Thanks Taffeta looks like I'll have to email them, bummer.

Soubriquet · 20/11/2017 12:36

I need to get my little brother a cars 3 talking smokey.

It's £20 in Sainsbury's..I'm holding out for the sale as it went down to £10 last time but I didn't need get a chance to buy it...

Does anyone else know where I could get one around the £10 mark?

TellMeItsNotTrue · 20/11/2017 12:40

house mine took about a week, I would say maybe 10 days since its running up to Christmas now, but any longer definitely chase it up! Also it should fit through the door so it's not like they've tried to deliver and you've been out

If you haven't already, I would go to your account and change subscription to longest you can (12 weeks I think) so you have time to get replacement and then cancel. With the extra time before replacement arrives I wouldn't want you going on to 2nd box!!

HouseworkIsASin10 · 20/11/2017 12:57

TellMeItsNotTrue I changed the date straight away after another poster said the same thing, which makes me think have they not bothered with the 1st box because they think it's been sent out!

I've emailed them now, so fingers crossed.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 20/11/2017 13:06

Might have been me who said it, I changed mine as soon as order was done but boxes still came and I just went on and cancelled when delivered. Fingers crossed that you hear from them soon

cookiefiend · 20/11/2017 13:18

I need to buy my mum an aeropress. I recently saw on hukd that they were £18 on an amazon lightening deal last Wednesday. I have checked a couple of times since then as I am sure they will come back up, but not yet. if anyone notices them on a lightening deal please let me know! (Or any other good deals. I think last year I got one for about £23 but it included a nice bag of coffee)

Thanks

KitKatCHA · 20/11/2017 13:20

Lego Ninjago set from the new film, was £24.99 down to £16.88

Soggy Doggy game reduced from £24.99 to £13.59

TheDrsDocMartens · 20/11/2017 13:22

I’m hoping for a Fitbit in Busch Friday if anyone sees one. Has to be one with heart rate apparently.

drspouse · 20/11/2017 13:28

Right! I can do click and collect to the PO nearest work so I've just ordered the suit thingy. Just hoping I can actually carry it as the parking is awful (easier to park at work and walk).
Will then "hide" it in my office till about the 21st and then in the attic where DH rarely goes!

Juliecloud · 20/11/2017 13:37

Has anyone had a refund from amazon recently for price changes? I asked for one cos something I bought on Friday is now £2 cheaper but they said I had to return the original thing and reorder it at the new price. I said this was a ridiculous waste of fuel and packaging for the sake of £2 but they were not shifting on the matter!

drspouse · 20/11/2017 13:39

Grr! Amazon don't do collection for things like this. But La Redoute do click and collect from a garage on the way to work and have a v nice one plus a Black Friday code.
Let's hope my order doesn't get cancelled like everyone else's seems to have been at La Redoute.

Llamacorn · 20/11/2017 13:39

Hi everyone, thanks for the concern. I've been a bit poorly and it's hard to catch up with all you bargain hunters, I've missed so much!

Dh wants to get dd1 an Apple Watch rather than a new phone, does anyone think the new ones will be reduced for BF or is that wishful thinking?

Had an email from Monica Vinader with a pre Black Friday sale of 30%. Beautiful jewellery, although not particularly bargianous some of the linear and friendship bracelets are reduced down to £80 here

butterflymum · 20/11/2017 13:41

@drspouse, which valet stand did you settle on buying? I've been looking at them, but the quality seems so varied, as do some of the reviews.

butterflymum · 20/11/2017 13:43

oops, cross post, I see you are now getting it from La Redoute.

Honeydragon · 20/11/2017 13:44

Very are reducing the Apple watch 3 on Friday

Llamacorn · 20/11/2017 13:47

Ooh really @honeydragon do you know what it will be reduced by roughly? Very have a deal now where 20% of the cost is refunded to your account on buy now pay 12 months later, but for some reason I can't get it to work on my account at all.

MarriedAroundChristmas · 20/11/2017 13:48

I wondered how the DC was of the poster who mentioned that last Christmas was spent in hospital? Can't remember your name, but really hope that your DC is feeling well.

Reastie · 20/11/2017 13:48

Oh no drspouse, that sounds grim. Hoping everything is ok (including your dd!).

Glad you're ok llama. Apple don't tend to have many reductions on anything but maybe if you be ugh it somewhere like very (if they sell it) you could get a discount if there are any codes about?

this usbourne lift the flap questions and answers book is down to £3 on amazon. Dd loves these books so I've got one for her. It's not in stock but I ordered last week and it came today (they will dispatch when new stock comes in).

If you sign up to FitFlop emails you get 20% off your first order.

I needed some decent slippers (need some support) and have previously ruled out these as too expensive but I've just ordered some for just under £34 delivered, plus hopefully 15% and/or £2.50 from Quidco.

(they are the felt clogs called Shuv which were already reduced to £42 but got further 20% off with the sign-up code)

Reastie · 20/11/2017 13:49

Cross posts with honey dragon but I'm secretly pleased my idea of very seemed a good one!

Can anyone help me find the best bargain for really thick socks (thermal?). I am making up christmas stockings for the homeless soup kitchen in my town and this is the most asked for item. I need 35 pairs! Thank you!

Chocolateteabag · 20/11/2017 14:05

@GinYummy - Mountain Warehouse? If you have a store nearby maybe see if they would donate them?

Jedbartletforpresident · 20/11/2017 14:13

Gin we have found thermal socks in Poundworld/land and Home Bargains in the past which we've used for gift bags for the homeless shelter. I don't know whether they are high quality or not, but DH has also bought them for hillwalking and he says they're fine. They also have more feminine looking ones for women which are a bit nicer than the standard black/grey.

In fact, we have made up the gift bags in the past almost exclusively from those shops. We always put in socks, gloves, hat, lipbalm, hand sanitiser, toothbrush, toothpaste and tissues as the practical stuff and then sweets, biscuits & chocolate as Christmassy treats. The small tins of danish butter biscuits in those shops apparently always go down well because the tin keeps the biscuits fresh and is then useful for keeping stuff in afterwards

Chocolateteabag · 20/11/2017 14:15

M&S in Teeside park has loads of the Beauty Advent Calendars if anyone needs one.
Does anyone know where would be best to look for a reconditioned iPod touch? Apple direct or can I trust the ones on eBay?

Honeydragon · 20/11/2017 14:16

No idea but as it’s a credit account you could always order one on the Thursday with the 20% recredit then if Friday is cheaper return Thursdays is a tricky one isn’t it?
