Anyone successfully got his to stop emailing? They're bombarding me with crap

Mama1980 · 23/10/2016 08:43

Glenthebattleostrich- i needed to find hatchimals too. I ordered mine from John Lewis using that stock checker, they were only in stock a short time but I did get them, the woman I collected mine from said they were expecting new stock probably a couple of lots before Christmas so you stand a good chance.
Another is to check. Your local independent toy shop mine had some in.
Incidentally they are much bigger than I thought, so if you manage to order take a big bag to collect them in!

AdmiralCLingus · 23/10/2016 08:46

I saw a "hush kitchens" van on my way home from work yesterday and muttered angrily to myself all the way home 😂

imsorryiasked · 23/10/2016 08:59

I had a Hush email this morning and there is an unsubscribe link at the very bottom. It takes you to the website and says you're unsubscribed so will wait and see if it's worked.

Wait4nothing · 23/10/2016 09:08

I've had the email after specifically asking them to remove me from their mailing list and delete my address - I've had no response. Going to draft a letter to the consumer ombudsman today

SleepFreeZone · 23/10/2016 09:13

I got a load of marketing gumpf from them too. Will follow the unsubscribe instructions and hopefully they'll quit it.

klassy · 23/10/2016 09:21

Well - much as I think they've done some bad marketing, it can take companies a few days to process unsubscribes. Sometimes they manually load lists up to things like MailChimp and have databases which just won't have been updated yet.

I've had Mumsnet emails to old usernames and old email addresses even after switching them on my profile.

It's not great but not unique to Hush!

SleepFreeZone · 23/10/2016 09:23

I can excuse all sorts but I really would like my refund.

confuugled1 · 23/10/2016 09:53

Strawberry check TK Maxx for nice leather gloves. I've had some great ones from them over the years, as has my mum (and she is very fussy most particular so that's saying something).

Changingagain · 23/10/2016 09:57

confuugled1 that sounds amazing. Unfortunately we're in a rural area and there doesn't seem to be one nearby. Really wish there was, DM would be in heaven there. We could also get rid of some bits from work in a much greener way if we had one in the area.

todayisabeautifulday · 23/10/2016 10:19

Could I ask a question about Costco please given that I have seen it mentioned many times here?
I have one near me, but never thought about it. Why do you find it useful?
I understand it's bulk buying, but is it worth the membership fee and the trip?
Thank you.

merliquin · 23/10/2016 10:20

Another Joules.com 20% off full priced & free del/returns - ROCKPOOL valid until 25 Nov. Hope useful to someone.

99percentchocolate · 23/10/2016 10:21

Quick question about the Amazon review club - I signed up with the link posted on a previous thread to get the chalk pens, but I don't know how to leave the review. None of the emails say how to and I can't find the sign up link again to check. Would quite like to leave the review because they are great and I want more cheap stuff in the future!
Can anyone help?

NorbertDentressangle · 23/10/2016 10:27

Strawberry have a look at Primark for leather gloves too.

I had some from there years ago that were great (and are still going strong). I was reluctant to spend a fortune on them as I tend to lose gloves and was pleasantly surprised.

QueenOfFuckAll · 23/10/2016 10:29

99 just leave a review on Amazon. I figured there would be an information sheet but I haven't got one either. I guess it is so we can put that we received the item with no obligation. The fact we would not get anything else sent is incentive rather than obligatory.
There was something in the original t&c about it having to be reviewed within 3 days, hence the Prime, and that we cannot put a bad review, which kinda suggests obligation. Basically we can put whatever we want. There are lots of examples to be seen with a disclaimer at the bottom about getting them cheap for an unbiased review.

happyscrappy · 23/10/2016 10:31

Flowers lostmyrubyslippers and woodwaj! 90cm teddy for £10 bought, my favourite bargain so far.. DD is going to be thrilled!

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 23/10/2016 10:43

Costco is very cheap for some things, but other stuff I get cheaper on offer in supermarkets. Toys and clothing tend to be the biggest saves, and home stuff. Anything with a price ending .97p is clearance and always ridiculously cheap compared to elsewhere. Christmas stuff is reduced to clear around early to mid November so good bargains then too

99percentchocolate · 23/10/2016 10:52

Thank you Queen! Flowers

stillwantrachelshair · 23/10/2016 10:56

I want to get MIL the L'Occitane advent calendar. Any codes around? Ideally ones I can stack so that I get a free house & car too...or just 10% off would do.
Aldi flyer in today's paper. Unicorn slippers & dressing gowns will be in stock from, I think, 3rd Nov. They have some nice wooden toys & their version of orchard toy games in store from then too.

stillwantrachelshair · 23/10/2016 10:59

Oops 27 Oct for ALDI toys

CarrotVan · 23/10/2016 11:17

Anyone seen any Playmobil blind bags or Playmobil traditional burglars (stripey top, mask, swag bag etc)? Just bought DS1 some police themed Playmobil on Amazon and want to add some bits

RoastieToastieReastie · 23/10/2016 11:27

Sorry to hear about all the hush/joules/iwoot gripes. I hope everyone checks to make sure refunds have actually been issued from hush.

Need something 'nice' for the last bit of my best friends present was going to use the hush candle not jewellry, budget only about a £5 but needs to look more if you know what I mean?

dementedma · 23/10/2016 11:46

B and M have chocolate orange for £1 and loads of nice bits for stockings

MakinaBaby · 23/10/2016 11:56

Thank you to everyone that responded to me, but I think some wires got crossed and everyone sent me the answer to a pp's question about spectacles lol.

So I'll ask again- does anyone know where to get a Christmas pudding onesie? Or other Christmas themed onesies for adults? :)
