I didn' t go for the Pi myself, but if I had received such an email, I would be immediately sending a copy to Amazon and asking if they considered it appropriate for a seller to play on your emotions in this way.

There is a 'report to amazon' clicky thing at the end of the email, so I think I'll do that. They could of cancelled the order, it makes me wonder what I'll receive today! You don't think the email's genuine though do you? I hate to think that I'm taking advantage of a genuine mistake

That email looks super dodgy @dangerousmouse, I could understand an email stating they put the wrong price and to consider cancelling your order but a full back story about his hardworking mum is just plain odd!

@curiousgeorgey For the nerf battle racer, Costco have them in for just under £150 - I don't know if you have one near you or know somebody with a card but it seems to be a better price than anywhere else.

@toblernone I saw a beautiful large Xmas eve box in hallmark a couple of weeks back, can't remember if it was £5 or £10 but it was sturdy and huge - I remember thinking I could get all 5 of our Jamie's and bits & bobs in. B&M also have large ones for £7 (sturdy material with poppers at the side so they can be stored flat) and Matalan have some nice ones too.

Dangerous ignore it, Amazon marketplace sellers are twats for pulling this stunt....I've had some really awful ones...each one I've contacted amazing chat and copied and pasted the message to them. Don't take it seriously.

I can't remember who I was chatting to about the magazine subscription with the free blender, I spoke to them today and they said it will be 28 working days so about the middle of this month

@DangerousMouse I would definitely report to Amazon as they sent me this after I ordered at 7.15am yesterday so I think they knew there was a price problem. It sounds v dodgy to me.

I’ve flagged the email to Amazon as being suspicious and possibly not genuine. I would have accepted a straightforward cancellation order like apple received, but as her order was cancelled before I ordered, I’m unsure as to why they continued to sell them at the low price, unless it was to pull you in to a further scam?!
