Welcome one and all, see post two for links.

This Christmas we will mostly be watching the children spinning in bilibos with their head torches on and we will be drinking pact coffee in our Emma Bridgewater polka dot mugs

I just ordered the hotel chocolat taster box and no code was needed, it just went through. Thank you for the heads up.

MrsCrimbo74 · 12/10/2017 14:27

I'm using Jessops photo books at the moment and it's really easy to use.

bunningsbunny · 12/10/2017 14:28

Reastie I prefer to make photobooks with apps/software that you download and use on your computer, then when you've finished you can just upload the entire thing at once.

Currently I think that includes Jessops (and other companies that use CeWe books), Tesco, BonusPrint, Photoworld and Photobox, although I haven't used all of them to know which is the best or cheapest of the lot.

Tesco has the advantage compared to most other suppliers of being able to offer a 'pick up in store' option which can cut several pounds off the price as postage is quite costly from most places. If you sign up to their photo website for offers, they regularly have deals on for half price photobooks which again makes them much more reasonable!

On a previous christmas thread, somebody linked to a photo deal on the groupon or wowcher photo pages - they had some deals that looked quite good so it would probably be worth checking them out too...

Reastie · 12/10/2017 14:41

Thanks for the photo book help. Bunny I don't have a computer so have to do it all from my iPad.

Unluckycat my EB spotty mug had a big black mark in the actual glaze really noticeably. However, good on EB for honouring the code stack.

Email them. They will ask for a photo. They will send you a new one and usually say keep the old one as well.

NotPennysBoat · 12/10/2017 14:48

@mycatislickingherpaw thanks for the code, I think I might love you! Smile

yumyumpoppycat · 12/10/2017 14:54

This might not help anyone but code TREAT for 15% off first purchase off Aveda - says includes 2 free samples and free delivery.

DumbledoresArmy · 12/10/2017 14:55

Is there a salt rock code??

yumyumpoppycat · 12/10/2017 15:02

Reastie I was just going to recommend snapfish then scrolled back and realised that is who you used Blush I do remember it took a long time when I made one a couple of years ago but I was very happy with it when it was done and I think their background options were better than on other sites.

yumyumpoppycat · 12/10/2017 15:05

Groupon photobook deal - review says site not user friendly but book worth the effort so a bit of a common theme groupn leather photobook

peachy94 · 12/10/2017 15:42

Not sure if it's been mentioned but you can get a 4 pack of that's not my books in Costco for £10 a Christmas set and an animal set

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 12/10/2017 15:55

EB sent my missing mugs out and they come safely today! Hooray!

Except they're the plain version instead of my personalised ones...FFS!!

Rockhopper81 · 12/10/2017 16:06

@Reastie

I've used Tesco for photo books a couple of times now and found them pretty straightforward.

(I fell out with Snapfish when they stopped doing the size of book I was ordering for a series, one per year, so they'll be a different size from last year onwards which just annoys me!)

Anyway, I agree the bonus of Tesco is being able to collect in store even if the Max Spielman employees in my local store are miserable as sin.

Boffered1 · 12/10/2017 16:08

For any Smiggle fans. They have an extra 20% off sale items. Online today and in store tomorrow

Carrie76 · 12/10/2017 16:16

I still have an ELC birthday code, 20% off. Expires on 14th October

Carrie76 · 12/10/2017 16:18

Has anyone ordered a personalised book from dinkleboo? They're doing a flash sale but 1 get 2 free. Thinking of getting Christmas ones for my 3 as they've a few different titles

buckeejit · 12/10/2017 16:18

Was there fingerling chat earlier? Dd now keeps going on about the monkey fingers she's seen on TV. I know nothing about them-what's a good price & are they as pointless as they look?! If I get her 2 at least that will be something she can have from her enormous list!

FoofFighter · 12/10/2017 16:27

@DumbledoresArmy I ordered last night for first time and then they gave me a referral link for 25% off for you and £10 off a spend for me, it’s a few posts back, around 8-9pm last night. I’m on my phone so might take me longer to get it again as I’m useless on app

FoofFighter · 12/10/2017 16:30

Oh maybe I’m getting better at this Grin

SALTROCK
25% off for you and £10 off a future order for me <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=www.talkable.com/x/627l1f" target="_blank">https://www.talkable.com/x/627l1f

fraggle84 · 12/10/2017 16:35

carrie I’ve sent you a pm about the elc code if it’s still available I’d love it

PerfumeIsAMessage · 12/10/2017 16:53

Reastie- to add to your confusion, I keep coming back to Photobox as I reckon their quality is superior to the others. Been using them for about 12 years and as tech improves their site and uploading wotsits get easier and easier.

I also luffs them because when my external hard drive died taking all my photos of dd with it, I found I'd uploaded most of them to PB over the years so could re-download them!

There's a 40% off offer at the mo' and you get 50 free prints with each order.

Albelli were the dog's bollocks re quality but I don't know if they are still going.

I always partake of the Truprint/Snapfish/Vistaprint (the Ryanair of photos - tells you it's thrupence and then by the time it's added things on like colour, and envelopes it's £340 when there are mega offers, but PB is my favourite.

Missmaxie- thanks for reminding me about Whittard, going to order for my step-mum, step-sis and hot chocolate thingies for dd. Flowers

Gooseysgirl · 12/10/2017 16:55

Albelli are now known as Bonusprint

Toblernone · 12/10/2017 16:58

Perfume - Albelli were amazing, we got some gorgeous albums from them but they've been taken over by bonusprint so not sure whether to try them again or not.
