I have "The Fear"

That nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach that tells you you have forgotten something of extreme importance. Like when you go shopping for the first time with your shiny new baby and realise said baby is still parked outside the shops while you have walked half way home.

I'm sat doing a shopping list and I just know I'll miss something completely obvious. Anyone else? Just me!

Pigs in blankets? As long as you've got those, you'll be fine.

bigchris · 20/12/2017 17:42

Ibuprofen

Paracetamol

Calpol

Christmas radio times

Bleach

Washing up liquid

Batteries

Foil

dontquotemeondailymail · 20/12/2017 17:47

Cranberry sauce

(And wine, but of course this essential could never be forgotten!)

SunshineTheMonkey · 20/12/2017 17:48

Chestnut stuffing

dontquotemeondailymail · 20/12/2017 17:49

And I tend to forget the normal things - toilet paper, kitchen roll, milk, bread, something for breakfasts etc on the days around Christmas

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 20/12/2017 17:49

Bread sauce
Crackers
Christmas napkins

AllMyBestFriendsAreMetalheads · 20/12/2017 17:49

Pigs in blankets

Gravy granules

Most other stuff you can do without.

Monr0e · 20/12/2017 17:51

Thank you

Just added paracetamol, toilet roll, bin bags (and wine Confused) to my list.

I'll probably get to Christmas morning and realise I've completely forgot to buy someone a gift but as long as I've got the pigs it'll be ok Grin

Just remembered I have to do my special orange cranberry cookies.

Other than that just 100's of pressies left to wrap....

gingergenius · 20/12/2017 17:54

Satsumas

Butterymuffin · 20/12/2017 18:17

Buy an extra box of chocolates and wrap it so that when the unexpected person comes calling with a present for you, you can quickly write a label and hand it over.

WisestIsShe · 20/12/2017 19:07

Double cream

LyannaStarktheWolfMaid · 20/12/2017 19:09

God, this thread is useful. I forgot butter one year - that was pretty catastrophic.

LyannaStarktheWolfMaid · 20/12/2017 19:11

Crackers! Wow thanks.

Gazelda · 20/12/2017 19:14

Bloody hell, I've just realised I've forgotten about pigs in blankets! That would have ruined Christmas.

foxessocks · 20/12/2017 19:15

Tea bags and coffee for all the visitors
Bucks fizz
selotape
Batteries if any small kids around who might need them for new toys!

Littlelambpeep · 20/12/2017 19:15

I haven't some very much

But batteries and nappies

Moonflower12 · 20/12/2017 19:23

Zig Lora

Moonflower12 · 20/12/2017 19:23

Bloody autocorrect! Zoflora

DozyDoates · 20/12/2017 19:28

I nearly forgot frozen Yorkshire's this week; though to be fair I also usually forget to cook them.

Monr0e · 20/12/2017 19:29

Adding zig lora to the list 😁

noblegiraffe · 20/12/2017 19:30

Carrot for Rudolf.

73kittycat73 · 20/12/2017 20:11

Eggs for the Yorkshire pudding mix and lard or oil to cook your dinner in.

LyannaStarktheWolfMaid · 20/12/2017 21:25

Yorkshire puddings. I was not as prepared as I thought! Keep it coming!

LyannaStarktheWolfMaid · 20/12/2017 21:29

I’ve just ordered some of those foil tray things. Fairy. Dishwasher tabs. Sponges.
