@schoolgaterebel that's a really useful list.

I always try to avoid thinking about Christmas until after Halloween but this is inspiring me to start putting pieces away as I come across them between now and then.

I like the idea of putting some gift cards into stockings....Costa, Primark, iTunes. If I put a little away every week from now till December, it won't feel like an effort in December.

DS's main present will be a new graphics card for his pc and a new power supply to go with it. He will also get a new keyboard and a new gaming headset and that's about it because the graphics card is very expensive. He knows he won't really get anything else but he's happy with that as he really wants what he's getting. I'm happy to spend more at xmas and on his birthday as he asks for nothing all year round so it gets sort of saved up for bigger ticket items for xmas and his birthday

Both DSs (17 and 16) want new CPUs (and probably motherboards) for their PCs this year but that will be ££££ and tiny. But it seems pointless buying other stuff.

I need to buy DS1 a dressing gown, I've never bothered before as house is warm and him and DS2 are happy to pad about in their PJs and when they had them as children they never wore them.. However, DS1 has started to sleep naked and is putting on his PJs to come down for breakfast. I think dressing gown might be the way to go - it'll also stop him doing a naked dash from the bathroom to his bedroom.

They're all getting a lump of coal each.

Hi there, I'm really struggling for ideas for my son who is 18 for christmas. He has all he needs. New phone, laptop, very nice headphones last xmas. Doesn't really have any hobbies.

Teenage boys are so hard to buy for, I'm struggling for ideas for my 16 year old - he doesn't know what he wants so asked me to think of something but he also doesn't like surprises.
