@chocolatepudandchocolatesauce tqtoys?

@BanoffeePieIsMyFave I've always found Hearst to be really easy to cancel.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 26/11/2017 17:43

Has anyone managed to get the aeropress and pact coffee with the £5 off with a referal code? Just wondering if its possible, doesn't seem to be though...

LunarGirl · 26/11/2017 18:11

Does anyone have any suggestions for MIL who is obsessed with Michael Kors at the moment. Would like to get her some sort of gift set (perfume maybe?) but to be honest she'd be happy with anything MK branded. she's like a bloody teenager Grin. Here's the catch... Budget is around £50. FIL has got her a bag, she already has a purse and watch so the really expensive stuff is sorted. Any ideas, codes or obscure websites? Thank you!

RJnomore1 · 26/11/2017 18:13

Who was looking for champagne?

Landon is £22 in Sainsbury's

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 26/11/2017 18:13

@lunar beverbrooks do dainty MK bracelets from around £45+
I bet they do codes. Goldsmiths might do them and Tesco do a good double points system with them.

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 26/11/2017 18:17

Thanks @FireflyGirl -could I delete the direct debit on internet banking once paid?? Or would the magazine not be delivered?

SkeletonSkins · 26/11/2017 18:27

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has spotted any Lego friends Snow Resort deals or know perhaps an Argos code to get some money off? SIL has asked for this for DN but of course has bought the only two sets under £20 already herself so any of the more expensive ones would be fine apparently. She has form for this! Happy to spend about £20 but can't really spend more than that.

Theonlyoneiknow · 26/11/2017 18:28

A few of the lego snow sets have popped up half price one the past few days!

Theonlyoneiknow · 26/11/2017 18:29

Sorry that's on Amazon

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 26/11/2017 18:31

Looking for some wireless headphones so DH can hear tv while on the treadmill. I am useless with technology so wondering if anyone can advise?

Wait4nothing · 26/11/2017 18:44

I’m also looking for a Fitbit type thing for my Mum with a decent recommendation - she doesn’t carry her phone around at work but wants to track steps/distance.

allaboutthatsass · 26/11/2017 18:50

My dniece has now said she wants a beauty box subscription but I don't know what one to get. She's 14 and into Mac makeup and things like that. Can anyone advise on how it works and what one is best for contents and price?
Also I'm a bit concerned that I wont have an actual gift to hand to her as it might arrive directly to her house either well before or well after xmas day.

MinnowAndTheBear · 26/11/2017 18:55

I got some GHD hair straightener today for £65 down from £87 using a price drop alert from camelcamelcamel. Amazon have dropped the price (very quickly) a few times this week so it’s worth looking out for.

runningpink · 26/11/2017 19:03

Thanks spelling but I don’t think he would be fussed for an echo dot unfortunately. He is an absolute nightmare to buy for, my whole family are really.

RJnomore1 · 26/11/2017 19:07

@LunarGirl

The brand new michael kors fragrance gift set is down to £53 on boots right now - think you would need to be quick as it's a Black Friday deal.

For the posters looking for a cheap tracker band, i have a mi band. And it works just fine. Have had it 3 years. Battery life is fab, nice and simple. The app is easy to use. It isnt fancy like the fitbits or anything but it is really good. Mine was £12. I just bout OH a newer one and that was £25 but i paid £13. Worth looking at.

RJnomore1 · 26/11/2017 19:23

Posted a very lengthy post about this on the wrong thread so condensed version:

Any recommendations of a laptop for a 13yo for homework and YouTube/browsing? Around £300 mark.

Wait4nothing · 26/11/2017 19:29

Thanks @timeformy10thcuppa will have s look now

Jedbartletforpresident · 26/11/2017 19:30

IHopeYouStepOnAPieceOfLego (I can't even remember if that's your name but it's something like that! Blush
I spotted
these cute dog eye masks in Claire's at the weekend. My DD have a few of their animal eye masks and love them - really handy for travelling or just for summer nights, but actually my girls wear theirs all the time.

They were still full price in store, but they were doing an offer of buy 3 things and get 3 free and they have very sweet matching bags (I guess like kiddie versions of makeup bags). I bought 3 bags and got the 3 eye masks free so DDs got a new set each and 1 for the present cupboard. Result!

LostMyRubySlippers · 26/11/2017 19:37

banoffee I think once you’ve paid your £5 that means you’ll get all 5 mags, the next payment would be for the next however many iyswim. So think you can just cancel with your bank once the £5 has been taken. I have 2 subs I intend to do this with although haven’t done yet!

allaboutthatsass · 26/11/2017 19:44

@RJnomore1

What about a chromebook? My DD uses one for youtube and homework. It cost under £200. It has everything she needs really.

It doesn't have microsoft word, it uses google docs instead but you can add MS word easily.

RJnomore1 · 26/11/2017 19:48

I was actually just looking at a chromebook. Would you recommend then?

allaboutthatsass · 26/11/2017 19:52

I would definitely for a teenager. It has everything that age needs although I'm currently typing this on a chromebook which is what I use the most.

My only issue with my chromebook is that I'm doing a masters thesis and some documents only open in word so I do use my husband's laptop for some things but for school work, its not a problem. DD's school send all her work via google docs.
