@ChristmasSeacow for bullet journaling you can get washi tape quite cheaply from Ali express or very cheaply from eBay.com if you have the patience to bid on loads and only win a couple. Search washi tape then refine as free shipping and select auction. I got some lovely rolls for less than 20p delivered that way.

A nice set of coloured fineliners- often the supermarkets sell these off from the stationary section. And tk maxx has an increasing selection of stickers etc that would go nicely with it.

Darn, missed the Boden code! If anyone else has one expiring today that they won't use, I'd be very grateful. Thanks

Thanks Cookie. I want sure whether I'd left it too late for Ali Express but may be worth a try? I'll keep my eyes peeled for fineliners, I have seen them in Tesco's recently but hadnt started thinking about Christmas at that time!

Someone who knows about fingerlings - are they suitable for a 4.5yr old girl?

It has just occurred that my DH has no idea about a gift for his God daughter, they live abroad but we'll see them at Xmas so need a gift.

Heads up to everyone that the aldi toy event is Thursday 26th October. And you can usually preorder online before then. I've got an alert set up for that so I'll let you know when it's available.

I just opened my Lisa Angel box and am very impressed indeed. Tbh, I was expecting it to be a bit like ebay-amazon-Chinese-stocking-filler stuff, but it's really nice quality. The bangle I was going to give to step-niece is staying firmly on my wrist and I'm heading back over for more today. I ordered late Saturday night, and it arrived yesterday, and I'm in southern Europe! Free postage too. (Smiggle etc with your £15 postage, take note...)

For anyone looking for a football themed gift for an individual or family, this seems a good deal (have checked reviews on a few sites and although mixed, I think for the price at The Works, it is worth taking a chance on, especially as quality of board/pieces is apparently good):

Super11 game for £10

It is a strategy game, but with an element of chance thrown in too.

A quick google shows it to retail at over £20 elsewhere. The Works offer excludes use of promotion codes on the game, but going via Quidco might give a small saving.

@christmasscarecrow River island kids do some lovely bags, they're not too expensive and just a smaller version of some of their adult ones. My 11yr old dd likes them. Love the idea of bullet journaling too - I'm getting some bits and bobs for my dds, some dotted notebooks, colourful pens, washi tape can be bought cheaply from hobbycraft or tiger too.

Can anyone help me out with ideas for a 10 yo boy please? Need a gift for my nephew, he lives in France so don't see him often and it's hard to know what he's into and what he's got already.
He likes football but no idea about favourite teams. He speaks no English so can't be any game that involves cards with words, or complicated instructions.

Budget is about £20-30. I'm clueless, my DS is only 3 so it's a whole different kettle of fish!

I was missing 2 clarins samples :( - and the amount of packaging - big box of foamy things - ridiculous! great sizes though so pleased overall the eye makeup remover will be perfect for travel!

Are there any tips for best buys from Lisa angel - the chains with letters don't have any letters we need unfortunately or I would get those in a flash.

Thanks for thread Reastie.
