Skipped over to amazon to look at the reduced kindle fires as need one for DD5 but it says they will have adverts added to the lock screen which you then have to pay to get rid of. Presumably to offset the reduction in price. Has anyone experience of how bad/annoying this is?
Wonder if anywhere else has them marked down this week without the ads?

My MIL said at Aldi this morning that people had their kids with them to get around the 2 Kevin’s 2 Katie’s per person rule. And that one guy was counting up how many he had to list on EBay. So making their kids late for school and not even buying one for their children

It's not annoying, it's just an add that appears rather than you choosing a photo when it's not used for a few minutes.

Ads don't pop up when you're using it (not due to that anywAy)

Dd has one like that and it's not been a problem, I wouldn't pay personally to stop it.
