Bloody hell pavlovaplease... you have already had major changes since mid december when you posted The dc are getting a tablet (Amazon deal) as their main present. Then a box of Lego (£15-£20), a selection box and a stocking.

And now!!!

I randomly remembered you from that thread because you planted the seed of me getting a tablet for my eldest

Wishingandwaiting · 20/12/2017 19:33

“Major changes” should read major twitches*

Isadora2007 · 20/12/2017 19:38

😂 wishingandwaiting well observed!

Dd8 is getting a Cozmo which she has begged for and says she wants nothing else and understands it is a big present. She is such a wee hard working and lovely girl we wanted to surprise her- so she is getting Cozmo but also her big sisters old iphone6 as a complete surprise as she has been told she must be 10 to get a mobile! It will only have a pay as you go and I doubt it will even really be used much, but I know it will have the wow factor for her on Christmas Day.

My dcs (7 & 5) are both getting new bikes and a football goal for the garden as their main presents.

Dd2 is getting a toy stable and some horses to go with it. She's been adamant that's what she wants for months, but then this week she's suddenly decided she wants a big hatchimal (she's already got a few of the tiny ones). She's getting the stable, not the hatchimal.

Glad my 7 year old ds is easy he's asked for cars and chocolate. I have got him an amazon Alexa tablet though.

TheHuffAndPuffALot · 20/12/2017 19:55

My dd is getting an Amazon fire kids tablet. She's been using my old kindle for a couple of years, and I think she's ready for a device of her own now.
Other than that she is getting a bit of chocolate, pjs, a board game, and some stocking fillers.

Needmorehands · 20/12/2017 20:01

7yr old DS is getting a new (to us) bike, and a scooter with bigger wheels as his old one has pretty much died - it was ok as a toy but didn't like being transport for daily school runs.
He is also getting assorted small books, craft set, chocolate type bits

DD 8 is getting a laptop. She asked for a Nintendo switch or a laptop. Laptop was cheaper option and will be more useful in the long run.

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 20/12/2017 22:15

Thank you everyone for your replies. Really helpful as I have struggled to decide what to get her.

We have bought her playmobil from us and I think we will go with the hot wheels from Santa xxx

My seven year old is having a Kidizoom Flix. He has autism and global developmental delay though so that might be a bit young for the average seven year old.

He has recently developed a fixation for watching people drop small toys in slime on You Tube so I thought he would enjoy dropping some of his own small toys in slime and making a video (not for You Tube!).

DD 7 is getting a wooden dressing table with accessories and a big box full of Jojo stuff.

FoxInABox · 21/12/2017 08:01

7yo DD hasn’t got a main present this year, just lots of little things- the most expensive items being around £25. The thing she wanted most was fabric pens and plain t shirts.
10yo DD is getting a laptop as her main present and 5yo DS is getting a go cart as his.

shoofly · 21/12/2017 08:06

DS2 who'll be 7 in April is getting a 2DS XL, nerf and lego

shebagthehag · 21/12/2017 08:48

Lego ... lots of Lego! Keeps him quiet

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 21/12/2017 08:49

Several large Lego sets (£50-£100 each but brought in sales)

RueDeWakening · 21/12/2017 09:08

7 year old DS is getting art supplies from us, and the Pokemon Ultra Sun game for his DS, and a share in a Nintendo Switch that DH was desperate to buy.

He's getting a drawing tablet off grandparents, too - it attaches to a computer and apparently works like a mouse but with a stylus to control movement. Can you tell I have no real clue what it does yet?! The MN hive mind came up with the idea when I posted about it last week.

glitterlips1 · 21/12/2017 13:30

My 8 year desperately wants a phone. My 10 year is getting his first phone for christmas and since I have made him wait until year 6 I don't feel I can justify getting the phone for my 8 year old. Therefore, I am now toying with getting her a laptop.
