I've had a scroll through for other threads and I can't see any but sorry if I've duplicated!

My DS turns 2 right before Christmas and I'm starting to think of stocking fillers, so far I've got a couple of mini cars and thinking maybe a small book and some chocolate buttons.

What's everyone else got/thinking of getting?

My dd will be 2 but I was thinking malteesers, Freddie frog, bubbles, crayons, Christmas colouring boot, spot the dog Xmas book, socks and vests and a small toy and maybe a DVD.

tangoed2 · 23/10/2018 15:15

Thanks @stridesy, I think you've got me sorted in one post!

I've added bubbles, crayons and a colouring book in which will go down a treat (hopefully he'll use the book rather than my walls!)

New water bottle

You can get something called Soap Foam in Tesco and Boots that I put a can of in stockings. About £2. You spray some in their hands and they can make it into a ball shape etc. Thick consistency so lasts a good few minutes till too much water gets in it and it dissolves in the water.

A bath toy.
Character bubble bath/shampoo. I know Waitrose did Gruffalo ones last year, but I'm sure there will be loads around.
Glittery soap from Lush.
Jack in a box.
Plastic dinosaurs or zoo animals.
Something for his play kitchen if he has one.

DD will be 2.5 at Christmas. I always get her a lush bath bomb for her stocking. I'm also getting a little wooden magnify glass as she loved using one at a butterfly datm we visited last month. Also on the hunt for a small wooden hairdryer so she 'dry' her teddies gal whilst I try hers. Chocolate coins will also feature and a small soft toy. Contemplating a torch too

Fresh01 · 23/10/2018 22:04

@tangoed2 it has been a favourite in this house for all 4 kids from the ages of 2 to between 6-7. Probably because I kept it as something they only ever got in their xmas stocking😊

Ooh following for ideas!

tangoed2 · 24/10/2018 15:49

Love these ideas ♥️ if anyone has found any good main presents or normal wrap up presents that look good for a two year old that would also be appreciated!

Here's a couple of things we've gone with so far:

Duplo counting train
Black & Decker mini tool bench
I've seen a motorised little fire bike in Tesco which is 2 wheels at the back for stability
Cuddly sully from the Disney shop
I'm debating play doh
Big piece jigsaw
Gruffalo teddy with a small version of the book

It's his birthday just before so I've got some more stuff to get yet and will split between the two days.

Some of these ideas have already been mentioned but it might help thetoptoys.blogspot.com/2018/10/stocking-fillers-for-2-year-old-boys.html#more

Fresh01 · 25/10/2018 21:25

What about a box of random Duplo as well as the number train? Rather than the fixed design sets.

New swimming shorts, swimming towel, goggles and swim bag?

Play-doh has always been a big hit here. But only allowed at the kitchen table otherwise it is torture.

A micro scooter for next summer. It is hard when they have winter birthdays near xmas. All of mine we going on a Micro scooter before they were 3.

A pedal tractor and trailer for the garden.

We always put in a few books from The Book People as they start enjoying picking a different book every night.

tangoed2 · 26/10/2018 14:58

Thanks @Fresh01

Micro scooter idea sounds good, we were trying to think of something that would be good for the summer but he's our first so I don't know what would actually be okay for him at that age!

@Fresh01 I've got some play doh in my basket but I'm going to try and hide it from DP because he'll go mad 🙈🙈

There will be lots of books too, he loves them so they'll go down a treat!

I think everything you suggested will go on my list! Sounds like you know my DS better than me 😂

NorthernRunner · 26/10/2018 15:03

Disney shop have got a 20% code going around at the minute... PIXIEDUST20 I saw it on their Instagram page this morning.

I am also buying books from The Works, 10 for £10!!

AJPTaylor · 26/10/2018 15:13

Got to get some jingle bells so the stocking jingles when he gets it down

earlybirdhasanap · 26/10/2018 21:20

In my basket I've got:
Colouring pads
Chalks
Chunky crayons
Socks
Maracas
Pepper pig stickers
A tea set
I'm also going to add chocolate coins, some bubble bath and new hair clips.
No play doh here since dd fed it all to the dog and we had a panic it might finish him off.

MotherDucker115 · 31/10/2018 03:18

@tangoed2 My DS turns 2 the week before Christmas, so watching this thread with interest!

I've got similar stocking filler ideas to the other PP's, but have also picked up a humming top from Amazon (if you remember those!).

Main present we've got is a balance bike as they're for ages 2+. Anticipating that he'll probably still be a little young for it in December but hopefully he'll get into it more throughout the year. Saying that though, when we tried him on one in the bike shop he was loving scooting around on it!

tangoed2 · 31/10/2018 08:53

@MotherDucker115 close birthdays! It's a bit of a nightmare present wise isn't it 🙈

OP posts:
MotherDucker115 · 31/10/2018 09:02

@tangoed2 I know! at least it's before Christmas though as in my head that's slightly better! Not too bad now but I imagine it's going to get trickier in future years.

BooEekCackle · 31/10/2018 09:05

Book e.g. Santa Needs a Wee and/ or a traditional Christmas Nativity book.
Christmas jumper, socks, hat
Go and raid Tiger if you have one near you.
Cuddly toy from The White Company, sooooo soft.

Where are his presents for Santa left? Ours are in a sack under the tree and we make a trail of chocolate coins from the sack to DC's bedrooms.

We are Christmas saddos. Wink

BooEekCackle · 31/10/2018 09:08

Last year I bought soap wands for my DSons from Lush. Although they are pink, my rugby playing boys loved them Wink and they lasted about 7 baths. You swish them around and the bath goes pink and all sparkly.
