just shown it to my husband and he said no cos he will throw his twin at it! if only that was a joke

gingerbreadmam · 02/12/2017 19:40

AHH that's a shame.

Description says comes with a length of string (can't remember how long) so you would be able to choose the length from ceiling.

A quick Google image showed it against a black wall with the glow in the dark stars on the wall looked cool.

That sounds really tough. Hope things can get better for you all.

Not cheap but another idea www.argos.co.uk/product/7099117

@gingerbreadman what will be will be. at least I'm prepared for xmas thanks to u lot (well I was til they asked me to have surgery on 22nd dec but that's not for a Christmas bargain thread). super ideas and will think if we can mange them somehow. he almost seems to take things hanging as a challenge!

yumyumpoppycat · 02/12/2017 20:02

I remember some people were looking for these a couple of months ago but they were OOS on book people - 13 storey tree house collection £10.99 but extra books included suitable for children over 7, my kids quite liked them.

Mrsmomo · 02/12/2017 20:12

Gingerbreadman,
Amazon does an inflatable
set, around £40 I think, needs a bit of ceiling space but you can adjust length. Amazon also do a small set of all the planets with string to hang, again you can adjust. £5. I'll post links in a min.

I need to find some earphones for DD, budget around £20-30

Are there any places with some good offers on or current discount codes?

Completely forgot she wanted some last weekend when I probably would have found a good deal.

ecofreckle · 02/12/2017 21:15

Anyone know please whether Halfords have a reliable post Christmas sale please? We want this bike but don't have this money Smile We're okay with dd getting this after Christmas. Thanks for any wisdom

gingerbreadmam · 02/12/2017 21:17

@specialagentdalecooper if I remember rightly TJ Hughes often have skull candy earphones in.

@fatarse1 it really sounds like you have a lot going on. Really feel for you.

RJnomore1 · 02/12/2017 21:23

I've been driving myself mad all day about the my little pony plushes. I saw them somewhere recently in two sizes for good prices -say £6 and £9 roughly.

It can only have been Tesco, b and m, Sainsbury's or m and s I've been in. The m and s is a good hall so it's ruled out. Sainsbos has rearranged to fit in an Argos and I'm pretty sure it's not there.

I THINK it's b and m and I think I remember showing dd2 them which would rule Tesco out.

So basically, try b and m but they aren't on the website.

Sorry.

Need a gift for my aunt and uncle- one of the last thing in my list. Budget £15, but would like it to seem like more. We don't know them well, but they buy us all gifts. They are in their 50s- not aware of hobbies though think they like to cook and garden. Definitely not sporty/ outdoorsy people.

I am so stuck and you are all giving such good ideas.

Thanks

Ilikesweetpeas · 02/12/2017 21:50

Cookiefiend- look on the separate referrals thread to get a code for "buy a gift". They do things like a meal out, or afternoon tea which with a code you would get for around that price. I though that was a good gift for a couple. Hope that helps.

Anyone seen a good price for the new David Walliams book, "Bad Dad?"

Cataline · 02/12/2017 21:53

@gingerbreadmam @loveliesbleeding1 Thanks for the suggestions for pink crocs- I was hoping to find a pair for around £10-£15 so I'll check out Aldi but also keep Sports Direct in mind if I get stuck!

Dolceandgabbana14 · 02/12/2017 21:59

I got Bad Dad in Sainsburys with free CD book for £5 (i think). The CD was the book about the grant by the same author but I can't remember the exact title, sorry.

gingerbreadmam · 02/12/2017 22:10

@cookiefiend for my aunty and uncle I got some Costa latte glasses from debenhams and am going to get some Costa lattes / coffee to go with if they sell such a thing, I don't drink hot drinks

imsorryiasked · 02/12/2017 22:15

I really need help please - posted a couple of days ago - I have to get a decent hamper for max £35. But all the ones I can find seem to have hardly anything in them. I could make one up, but worry it would look less than a "ready made" one.
Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can get a bargain please?

gingerbreadmam · 02/12/2017 22:21

@imsorryiasked I would definitely make one then you can Taylor it to the recipients.

In previous years we have bought the 'christmas range' food in m&s and made hampers with them. They really look the part and I'm sure you would get a fair amount.

They do fancy flavoured bucks fizz, great cheese boards and lots of snacky foods and treats like cinder toffee. Nuts. That kind of thing.

PlaymobilPirate · 02/12/2017 23:03

Just about to check out with the pyramid set on the playmobil website - anyone know if there's such a thing as a code for playmobil online??

WhyamIBoredathome · 02/12/2017 23:32

Pretty sure I've seen one posted previously but didn't look that closely, hopefully someone else knows it.

woodwaj · 02/12/2017 23:50

Imsorryiasked BHS have a few £35 hampers online! I know there's few on Matalan website too and Morrison's had some in my local store

Goshthatwentwell · 03/12/2017 00:12

Do you own hamper if you are delivering. Otherwise it's about giving stuff that's a bit different to try rather than value for money I think.

Carluccios let you put a nice box together. It's £10 for the box and postage. Lots of items at the £4 mark. You'd be able to get a bottle of Limoncello, a few unusual pasta sauces and a pack of fancy pasta for your budget.
