Taken the tree down, anyone else?

Have been itching to take it down for a few days so whilst it was all quiet this morning I jumped at the chance.It will take dd half the day to realise and then she will moan for another half day about it going down but I'm expecting it and not bothered. The whole living room feels bigger and fresher now even though it was only a small tree on one of the side tables

Old debate but surely 12th night is the 5th!

1st 25th
2nd 26th
3rd 27th
4th 28th
5th 29th
6th 30th
7th 31st
8th 1st of Jan obvs
9th 2nd
10th 3rd
11th 4th
11th 5th

The it's night of Christmas is obviously the 25th surely!

The 1st night is 25th Dec 😐

and the 12th is the 5th! God damn it! 🤗

Yes 6th January is a bank holiday in a lot of places.

Took ours down today. I like it up for new years day and then I like to have a fresh start. Miss the tree though, I love sitting with just the fairy lights on and all my lovely decorations twinkling....would love to keep fairy lights up all year round I just might

Well, the exact date for twelfth night is a bit of a grey area so it’s solve that by not leaving the tree or decs lit past the 5th and take them down on the 6th.

I have taken the cards and decorations down today. Probably will do the tree tomorrow.

Last day for all my decs today so I shall enjoy them while they last.

All our lights will be lit until 11:59pm tonight, turned off via a mini ceremony and then taken down and packed away tomorrow and ready for December 2018.

Sad times.....
