Stuck with main present, stuck with stocking fillers!

She likes music and art.

My dd is a little bit older at 14, but young for her age. Stocking fillers anything unicorn and for her main present I'm getting her a recording studio session. Her twin brother on the other hand I've less of a clue!

SleepForTheWeek · 19/11/2017 18:46

Could you get tickets for favourite band/musician?

loveisevol · 19/11/2017 18:48

I’ve bought Ed Sheeran tickets for my 12 yo dd.

Taffeta · 19/11/2017 18:52

DD is 11 and for main present I’m getting her a sprocket. Or maybe an Instax if sprockets aren’t reduced by the beginning of December.

I’ve also got her a few books, stuff from Body Shop, Tiger, Hema plus a Panda money box, popsocket and the new HP illustrated book.

Headphones, electric ukulele, loads of art stuff in a nice carry box.

BarchesterFlowers · 19/11/2017 19:00

11.5 here - bath stuff (Jack Wills seems favourite), clothes (Jack Wills seems favourite Hmm), Timberland boots, Dakine backpack, piece of handmade jewellery that I have yet to find, a Folio Society book (tradition here we all get one at Xmas and birthdays), possibly a swisher mouthpiece for her clarinet.

Harder than ever this year and feels slightly odd because I would buy everything apart from the jewellery and Folio book on an ordinary day if I thought she needed it.

I bought DD three pairs of absolutely lovely autograph pyjamas recently that would have made a lovely xmas gift - I couldn't wait though because she had grown out of all her warmer night stuff. These

Arty stuff I have bought in the past - at 8-9 I bought lots of Djeco art sets (but many would have done at 10 - 12) and this thing which is still used at 11.5.

Oops I just saw the price of that art thing - I bought it in 2014 and paid about £30, sorry Blush.

My dd (10) is having a laptop for her main present.
She keeps borrowing mine or her brother’s for homework and it drives us crazy!
Stocking fillers she has got smellies, anything with unicorns on, nice bra top and knickers sets, stationery, novelty sweets/chocolates, little make up bits etc.
She is really easy to buy for and I find girls stocking fillers easy.

Ds (13) is another matter!

rcit · 19/11/2017 19:08

Thanks all - will google what a few of these things are! Very much like ticket idea.

Confuzzle, for your 14yo ds, maybe a superdry tshirt or gaming tshirt if he's into that (can get all sorts online).

My daughter is due an upgrade on her phone so she is getting that as part of her Christmas. Also got Ed Sheeran tickets which she will be delighted with as I told her I couldn't get them.
Otherwise it seems to be clothes this year and some make up. Got Jack Wills jumper with 30% off and then some things from Topshop. Thinking of getting her a make up mirror with lights round it and some PJs.
Do feel like the clothes are things she needs rather than presents if you know what I mean.

ParadiseCity · 19/11/2017 19:16

Nintendo games and accessories mostly. I will get her some lego to keep her busy when we visit relatives. Plus lots of books.

ohtheholidays · 19/11/2017 21:10

Our 10 year old DD is getting some Sylvanian family bits,a couple of larger sets and some little furniture sets to go with it,a Siwi singing Jo Jo Doll,a couple of our Generation bits(she has quite a few of the dolls)and a camera.

snowmanshoes · 19/11/2017 21:19

my soon to be 12 year old will be getting lots of board games, knitting things as she's just found that she really likes this, several books and pottery cool ( only bought that the other week when saw it on offer for less than £20), some pop vinyls to add to her collection and some earrings, Hunger Games mug and t-shirt.

StormyLovesOdd · 19/11/2017 21:19

My add is getting the Sewing Bee Sewing Station, Lego and art bits n pieces. It’s hard this year, she doesn’t even know herself what she wants, she’s too young to appreciate clothes and jewellery but too old for most toys.

SouthWestmom · 19/11/2017 21:45

My 10 and 12 year old boys want:

Funko DIY pop vinyls
River Island clothes
SIMS 4
Books

happsymum · 20/11/2017 09:03

Watching eagerly as also struggling for 12yr DD

haba · 20/11/2017 09:11

Such a tricky age to buy for, as they all mature at different rates- some are still playing with toys, others are like miniature 18yos.
Art- really good pencils such as Derwent Intense
Good watercolour set
Lots of coloured card and paper
A lightbox
Calligraphy set

Music
Instrument (depends on £££ obviously!)
Decent headphones (not wireless for this age!!)
iPod
iTunes vouchers
Concert trip
What type of music are we talking? Lots of courses for instruments, singing etc

haba · 20/11/2017 09:11
