Looking for a 'wow' craft present for 7yr old

I'm struggling for a main present for my daughter. She loves crafts, but I can't find anything with enough of a wow factor (as a comparison her brother is getting Lego boost robot). She always seems to get more small things, but I'd really like to have a main present for her like her siblings have.
Any suggestions?

Watching with interest. My 6 year old is exactly the same!

My Dad is buying her a little sewing machine so I can't use that idea!

When I was seven my parents got me a toy pottery making set with clay, slip, clay tools and a pottery wheel. It was big.

Olives's Garden by Portabello Games. Can't link at the moment.

I'd buy a portable storage unit with wow like this one from Hobbycraft (there's a smaller/cheaper) version at Ryman) and really stock it up:

Loads of bright paper and card
Pencils and pens
Poster paints
Glues (PVA and Pritt-stick type)
Huge assortment of paint brushes
Pom poms
Lolly sticks
Stickers (Baker Ross fab for these)
Blank greeting card cards
Sequins
Paper mache shapes/letters

80% of this stuff can be bought from your local pound shop. Try Tiger and Baker Ross for a few more distinctive things to include too. It's the bringing it all together, opening up all the packs and organising it into a craft station for her that'll give the impact.

Where we live many of the children of your DD's age are enjoying the Love on the Rocks rock painting craze. It could be fun to include a bunch of rocks, acrylics and varnish in there too so she can take part.

Melissa and Doug make a fantastic picture frame pad that I found for a bargain price when I was shopping around for spares online this week. It would be exactly the sort of thing I'd include.

I agree with lots of different open-ended craft materials. I would add washi tape and duck/duct tape in lots of different patterns and colours - very versatile and inspiring for any type of creations or decorations! (There are lots of duct tape craft ideas on the internet.)

Also blu tack of course.

Perhaps also a roll of self-adhesive chalkboard paper - we have this and it gets lots of use. Easy to put up and take down.

Oh yes! A glue gun! My dd had this at the top of her wish list when she turned 9 recently, but would be great for a 7yo too. Perfect for open-ended crafts, along with some scrap fabric perhaps.
