John Lewis don't do discount codes just price-matching

Llamacorn · 28/11/2017 20:57

I've got £5 off £40 at Argos too for tonight, single use, hopefully benefit someone:
A45PFW8K

They sent me a £5 code no minimum yesterday but I used that on a new Xmas tree, baubles and lights and got them for £29 as 3for2 also (only for my hallway so a skinny tree)

£450 has gone missing from our bank, we paid for dds laptop a couple of weeks ago from very, had it delivered no issues. Except very don't have the payment they say the bank is holding it, so dh checked online banking and there's nothing showing pending or anything so I'm rather worried Confused he'll have to call tomorrow and see what's going on.

I've only 1 thing each so far for dds 1 & 2, nothing for dh for his birthday or Xmas and only have a couple things for the rest of the family. It's taking an effort for me just to post here - would anyone like to do my shopping for me?? I'll make virtual hot choc and love you forever 🙏🏼😭

Prizepudding · 28/11/2017 21:09

I think the Argos £5 off voucher code must be generic as the code above is the same as mine, not as exclusive and personal as Argos are trying to make out I think. They do have some good prices on toys though and the code is certainly handy.

Hope you get to the bottom of the missing money Llamacorn, how worrying.

Sarahclacko · 28/11/2017 21:12

Would love advice on a box or wrapping advice for the Emma Bridgewater mugs too Smile

blurredlines · 28/11/2017 21:15

Ok reastie. Thanks anyway . I've always enjoyed your thread.

cheerylilthing · 28/11/2017 21:16

@Sarahclacko Do you have a TK Maxx or Homesense near you? The ones near me have some lovely boxes that are the perfect size for a mug (I got one for DP’s Le Creuset mug I bought & padded it out with tissue paper).

Prizepudding · 28/11/2017 21:16

b and m have some nice boxes that would fit the mugs

MissRainbowBrite · 28/11/2017 21:17

Me too, only one of my EB mugs came boxed so I'm on the lookout for some nice boxes. Card Factory had some nice ones but I need to check sizes.

Jaffalong · 28/11/2017 21:26

Historymad I've bought seasons greetings cards from the card factory , wh smiths and Hema before.

happy holidays cards

GinAndSonic · 28/11/2017 21:33

Amazon has the Guinness book of world records for 7quid on a lightening deal.

Letty7 · 28/11/2017 21:34

Thanks for the boden code, though im really trying to resist buying anything else from there!

I have a £5 off £30 lakeland code if anyone would like it?

BluePlanetBaby · 28/11/2017 21:39

@woodwaj I would love a Firebox code. (Have name changed and can't even remember if it was me who originally asked!)

woodwaj · 28/11/2017 21:58

I've sent it over for you Blue. Hope it works. It was on the back of the Xmas catalogue so if you sign up they should send one next year it's the only mail I ever get from them

The b&m boxes look nice. I'll have to pop in to check the sizes!

GlowWine · 28/11/2017 22:04

@WoahBodyforrrrm

Not sure if you've had an answer already but I've bought unusual miniatures from:
www.justminiatures.co.uk/

remember to go through topCashback but delivery is pricey...

Trudee · 28/11/2017 22:07

Anyone seen a set of 4 stacking Christmas mugs? I want some for the Xmas eve box but not seen many around. Tesco have some that will do but hoping someone has spotted some more somewhere
TIA Smile

Batbear · 28/11/2017 22:17

@Llamacorn what ages and what sort of interests? I'm almost done so happy to search around for you if you tell me how much you have to play with

Ginxed · 28/11/2017 22:41

My woolovers order hasn't arrived, it seems it is lost with the courier so they are resending it via royal mail. They offered me the option of a refund instead, but why wouldn't I want 2 jumpers for £10?

WhyamIBoredathome · 28/11/2017 22:45

I've just ordered a case of beer for OH from Beer52.com. Did Flavourly last year so mixing it up a bit this year.

They gave me a referral code which means you can a case of 8 for £12 delivered (which is a steal for craft beer!).
I've stuck it on the referral thread or pm
Me if you want it.

ReindeerPoop · 28/11/2017 22:46

@Trudee Asda had some nice ones in a metal holder

WhyamIBoredathome · 28/11/2017 22:47

Anyone need to order some nice wine?

Got sent this email voucher for £10 off. See pic for details. It's generic, not a referral and I think it's probably unlimited uses.

bunbunny · 28/11/2017 22:54

Somebody upthread wanted a photo book.

Haven't used them personally but Wowcher are currently doing a £15 for a 106 page A4 photo book instead of £95ish (plus there's £6 delivery) - seems a good deal... It's from Smiley Hippo and I think they have good reviews.

Cataline · 28/11/2017 22:55

Despite saying that I'd be so much more organised this year, I am horribly behind with gift shopping again!
Has anyone spotted a Batman snow globe anywhere? I don't even know if they exist and it would definitely need to be less than £20.
Failing that, if you could suggest anything very cool and batman themed for a grown up man then I'd be most grateful!

Organisednotobsessed · 28/11/2017 23:11

So Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been and gone and now my family are sending me Christmas lists!

Does anyone have an M&S code and/or an H&M code to share please?

cookiefiend · 28/11/2017 23:12

Sorry should have made the Argos thing clear - the £5 off a £40 spend code is generic. But many people also received a £5 off no minimum spend voucher code entitled something like 'an exclusive gift for you'. This code can be stacked with the first one.

I also used the benefits scheme through DHs work and got an extra 7% off by buying a voucher there. Ten went through topcashback. Still feels like a good bargain... even if I didn't strictly need it!

dancemom · 28/11/2017 23:20

Thanks pp for the magnum and Info, have ordered one

Can anyone advise on the miband deal?
