margaritas my 8yo likes Jojo Siwa, so I imagine it’s gone past the tweens now to the younger ones.

Any minecraft or Dan TDM fans out there, I found a pack of post it’s in the Works I’m the exact shape of the diamond logo for £1.50. Picture attached.

Matalan had some lovely Xmas and toys bargains out today!

Christmas decorations and party disposables sale here

GruffaloStick · 02/09/2018 20:05

I'm looking for a wooden play kitchen if anyone sees any bargains, preferably not overly pink but I could be swayed if it's a good price Grin

MissRainbowBrite · 02/09/2018 20:06

@Unihorn we were in Costco on Friday and no toys yet, a good few Halloween bits and the beginnings of Christmas chocolate....it won't be long though. I love Costco at Christmas.

Coldilox · 02/09/2018 20:22

Thanks for all the poo ideas! (There's a sentence I never thought I'd say!)

SimplyPut · 02/09/2018 20:27

Dobbies have some great candle bargains in their sale. Got DH a lovely boxed one down to £12 from £24.

BangingOn · 02/09/2018 20:35

Our Costco has the big tins of Panetonne in and some chocolates but everything else is Halloween.

MorbidMuch · 02/09/2018 20:42

Argos has some great Lego bargains. I've just bought the Lego Friends ski lift.

The Ninjago Training Centre is down to £27.99, which is a great price. We have this set (bought at full £40 price!) and it is so much fun to build & play with because of all the moving bits, and especially the spinner.

@gruffalostick the Ikea wooden kitchen is fab ours is now 5yrs old and still looks new well worth the money think it's slightly cheaper now than when we purchased, on pin interest there is many ways to "pimp" your Ikea kitchen I am not creative ours looks like when we brought it - keep an eye on facebok market place and gum tree often on there wish we had thought to.

Stripy29 · 02/09/2018 20:58

@gruffalostick another vote here for the ikea kitchen. We have had ours nearly 4 years and its still in amazing condition. Also doesnt look too out of place in living rooms/kitchens ect

TheOwlandMe · 02/09/2018 21:08

Agree re Ikea kitchen. Ours is two years old and still looks amazing. I added a plain white backboard to stop pans etc falling out back and some clicky lights. Looks good in kitchen and doesn’t scream “toy!” (Eg non garish colours etc).

Sainsbury’s near me had Lego mini figures series18 Party reduced to £1.50 today.

LilMadAgain · 02/09/2018 21:27

woodwaj I'm going to sound like I've lost my plot but my bus obsessed son loved a day out that I organized in my nearest big city (Cardiff), it has open top double decker buses that do tours but it's hop on/hop off as much as you want and the tickets last a full 24 hours. A few cities have similar and it made a nice alternative to yet another toy bus Grin

beadyboo · 02/09/2018 21:40

Totally off the wall present idea, but I want to buy a food dehydrator for FIL. He has a lot of fruit trees, which tend to glut and then he’s left eating crumble and making jam for days. My only search has been amazon but if anyone has a recommended product (preferably a bargain as I’m taking a gamble) I’d love to hear about it.
Other complication is I need it sooner rather than later as he’s away over Christmas.

Pandasarecute · 02/09/2018 22:07

Has anyone seen make up sets suitable for a 12 year old? It will mainly be to put on and wear around the house! I'm sure I have ready something about discounts but can't find them. Thanks

woodwaj · 02/09/2018 22:13

@lilmadagain he would genuinely love that and we live in a city that does bus tours so it's not hard to do. My only problem with that for Xmas is that he has Autism and he wouldn't understand if I told him what it was he would only understand if we were at the bus that we were going on it. Good idea for a birthday day out though!! 🚌

WhirlwindHugs · 02/09/2018 22:18

I have to confess my kids don't seem to like their playmobile fire truck we got last year either. I think it's probably better for the 123 range, despite not being labelled that way.

MrsLem · 02/09/2018 22:20

Thanks for the W H Smith tip, got loads of wrapping paper. I'm planning on getting ikea kitchen for my will be 18 month old. They also have great accessories. I did but a Melissa and Doug tea set on amazon though because it's gorgeous. TK Maxx have had loads of wooden toys for this age range too x

woodwaj · 02/09/2018 22:33

Oh also if any of you haven't heard of it before team Tomm (FB and instagram) are releasing the Christmas guide tomorrow. She says her plan will have Xmas planning done by Dec 1st! I think we'd give her a run for her money though Wink

Alanamackree · 02/09/2018 22:34

Aldi had a wooden kitchen around October last year, and the year before too iirc. It was about £30 and very well reviewed.

GruffaloStick · 02/09/2018 22:46

Thank you for the recommendations re toy kitchen. I suspected IKEA would be the best choice, having furnished half the house with their furniture. I'll definitely not be 'pinteresting' it, unfortunately, my craft skills are terrible

Great idea about gumtree too I always forget to check there. Thanks

Airaforce · 02/09/2018 22:59

@beadyboo check catering equipment suppliers for food dehydrators

Getoffthetableplease · 02/09/2018 23:00

GruffaloStick - we bought this kitchen a few months back: rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F372109420494
It's sold new by the charity shop Sue Ryder, so the money goes to a good cause too! It's less than 40 quid including delivery and is so so lovely. My cave child toddler is so heavy handed but it's very robust. Not too big, and the white doesn't clash with anything either Wink
