The candles at asda are Yankee and berry so fine for christmas - think only around £5.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/07/2017 12:34

Oops. I outed myself in that one!

Here is a photo of my tree in a playpen. 😁🎄

I love Christmas tree photos!

Last night I ordered my tickets for the Country Living Christmas Fair (Glasgow)! This will be my fourth year going and each year I manage to get something lovely for the house or a gift. It's one of my Christmas "markers"!

PopcornNRedwine · 24/07/2017 18:16

I've just bought part of my second lot of Christmas presents.

An anorak for my SIL which she will love. I just need to think of things to link it together.

VivaJen · 24/07/2017 18:41

Just ordered babysprouts birthday present. Can't believe he's nearly two!!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/07/2017 20:35

It has been DS' 3rd birthday today...he was exhausted when he got to bed! 😂

Now the kids' birthdays are out of the way, it's downhill to Christmas! 🎅 🎄 Xmas Grin

I've also scored myself a job interview today. Saw a job advertised on LinkedIn for a firm my CV was sent to a couple of years' ago so sent my CV relatively late on Friday night and was invited to interview today. It isn't until 7th, but that's not that long to wait really.

I hope that a) it's a mix of work I want to do and b) they pay enough as it's commutable by train, which is what I want. I'm dreading the driving commute waiting for me after Glasgow finishes.

Biddy, what news on your job?

SideOrderofSprouts · 24/07/2017 20:41

Good luck fluffy!

Awww Happy Birthday LittleFluffy and Good Luck with the job.

When is BabySprout 2 yo?

I have DH birthday in Oct (not a signifcant one though) then in December my DS will be 18yo Xmas Grin

So this year I need to think of lovely presents (he's happy as long as its foldy with a £ sign on it) then Christmas (ditto) but I like for him to have some proper wrapped gifts , even though they're practical or a bit daft.

BTW - qvc will have their Christmas-in-July day tomorrow. I'm at work so I'll have a quick nosey at the App.
I'll see if I can resist buying things.

SideOrderofSprouts · 24/07/2017 21:35

SoS DS2 is 2 in september, I am astounded.

FridgeCut · 24/07/2017 21:36

I might make some "trial" cinnamon rolls for his birthday along with his peppa pig cake. I may have made them twenty times but you know.. always worth trialling..

Wheelycote · 24/07/2017 21:55

Way to go Fluffy! Will be keeping everything crossed for the 7th. And get your feet up! A 3rd birthday can be hecticGrinDo you live in Scotland?

Pixie2015 · 24/07/2017 22:05

Bought my Christmas wreaths at a craft fair at weekend - feel well ahead this year 🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2017 00:27

No, in the north west. I'm on secondment up there and travel up every week. It's knackering!

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2017 00:28

Fridge, can never trail cinnamon buns too much, IMO!

Wheelycote · 25/07/2017 06:38

Morning AllSmile

That's quite a commute Fluffy!! Keeping everything crossed for your interview on 7th. I'm guessing there's less travel involved?

Pixie I've not heard about Christmas craft fairs will be like a mad lady googling any future ones in my area I bet it was fab!!!

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2017 07:48

It's definitely less travel than when I'm up in Glasgow and a touch less than when I'm at my usual office, but by train instead of the car, so I wouldn't have to think whilst commuting!

DD(4) wanted to talk about Santa / Christmas yesterday...girl after my own heart!

FridgeCut · 25/07/2017 08:45

I've just started a good housekeeping subscription so that I'll get my christmas one ASAP. And it was £6 for six issues and I can cancel at any time.

BiddyPop · 25/07/2017 08:59

Happy Rudolph Day!

Wow, all those babies are growing up fast!

I didn't get through to the next round of interviews- lots didn't. Ah well, it means I can actually get my work done before holidays and not worry about work interfering with my Christmas preparations! Xmas Grin

Speaking of which, this morning I was getting a magazine each for the plane ✈️ at the weekend, and picked up some cool sticky notes in each of our initials for stockings! I think I'll leave those under my desk until after the holidays though.

BiddyPop · 25/07/2017 09:00

Fluffy- did you name change from something that means always?

FridgeCut · 25/07/2017 09:04

Ooh it is Rudolph day! I might put the Grinch on later
