Presents for the most ungrateful people ever....help?

Lollipop30 · 16/12/2017 13:17

I’ve got to get my brothers Christmas presents. And I’m stuck.
They are the most ungrateful, entitled people I’ve ever met. They only buy themselves top designer stuff and would turn their nose up at anything high street.
I actually really don’t particularly want to get them anything, knowing they’ll just toss it aside whatever it may be, however I do have to.

Please could I have any ideas of gifts that don’t cost the earth but could be suitable for utter brand snobs?

A packet of Haribos.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 16/12/2017 13:20

Posh chocs?
Magazine subscription?

Temporaryanonymity · 16/12/2017 13:21

You really don't have to buy them anything.

sleepingdogslying · 16/12/2017 13:24

I have relatives like this - I buy them an expensive (well to me anyway) bottle of wine for about £20. It requires no thought or effort on my part and will get drunk.

Oxfam unwrapped have a half price sale at the moment. You can buy a pig for £11.50 . I think I'll do that myself !

Charity gift? Loo twinning? These types of people are the reason giving goats has become so popular, I believe Grin

quackquackfuckoff · 16/12/2017 13:25

I wouldn't bother buying them anything!!

CJCreggsGoldfish · 16/12/2017 13:26

Charity gift, or a bottle of alcohol.

Pile of poo?

Jack Daniels

Annwithnoe · 16/12/2017 14:01

What's your budget OP?
Buy something over priced expensive but within your budget. So, for instance, spend £20 on 4 very posh chocolates even though you'd get a huge box of Thornton for the same price. You might feel mean giving them 4 chocs but if they are brand snobs they'll appreciate them more than a big box of cheaper ones. It's a fictional example obviously Grin

frenchfancy · 16/12/2017 14:03

Retro sweets. The sort of thing they would have eaten when they were younger.

Casablanca78 · 16/12/2017 14:05

If they like brands then maybe TK Max for a pair of branded socks or boxers? They do Calvin Klein, Versace, Ralph Lauren etc.

GoldenHoops · 16/12/2017 14:08

A beautifully gift wrapped bottle of V.I.POO.

RunRabbitRunRabbit · 16/12/2017 14:29

Anything you like. They won't like what you buy. You can't change that part. You can change how much of your time and effort is wasted though.

Set a budget, wander into any old shop and buy the first thing on budget that's not totally shit.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/12/2017 15:19

Don't overthink it. Set a budget, and then buy a bottle of booze and something edible to go with it. End of.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/12/2017 15:19

Or if they are not quite as unintelligent as they sound, a book each.

Goshthatwentwell · 16/12/2017 15:48

I'd go to the charity shop and buy them something quirky. They get something unusual and if they hate it your money has gone to a goid cause.

Tinselistacky · 16/12/2017 15:54

Christmas tie and a bottle.

OldJoseph · 16/12/2017 16:01

Assuming they are adults then a bottle of wine.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 16/12/2017 16:03

Something by George Orwell and a chocolate orange.

Taffeta · 16/12/2017 16:10

A Grid It

Or one of these

burntoutmum · 16/12/2017 16:22

Placemarking as I need a small gift for a very fussy, abit snobby, friend!!

VoldemortsNipple · 16/12/2017 16:55

Buy a nice mason jar from a homewear shop then fill it with a few bags Aldi or Lidl salted caramel fudge. Dress it up with a bit of ribbon and tie a luggage tag with Handmade (posh description) fudge written on it and tell them you got it delivered from a boutique confectioners. Tell them how you had to order it in August because their order books get filled up by September and the Kardashian's only buy their fudge from them. 😉😂

expatinscotland · 16/12/2017 17:02

Why do you have to buy them anything?
