Great Purple!

I finally got an email about the chalk pens, but I managed to get some earlier with Winewolf's code, so want to pass on the joy

Sorry was too quick, if anyone else is using the Matalan codes its only on full price non charity items ( which mine all are ) so I have live chatted them through their fb page to try and fix the code for me now .

Zeusette · 21/10/2016 10:53

Just used your code Trin4421 Thanks Flowers

neddle · 21/10/2016 10:53

Just a word of warning about Hush's piss poor attitude to data protection as well.

I'd never ordered anything from them but somehow they'd got hold of my address and kept sending me catalogues. After the first one I contacted them and politely asked them to remove my details from
their database while pointing out I had not given them permission to mail me.

They claimed they'd got my details from a third party and they were allowed to mail to me once and after that they'd delete my details. Needless to say after that I then received another catalogue and then another one (so clearly they either lied or are incredibly incompetent) . Eventually I had to send them a request to cease processing under the data protection act (wording for this can be found online) and that seems to have done the trick as I've not had any more junk mail from them.

dancemom · 21/10/2016 11:05

Got my chalk pen code!

Now is there a way to get free delivery other than prime??

ClaraLane · 21/10/2016 11:33

Has anybody got a Next voucher code going spare please?

Also, has anyone ever done a personalised jigsaw puzzle for somebody as a Christmas present? Have found a few sites that do them but would prefer to go somewhere other people have recommended.

I'm having to sit on my hands to stop myself getting the Hotel Chocolat tasting box this year, we got the fortified one last year and it was amazing Grin

wowwee123 · 21/10/2016 11:37

SomethingOfTheNight · 21/10/2016 11:37

Still nothing from Hush here either.

But on a positive note, I've only recently got round to actually opening an order from Campus Gifts, that I placed in September Blush. I had small issue with one item and their customer service was first rate I hope you are reading this Hush

SleepFreeZone · 21/10/2016 11:56

Still same here. No Hush order, no refund, money definitely taken 😁

AdmiralData · 21/10/2016 12:10

AdmiralData · 21/10/2016 12:12

Ooh bonus. 10% off your next online order over £10.00. Use code:WKS10.

All the codes have been on paper which has been made distributed so there shouldnt be a Hush type problem :)

neddle · 21/10/2016 12:17

I went to a coding/gaming festival at the weekend, organised by the local uni.
They had some pretty good robots and coding toys that I liked and I've had a look online for.

Robots they demoed:
Code a Pillar absolutely loved this and I got it for my 4 and 2yos. Very easy to take apart and join together. Not too loud and even the older children there loved playing with it.
Coder MIP My eldest ds got the first version when he was 9 and it was pretty good then. This one is now programmable and is a good intro to coding.
Coji Just saw an advert on tv for this too. £10 off and on preorder.

Other things there that we had a go at:
Stikbot Studio Needs a phone/ipod touch to work with, but great for stop motion animation. My 8yo got a bit bored with it there, but I think with a thought out storyboard he could get into it.
Simbrix If you can tolerate small things strewn round the house (I can't!) these are like hama beads, but shaped like jigsaw pieces (with inny and outy sides) and join together without heat/water and they come apart again. 2d only.
Bloxels My 8yo liked these blocks that you fit together in the board and then photo into an app for games. Looks very expensive, although you do get a huge box with lots of blocks. Might be available elsewhere cheaper.
Bee Bots loved these, but I spotted some in my 4yo's class this week, so they might be priced more at schools. Good for logical thinking though.

I think the festival is annual and it's at the Bournemouth International Centre, run by B'mth Uni. Well worth going to if you're near as it was free and they had some seminars and loads of old consoles and computers to play with as well (where my 14yo spent most of the day!)

TobleroneBoo · 21/10/2016 12:24

Keep an eye on your emails, I got an App-iversay from Matalan saying it had been so many years since i downloaded the app, and its for 20% off £30 spend

1122christy · 21/10/2016 12:45

This is more suited for people who live in Glasgow but Sainsbury's in braehead and full stock of Halloween shopkins.

Also I just received an email from Claire's Accessories saying 25% off my next purchase. I won't use this, unsure if a unique one off code but il post it for first person who needs it - CLAIRESMISSESYOU25

1122christy · 21/10/2016 12:46

Oh also Yellow Moon has 15% off everything, ends midnight tonight.
Code Y643E

DubiousCredentials · 21/10/2016 12:49

Not that amazing but FRIDAY15 gives free delivery with £15+ spend at The Book People. It's normally free over £25.

insan1tyscartching · 21/10/2016 12:57

25% off at Claire's accessories with the code CLAIRESMISSESYOU25 valid for a week.

Has anyone got any gift ideas for a boy age 11 who is batman mad?

RoastieToastieReastie · 21/10/2016 13:34

A moan about I want oNe of those. I am never ever going to buy anything from them again. I mentioned several threads ago I had issues and their customer services. I wrote to the CEO which did give me finally a personal response answering my question. They asked me to return the goods special delivery and legally they should cover the postage cost for this as it's not my fault the goods are faulty. I spent £7 something posting it to them. I sent a photo of the receipt as they requested in order for them to process it for a refund. They have received the item and yet In the nearly two weeks since posting then the item I've had no replacements or refund on postage. I'm just getting so bored with this now. Who would have thought getting a replacement for a faulty item would take so much time. Never again.

Pengweng · 21/10/2016 13:52

I ordered the hotel chocolate tasting box 2 weeks ago and haven't had any thing from them yet. I'm getting annoyed as have emailed them twice about it now.

I also can not find anywhere on the website or in account details where i can cancel the membership. Getting grumpy about it now.

stillwantrachelshair · 21/10/2016 13:59

I've had emails today about 20% off at Karen Millen & Ted Baker. I don't tend to shop in either of those places as I no longer have the money or the figure glares at DC but some of you might. I think that, for the Karen Millen one, you may have to buy The Stylist magazine.
I don't think the M&S 20% off applies to school uniform. It rarely does & I stocked up on bits and the 20% only came off everything else.
