Oh! Pringles could be good 😁

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 28/09/2017 21:18

Damnit. That new Echo is the same price as the version 1 I've got for DH's present Angry Any experts know if the functionality will essentially be the same? Wondering whether to preorder the new one and re-gift the old?

Badders08 · 28/09/2017 21:19

Got him a keyring last year (which hes uses every day for school)
He got headphones last year and they are still in the box 🙄
Has a wallet but doesnt need it now as school uses parentpay
Doesn't drink hot drinks so mug wouldbt be used..
He's a nightmare 😁

Badders08 · 28/09/2017 21:19

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 28/09/2017 21:21

Can anyone help me out , i saw a game in b&m today, can not remember what it was called. It had strings you atavh to furniture and u have to deactivate the timer. If you touch the string the time reduces. Anyone have an idea wha im talking about? And if you have it is it any good? It was about £25.

Also on the hunt for a cheap mp3 player for OH needs to hold a few hundred songs.
I was never into harry potter, but DS is a huge book lover, he is 6 and a complete softie/ worrier. Would these be suitable? Or can anyone recomend anything? He will read almost anything he can get his hands on.

ReindeerPoop · 28/09/2017 21:21

Has anyone got a spare ELC Birthday code? Are they still being issued as I haven't had one this year Sad

drspouse · 28/09/2017 21:31

We usually get a magazine/comic/picture book for your DCs stockings, they fill them up nicely.

nickdrakeslovechild · 28/09/2017 21:31

HideHide B&M had the unicorn popper in this week for either £1.99 or £2.99.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/09/2017 21:33

Thanks for the Toyella delivery info... after a bit of messing about I realised it was because of the order value. I cut a few things out but have sorted lots of kids' presents so am pleased.

I bought some stuff from a Toyella last year and was pleased with it all

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 28/09/2017 21:34

Buying two isn't in the spirit of bargain hunting so I'll stick with the Echo I already bought. Stupid Amazon.

CocoPuffsinGodMode · 28/09/2017 21:44

TimeForMy 6 is a bit young for Harry Potter imo. Even the first one is probably a bit scary for him and they get darker. I'm just this year starting DD and she's 8 in October.

The book people have good offers. They have the Roald Dahl 15 book collection at £21.99 at the moment

LostMyRubySlippers · 28/09/2017 21:46

Sorry if already mentioned but lots of offers on dvds at zoom today only, including 20% off with code ZD20SEPT28

buckeejit · 28/09/2017 22:09

Ah voldemort, thought you meant that it was £50 off 3 dots, which is the only thing that would push me to it-thinking they might do that sort of offer on Black Friday, in which case I could get away with them as my secret Santa presents, dum de dum.

Thanks for the aigle boots rec-now to discreetly find out if dh has normal or narrow or broad feet before committing to these wellies!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 28/09/2017 22:11

time my dd is 8 and really likes harry potter. My 5 year old falls asleep every time we put the film on, she's never seen hogwarts 😂😂 I would say the 1st 2 books would be ok. But personally I would say to read 1st or read with him as some bits are a little scary. You can get illustrated editions if those and they are beautiful books perfect for reading together 😁

Betsy86 · 28/09/2017 22:14

reastie actually maybe don't show her daddy goes catwalk...... just looked it up it's been out a long time sold out most places and over £200 on amazon! Ridiculous. The fluffy dog was in newer and £25 in Argos plus 3 for 2 xx

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 28/09/2017 22:16

Thank you , will hold off for a while then. Will look at the roald dahl ones instead. Thanks.

AgnesBrownsCat · 28/09/2017 22:18

Buckeejit , the best adult wellies are the green farmers Dunlop ones . Probably about 15 quid and will last for ages .
My kids have had a variety of wellies over the years . Joules and Hunter are rubbish and not worth the money . The current Boden pair have worn well but my favourite ones out of the branded wellies are Aigle. I'm sure they do adult ones too but no idea of prices.

AgnesBrownsCat · 28/09/2017 22:20

What about a pair of Dunlop wellies and some funky welly socks . My kids have hunter and joules ones which have worn much better than the wellies (half price next sale some years ago) and I bought an unbranded pair form eBay which I've had for a few years .

yellowsun · 28/09/2017 22:22

DS keeps eyeing up expensive robots that cost over £100. I don't think it will be played with so would be a waste. Has anyone seen any cheaper bargains ?

imsorryiasked · 28/09/2017 22:23

Can anyone tell me if Melissa & Doug wooden doll people are the same size as the ELC Rosebud Village family?
I've got some Rosebud sets that I bought in the sales a couple of months ago, but prefer the look of the M&D dolls.

singadream · 28/09/2017 22:23

What Emma Bridgwater codes have you got? Want to get my mum a personalised mug but so much thread to read through and find them. Tia

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 28/09/2017 22:26

HideHide B&M also had chickens that popped the balls out of their bottom. I got that one for the pass the parcel present for my DD's birthday party after channelling my inner 6 year old i wanted to keep it

MrsMoggy · 28/09/2017 22:27

Late to the party but what is flavourly and how do I get a bargain? Looking at beer in particular. Thank you!

VoldemortsNipple · 28/09/2017 22:29

@chicaguapa thanks for the minecraft game dn will be delighted.

SharkInThePark · 28/09/2017 22:35

Think I'm going to order. I saw a set of 50 on amazon reduced to £9.99 were those the ones you meant? What other games did yku use them for? I'm rubbish at thinking stuff up!!!

Does anyone have any idea s for garden play (4yr old and 1yr old) that doesn't involve massive equipment. Already got lawnmower, wheelbarrow and sand&water table. Thinking chalk board or similar. Any bargains spotted on outdoor toys? Thanks
