Anyone who was after the hobby craft felt Christmas tree and lives anywhere near Newcastle- the store at Silvelink has lots in. Seems to be permanently out of stock on line so I was chuffed to get one today.

I have a £5 voucher off a £30 spend at Lakeland for anyone that's interested. Expires end of Nov. Message me.

d270r0 · 27/10/2016 22:17

lazzaroo No I don't think there are any discount codes at lego but if you spend over £60 you get a free '24 in 1 christmas build'. Looking at this more closely you get 250 pieces of lego and 24 instructions for little christmassy builds, so like an advent calendar, however there aren't enough pieces to make them all in 1 go, they suggest you make one in 1st dec, then on 2nd dec dismantle it to make the next one! Which would be rubbish in my opinion. Also you do get vip points if registered which is like 5p per £1 spent.

GerrardWinstanley · 27/10/2016 22:30

mammy I ordered three mermaids tail blankets from twinkle deals. The quality seems great though maybe I should reserve judgement until after they have been washed. I got one like this for a tall just 6yo. Each blanket has a length stated so go off that. The kids blankets are really little. Delivery was 3-4 weeks

Ness1234 · 27/10/2016 23:01

Seven I've sent you the Lakeland voucher.

YouMeanYouForgotCranberriesToo · 27/10/2016 23:12

I didn't get anything much in boots either, their presents seem to be in a rut, same stuff every year, just new packaging. I got over the £50 by adding nappies, migraine tablets etc that we would buy at some point anyway.

I did get myself a benefit mini stocking with miniatures from dh though.

AdmiralCLingus · 27/10/2016 23:20

The main reason there's a lot less stuff in stores is because they've launched this ridiculous emporium idea. I've moved out of the big store I used to work in so don't know a whole lot about it other than it takes up lots of space and you can get stuff engraved? and is probably the reason we aren't getting a bonus this year

Which liz earles set were you after RJ? I can see if I can find a code for you to order it when I go in tomorrow?

RJnomore1 · 27/10/2016 23:22

Thanks Admiral I was looking for the hot cloth cleanser set at £15.50. Its not showing as available anywhere. Its on the john lewis website though...

Will need to investigate the emporium thing. Its the first time in years I haven't returned from the october night laden down.

flumposie · 27/10/2016 23:22

GerrardWinstanley thanks for the shopkins mall link. My daughter asked for it this morning.

AdmiralCLingus · 27/10/2016 23:26

In all honesty I think that since we merged with walgreens they are spending far too much money in the wrong places. In previous years I've been able to cross several people off my list when I've flicked through the catalogue and usually ended up spending a couple of hundred pounds between the various points events. This year I had zero inspiration, have had little to no interest in the Christmas stock we have out in our store, and spent nothing today at the points event. (Well I tell a lie, I spent £3 on my meal deal!) It's really frustrates me that the people in charge are coming up with "amazing ideas" to get people in to spend money, which are frankly quite shit, instead of investing more in the quality of the stuff. It all just looks a bit naff tbh

AdmiralCLingus · 27/10/2016 23:27

Hmmm I'll have a look and see what I can find out for you RJ. (Unless you've already bought!)

AdmiralCLingus · 27/10/2016 23:29

Is it this one?

AdmiralCLingus · 27/10/2016 23:33

Oh and more information about the boots emporium here for anyone interested. Only available in the larger flagship type stores though

RJnomore1 · 27/10/2016 23:52

Yes its that one, but they are doing it in a nice christmas box with a wreath picture on the front. I will probably hold off for the next points offer in the hope I can get it then and I have managed to find enough other things I want to take me over the £50. The No7 mirror is a good deal, I was considering it.

My oldest is after the ted baker lips and tips but I still have a feeling it might be a star gift one week, so waiting on that in case. I can do a mad dash on xmas eve if need be!

RJnomore1 · 27/10/2016 23:53

And I totally agree with you about this years stock, theres a few things I have an eye on but I need to think about it, Ive got loads of my shopping from there in previous years. I went at 7pm and the shop was dead too. Im sure previous years have had wine and oj and sweets and a dj for the bonus nights.

I hope they read this and take notice actually!

rogl · 27/10/2016 23:56

Sweeatpeapods the works have kinetic style sand very cheap, they have small bags for £1 (great stocking fillers) and a set for £8 (I think)

AdmiralCLingus · 27/10/2016 23:58

Oooh if you hang on a bit they're releasing a very nice rose gold version of the no7 mirror. Think its due in November sometime!

rogl · 28/10/2016 00:00

Here we go it £7 and on the 2 for £10 offer www.theworks.co.uk/p/craft-activities-for-kids/zap-super-sand-magic/9781742819846

SheStoodInTheStorm · 28/10/2016 00:00

Flumposie or Gerrard would you mind sending the Shopkins link again please? Scrolled back but couldn't see anything (on the app)

RJnomore1 · 28/10/2016 00:11

Ooh fab I will wait for that!

cookiefiend · 28/10/2016 00:17

DD has suddenly started to recognise letters so I think I will jump late on the bandwagon and order a lost my name book. Does anyone still have a referral link they want clicked through?

Thanks
