Three kids 7,5,2, stockings now done other than the magazine and the chocolate which I will buy nearer time. Yay. All have bdays within weeks of Christmas so I try to start early. Will post pics of the lists in a moment in case anyone wants ideas.

You are very organised.
Even if I was that organised, and I'm not, I find that my kids' tastes change too quickly for me to sort out Christmas presents so far ahead!

  • means not bought yet

I found a Tsum Tsum advent calendar in Costco and have bought it, but I probably the DC will have lost all interest in them by December! I couldn't rely on their interests being the same by end of December for stockings.

TealStar · 03/09/2017 15:58

Well done. You're as bonkers as me. I have already bought and wrapped all but one of my dds' presents.

(I have wrapped them in case the dds find them before Christmas Grin)

TFSRM · 03/09/2017 16:09

My 4yo told me a couple of days ago that you have to write your list early or otherwise the elves don't have long enough to make the presents. Works for me Smile

ADsBadAccent · 03/09/2017 16:11

Oo can I ask what the vintage transformer is on the 4yo list please?

singadream · 03/09/2017 16:35

The 4yo will be 5yo by Christmas hence the inconsistency!

Vintage transformer I bought on eBay. Is just a normal transformer but from the 1980s. We have some from when I was a kid he plays with at my parents' house and loves.

The inflatable guitars are from Tiger.
Collapsible beefeater form Tower of London shop as is the soldier pen I think.
Tmnt ty toy from The Entertainer.

Oh and the boy mermaid is a soft toy from tiger. Ds likes mermaids but is also v into things being boys like him (I would happily get him girl mermaids but he rejects them).

Yes I know I should say merman!

Wow that is some going. I have bought a few bits but thats it and I thought I was early! But won't you see loads of bits between now and Christmas and be tempted?

TFSRM · 03/09/2017 16:54

Oooh the boy mermaid sounds good. I may have to get one of those for DD.

randomer · 03/09/2017 16:56

Yes rush out immediately and buy a merman.

Nonibaloni · 03/09/2017 17:02

I going to have to stop opening these threads. I can't shop for Christmas yet because we're moving and shifting business' but I'm beginning to get a bit het up about it.
I have a space in the attic where the wrapped presents go, another shelf for the random emergency presents and place for wine and Christmas pudding etc. The emptiness is horrible, I feel like tiny Tim on Christmas Eve. Over dramatic but the thought of facing it in December is horrible.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/09/2017 17:11

I have the actual Stockings I bought last year Xmas Grin
Tapestry light up ones (ver' ver' nice) Xmas Wink but no clue as to what to put in them.
(My DC are teens will be 18 and 15.6)
Usually when the schools go back I pick up any random bits I think they'd like.

Must remember though to keep a note of what I buy .

singadream · 03/09/2017 17:24

D270r0 - yep, but they also have bdays so any extras can always be gifts from the toddler to them for their bday etc so it shouldn't grow too much. If I keep away from this talk board that is! fat chance

d270r0 · 03/09/2017 17:52

Haha yes thats true. Good back up plan! To be honest I have bits from last year that were not used so I should look those out first before buying more.

user1499786242 · 03/09/2017 18:01

Is this a joke???

Strangely jealous of your organisation

I need to start buying!!!

Newtothis2017 · 03/09/2017 18:32

I am finished the stockings as well😁 except for the chocolate. I even managed to get the "chip" cups yesterday 😁

singadream · 03/09/2017 18:39

What's chip cups?

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 03/09/2017 18:47

I've finished the stockings too, bar the chocolate / satsuma! I'll get them chocolate coins and a chocolate Santa, I think.

They have essentially the same things as each other, just different designs. There's only 13 months between them, so are always playing with the same stuff.

I've also wrapped everything as well. Though I'm struggling to remember who has green paper and who has red! I'm sure it'll come back to me (or DH will remember!).

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 03/09/2017 19:33

I bought a couple bits today for ds (2) at a craft fayre type thing. A little knitted stuffed bee (Dh's parents keep them and he's obsessed), some Usborne Dinosaur cards and a couple of books to join the wind up crocodile and wooden farm animals already hidden away.

Does everyone else wrap the stocking stuff? My Mother never did when I was little, I'd just have to close my eyes and stick my hand in so I haven't been wrapping it for ds.
