Welcome one and all, see post two for links.

This Christmas we will mostly be watching the children spinning in bilibos with their head torches on and we will be drinking pact coffee in our Emma Bridgewater polka dot mugs

Top Cash Back often have cash back on The Book People - currently 10% for new customers or 8% for existing customers, however they now specify that they can't be used with any onsite or external voucher codes, so guess it will only be worth it on days when they're running promotions of things already reduced rather than when you need to put in a code.

The Book People seem to be tightening up on codes - I did an order from them recently and couldn't get a couple of codes to stack, knowing that I have done with no problems in the past. As it was late and the main deal was running out, I went ahead and did the order but sent an online message to ask how I should have done it. In the past they would have apologised for the problem and added the free diary to my order. This time I just got a note to say that it wasn't supposed to work as codes cannot be stacked, you have to choose which offer you want...

I just picked upy EB order from my local shop (I had it delivered there as I couldn’t get the order to do free postage) and all three mugs are boxed including the polka dot one and in a beautiful EB bag. So that is three presents sorted for a total of £20. Very happy!

Forgot a photo!

Thanks mrsmadevans for upsy Daisy link

feebeemee · 11/10/2017 15:47

EB mugs arrived today, one each for DS's teachers, 1 for me!

MooseyMoo · 11/10/2017 15:48

Carrot This is the first time I've seen a Boden gift voucher with a minimum spend.

WhyamI If there wasn't a min spend on your voucher, then just try it on anything. You might have a diff voucher to me. I'll try and attach a photo of mine

I found a Hotel Chocolat subscription voucher that came with my EB order ages ago - £6.95 - so have ordered that for one of my foodie gifts. They can have one of my many Pact coffee orders too!

DH has now requested - drumroll - a suit valet hanger thing!
Bizarre but relatively easy to get hold of/not too expensive!

MissRainbowBrite · 11/10/2017 15:51

Home Bargains have also got a scented candle advent calendar. It's the Wickford & Co one. Only got 4 different scents on a rotation but pretty good for £3.99. The gingerbread one is delicious

Xalonera · 11/10/2017 15:54

Ah! Thanks for the heads up on Curry's including tcb MrsCrimbo74,** that's looking like the best deal I'll get

Lolly12 · 11/10/2017 15:57

Not massively bargainous but these jigsaws of towns/cities are quite nice and a bit different. The code GU132A knocks £4 off.

sorry Albuspercieval yes I'm just wondering what's inside the Hype bags? But I'm only curious, I don't expect you to open them (unless they are easily opened and re-sealed of course, then it would be in the interest of the thread for you to do so!!)

macnab · 11/10/2017 16:03

Oh that's lovely Wiifitmama - must be because you picked them up from a store that they were boxed and in a bag too. Fab!

AlbusPercival · 11/10/2017 16:07

I think they are just bags?!

Llamacorn · 11/10/2017 16:11

There's nothing inside the hype bags, they were randomly selected for £10 instead of the £20-£25 they would normally be.

My big surprise lol doll came from smyths after the first one was stolen, so that was fab customer service from them. I'm going to complain to the delivery company though as this box was ripped open and you can see what's inside. I dread to think someone is going through parcels to see if something is worth stealing Sad

I also managed to pick up a twinkling owlicorn hatchimal from toysrus for dd3.
I feel a bit weird I don't have any 'big' present for her this year, it's going to look like she has loads compared to her sisters, even though theirs willl be costing more.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 11/10/2017 16:11

My Aunt has asked for some pyjamas from Hush...I think not!!

Shufflebum · 11/10/2017 16:22

My mystery Hype bag has arrived!
It’s nice, lots of mini skyscrapers but I don’t think DS will want it as it’s a bit pink/purples.
Anyone want to swap for something a bit more boyish?!

NotPennysBoat · 11/10/2017 16:26

We do a Secret Santa thing for colleagues kids at work (sounds weird but is actually fab in my line of work!). So I need gift ideas please for:
11yo boy
8yo boy
6yo girl
5yo boy
2yo girl

I know nothing about these children or their interests! I would like to spend £5-8 each on gifts that are worth £10-£15 if that makes sense, ie I need bargains!

Llamacorn · 11/10/2017 16:27

legopiece would she like any of the boux avenue pyjamas instead? They have foreground pjs in a bag, and although they are £38 they are buy one get one free atm. They also have some discounted ones in a bag from £12-£18 and they have other offers on some, like a free top when you purchase seperate bottoms, or 20% off. here

AgnesBrownsCat · 11/10/2017 16:27

You're not in NI by any chance Feebeemee?😂
I'm a teacher in a jobshare and would love a EB mug for Christmas . Ps that's what I always buy my child's teachers .

Llamacorn · 11/10/2017 16:28

*gorgeous, not foreground

torthecatlady · 11/10/2017 16:39

Thank you @TellMeItsNotTrue - entered the competition! Such a cute mug!

SockEatingMonster · 11/10/2017 16:44

I got a no minimum spend £10 Boden voucher (thank you Johnny) but didn't really need much, so used the voucher plus a discount/free delivery code to buy DD some gloves for £9. Not only was I able to checkout, but they gave me a £1 account credit too.

To be fair though, I do spend a bloody fortune with them normally.
