonight.

Can anyone help me, I'm looking for a diary for my mum. She saw one she liked the style of it was almost A5 but bigger, more square. Something that will fit in her handbag and has the dates already filled in. With a month to view and a year to view page. A week on 2 pages would be fine.
I would like it to have a pen loop and be small enough to fit in her bag but big enough for her to see the words without her glasses.
I would also be looking for it to have a few blank pages where she can write notes, her memory isn't great and she occasionally put cash aside for an emergency in the house so somewhere she could not down where she put it. She found £££ today in old notes, that she had stashed for an emergency. Any help greatly appreciated.

Wilhelminawonka · 13/11/2018 17:05

I've done some research for you all and can confirm that the M&S chocolate yule log flavour cream is rather tasty. £6 for 70cl.
I'll provide feedback on the mince pie flavour cream later...

Elphaba17 · 13/11/2018 17:08

haha wilhelminawonka that is truly selfless of youHalo

smartiecake · 13/11/2018 17:12

Thanks Wilhelminawonka I have bought a bottle but haven't opened it yet. Maybe next week when I start wrapping presents [santa]

Elphaba17 · 13/11/2018 17:15

Are they still half price at M & S? I quite fancied the chocolate coconut one.

Vicious2018 · 13/11/2018 17:16
