Looking for a 'wow' craft present for 7yr old

I'm struggling for a main present for my daughter. She loves crafts, but I can't find anything with enough of a wow factor (as a comparison her brother is getting Lego boost robot). She always seems to get more small things, but I'd really like to have a main present for her like her siblings have.
Any suggestions?

What is she into? Hobbies etc or do you definitely want a craft type present? Possibly a sewing machine and some fabrics, threads etc

She enjoys playing piano, but she is really a craft girl, loves drawing and painting (or being on technology, but none of them are having screens for presents!)

Can you get her a storage box of some sort and stuff it full of craft stuff? I got my niece an A4 plastic drawer set last year and bought loads of bits and pieces to go in it, and apparently it went down quite well!

If you look on pinterest, there are some quite nice craft box ideas. Those little mini suitcases, filled with lots of bits but when they are all together they look much more impressive. Or what about an easel?

A box with a HUGE amount of stuff in so she can start scrapbooking? You could have a handful of pre-printed photos of her and friends/family to get her started off.

They'd be lovely keepsakes when she is older, too.

Oh, that easel set is interesting, that is the kind of thing she would like. She would love the wallpaper, but it's not happening!!!! (Putting house on the market in Feb)

Can you make up a basket with a large Hama bead set, Aqua beads, one of mine got a large handled tub of felt tips from Paperchase last year that was a huge hit, A3 size sketch pad (TKMaxx always has these), a simple sewing set, threading bead set to make bracelets, gel pens etc. So lots of sets to make it look like a big gift. Can add paints and glitter depending how brave you are : )

My dd1 is nearly 7 and likes crafts. I know what you mean about lacking a 'wow' present.

I'm getting her a blo pens set and a light up tracing pad . I did consider a box of ceramic pens, paint and ceramic items to decorate (can get these from Baker Ross) which she would have liked too.

Thank, some great ideas. Her big sister already has a 3D pen she can use, but it was that type of thing we are thinking of. Unfortunately we have no room for a desk, and somehow the hamper doesn't give the sand wow as both her siblings presents.

I'm off to investigate the potters wheel as she did a pottery class in the summer and loved it

My dd loves a Djeco kit.

Popping back to say that my arty youngest LOVED her mini-movie camera at that age. A small adult one, not a kids one: really simple to use, not too expensive, and so many little movies made, messages to friends etc. I think it was a Vivitar, and we bought a little kit with it which included a table top tripod and a few other bits. very creative and tied in with love of technology...

What about a camera? My DD10 also loves all things crafty and also loves taking photos. We've got her the Instax Mini 9 (they come in gorgeous pastel colours) and print as you take the pic. Super fun gift!

Djeco craft kits, some are more involved than others...stunning and great quality.

There's a paper making kit you can get. Got one from Amazon for my ds.

For a potter's wheel, wouldn't you also need a kiln, though?

I wouldn't recommend rock tumblers. They sit there grinding away grumpily for aeons before offering you a handful of smoothish gravel.

I'm trying to think which kits and crafts did get heavy use -- mostly the massive paint or felt pen sets, but candle making went down well, and chocolate-making, and those plaster of Paris moulds for figurines.

What about a tie-dye set and some plain white t-shirts, bags, socks etc or some classes/workshops at a local art studio/pottery painting place.
