ChristmasEve -Dd turned 13 recently. Her favourite things were her hype bag and jack wills shoulder bag. I picked up the jack wills bag for £25 from boots, complete with bits and pieces, but the bags alone are about £15 I think. She'd also love things like a phone case, smuggle stuff and clothes.

dd2 and I have been out real life shopping today, we got a free goodie bag in Smyths which made her day as she got a my little pony figurine she didn't have and despite being 12 now her first EVER tub of playdoh allowed in the house ( I like my carpets!). I think she has a christmas list a mile long now after going round all the aisles, after me worrying she didn't really want anything. There was a Smyths leaflet in our local paper which had a £6 off £25 spend voucher on the back so you may all want to look out for that, it is in store only. I need to pop back without her.

B and M was amazing too, there are so many swizzles and love hearts sets, candles, lip balms, body butters etc, some of the toys which caught dds eye in smiths next door at a lower price, hersheys mugs with kisses for £1.99 (I know we all hate american chocolate but the kids like it, they were priced at £8.99 to start with so lovely presents for classmates for a bargain)

My personal favourite was a mason jar with a lid and straw full of swizzles sweets for £2.99 which was great for a couple of hard to buy for boys.

The range also has some beautiful christmas stuff in including crafting kits. I did very well not to spend much today but I need to get back without DD and it will not be bargainsous!

After waiting since August for a refund from Joules for an overcharge on my credit card, tons of emails, unanswered phone calls and so forth, today I wrote on their Facebook page and it looks like I am going to finally get it.
Thank you to the poster who suggested that.

And yes, I have been posting here over and over just to say thank you, I promise I will come back with some actual bargains soon!

yummymummycleo · 22/10/2016 18:01

Who was it who mentioned transformers rescue centre? Can I ask where you found it? Which shop?

OutwardBound2016 · 22/10/2016 18:10

I have seen a free Uniqlo top mentioned but can't find the original post, could someone point me in the right direction please

chocolatesprouts · 22/10/2016 18:12

Thanks will check to max out

Changingagain · 22/10/2016 18:29

Thanks itsonly I think I'll keep looking then, it would have to be good for that price.

MrsBellefleur · 22/10/2016 18:49

Went real life shopping today and found some of the Disney princess clip it dolls (the little ones where the dresses clip on and off) for half price, £3.50 each. Snaffled the 3 different princesses they had for dd's stocking as I think this style is discontinued but she loves them.

Also not on offer but I thought bargainous poster paint, brushes, foam stamps, glitter all between 90p and £2.00 so stocked dd up a little painting box for Christmas.

ReallyShouldKnowBetterAtMyAge · 22/10/2016 18:53

DD wants snow leopard PJs if anyone knows where I can get them please?

Freezingwinter · 22/10/2016 18:56

The medium soft bears and unicorn toys at Asda were reduced to 10 from 15 today. Feeling very smug as I picked up the last one! They aren't reduced online though.

Matalan had a ton of unicorn stuff all on 3 for 2 today also

Asda had some other good toys in the same today

Smyths had some reduced Sylvanians families that aren't online

Also my Smyths were giving away free goody bags with play doh, a mlp blind bag and robot thingy blind bag

mammyaroundmadness · 22/10/2016 19:02

Has anyone seen any barbie bathrooms with a baths anywhere please? This is top of my daughter xmas list

RoastieToastieReastie · 22/10/2016 19:19

Gah, for so,e unknown reason my iPad is having a hissy fit today and refusing to copy and paste this evening so all posts from yesterday I haven't managed to update onto the list. I will try again tomorrow and cross fingers but all today's posts may well Miss off the next list. If there's anything special please let me know. I hope it's not on it's last legs and giving up [comfused]

Aspider do you mean for a 6 yo to read or to be read to? Dd is nearly 6 and absolutely loves horrid Henry. She also likes rainbow fairies (although I hate reading them to her, they are so dull) and Roald Dahl. She also likes books which come with a cd to listen to at the same time. I've got her the jolly Christmas postman for Christmas.

Thank you kitchen, have updated.

Ocado have opened their Christmas delivery slots, booked mine yesterday.

Callmecordelia · 22/10/2016 19:25

Found the Sainsburys delivery slots email, here it is -

"As a valued Delivery Pass customer you can enjoy a new perk: the chance to see and book Christmas Delivery slots a whole week ahead of the crowd.Christmas deliveries run up to and include23 Decemberand you can get in first to nab your ideal slot. Don't worry, you don't have to do anything yet, we'll email you again inNovemberto remind you of the dates and details."

I have a seven day pass, not a midweek one.

HungryHorace · 22/10/2016 19:31

Ooh. We must qualify then (it's DH's account, so he may have missed the email!).

What day did you get it? I need to know how to make sure I get a slot!

HungryHorace · 22/10/2016 19:32

We have an anytime pass too.

goldielookingchain · 22/10/2016 19:40

Smyths usually do a 20% off everything before chrimbo don't they? Any idea when that usually happens?

Whatdoesaturkeydo · 22/10/2016 19:45

Mrsmadevans - did you get the throw in one of the massive primarks or one of the smaller ones?

d270r0 · 22/10/2016 19:46

Debenhams has 20% off toys on orders over £25 with MR94.

I also noticed they are selling a doh vinci advent calendar for £8. I think this might be included in the offer.

digitalpaintartist · 22/10/2016 19:52

Has anyone ever known the Ideal Homes magazine to go into the cheap subscription offer like Red and Good Housekeeping?

d270r0 · 22/10/2016 19:57

Found this website which lists current cheap magazine subscriptions with a free gift. Nothing there that really tempts me but might be useful for someone!
