Anyone know what's in our Red goody bags yet? I've had an email to say the first edition is on its way but no mention of the goody bag.

Gooseysgirl · 03/10/2016 23:09

My first red mag arrived a few days ago, I think the goody bag is supposed to appear within 28 days..

Ha! She'd kill me if I got that!

I think we've narrowed it down to a lion or a tiger....

@frankie

Ive ordered a set of PJ Masks dress up - masks and capes from Ali Express £10 for all 3 characters. Not arrived yet but I'll let you know quality once they do. Couldn't find anything over here either.

For those looking for advent calendars, there is a Paw Patrol one, £11.30 on Amazon. Not sure what the 'surprise gifts' are, but might help someone.

SheldonCRules · 04/10/2016 07:25

Pantha, lots of those panda bears in both of my HB stores too. Not sure how heavy they are to post if yours doesn't get stock.

pantherfootballforever · 04/10/2016 07:53

Thanks Sheldon - I have my mum on the hunt at her local stores (3 near to her).

ASOS has 50% off sale, plus free delivery here

Claire's has BOGOF on everything on their site.

Joules have a sale on, including Wellies from £19.99.

Thorntons Fireside favourites half price at £6, or included in the 5 for £20 offer with code fvtw. Probably short dated, but might work for a pre-Christmas birthday or those of us who never manage to keep our chocolates until Christmas anyway Grin

CoshPunt · 04/10/2016 09:05

Picked up the fireside favourites about a month ago, all of them in store were in date until about Feb next year. Grin

Chocolateteabag · 04/10/2016 09:29

Snooky - thanks for the Paw Patrol Advent calendar tip - bought it last night but then promptly fell asleep on my phone and had a panic this morning in case I had dreamt it/not actually clicked "order"

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 04/10/2016 10:47

To whoever linked me to the Disney store 20% off, you are AMAZING! Basket was over £250!!

Matilda2013 · 04/10/2016 10:59

So my dsd (5 and a half) has decided she likes Barbie this year. Can anyone tell me if this house Barbie complete homeset is worth the money? And do the kids like it?

MooseyMoo · 04/10/2016 11:01

Girlwithayellowhat I saw a Curious George Halloween DVD in Sainsburys for £3.

Sorry, I can't remember the poster's name but I saw a Zuru Hamster in The Entertainer today & said 'Aha!' very loudly

I popped into M&S and bought these seasonal beers/ales for DH. They were 3 for £6 or £2.50 each.

Matilda I got that set from Argos, it was £49.99 but in the 3 for 2 deal too so even better value.
The box is HUGE!

ipswichwitch · 04/10/2016 11:21

Frankie etsy also do PJ Masks outfits. I believe the toys are going to hit the shops sometime before Christmas, or so my googling efforts say! I hope so, my two are bloody mad on it!

Matilda2013 · 04/10/2016 11:27

Oh so it stayed £49.99 in the 3 for 2? I don't know whether to get it now or wait for the next round of 3 for 2 and hope I know what I'm getting Confused

pantherfootballforever · 04/10/2016 11:30

So my mum managed to get the panda in her local HB store - but it was £40, not £30 Sad Perhaps English stores get even better deals than NI ones! Envy

Good to see that there's finally a Match Attax advent calendar. I might have harangued spoken to a MA person at length last year at one of their shows - they pulled ds in to try a new game and do some market research, I was saying that they were missing a real trick by not doing advent calendars because the market for them seems to have boomed in the last few years, particularly in the 'lego' advent calendar market rather than the chocolate one - that there are loads of them out there now priced £20ish and then discounted, that lots of kids have the toy ones when they're tiny, then get onto the lego ones but want something after that and that I'd been making DIY MA ones for a couple of years that had gone down really well... So I shall smile smugly when I see them (I'm sure that they did lots of other market research and it wasn't just me but hopefully my rant discussion would have played a teeny tiny part in their making them.

And if you do have dc that love match attax or other card type games, there are lots of events they run at shopping centres and big toy shops and supermarkets throughout October - the one in Milton Keynes is during half term for example, in previous years they've had lots of different cards they sell there (Frozen, Star wars, Dr Who etc), they often sell cards and associated gubbins cheaply plus have giveaways and freebies, and they've usually had the football freestyler world champion there giving displays and showing people how to do tricks.
