AmyMN You know yow you said to mention if we thought of companies that we'd like discounts from...

Having spotted the Beano competition that you have running at the moment, any chance of getting a nice MN subscription offer for the Beano?!?
DS2 is mad for the Beano (and the doorbell has just rung with a delivery of some Beano sale goodies that somebody on an earlier thread pointed out for me, which is what has reminded me to ask!).

I know they have them in the comic most weeks but I've not managed to do it yet whereas I have managed to order a fair bit off these christmas threads.

And as an aside, can I just say that ds2 is going to love the fart post it notes Xmas Grin. Perfect for an 8 yr old Dennis the Menace fan but I suspect that DS1 and DH will be most envious. Reckon that they could come in handy for secret Santa presents or to raise a chuckle in plenty of offices too!

LostMyRubySlippers · 19/09/2016 12:36

leccy agree with others about the apostrophe going after the s although not quite been brave enough to order mine yet

Don't think there are any codes but I'm getting a few so p&p doesn't seem too bad that way

I am planning to make some personalised mugs with a snowman face on that I saw on Pinterest- will try to find link

Wenchelda · 19/09/2016 12:38

Heavenscent86 this is the ENORMOUS UNICORN .... Go on, you know you want one Wink

LostMyRubySlippers · 19/09/2016 12:40

Snowman mugs

Heavenscent86 · 19/09/2016 12:50

Ooh thank you. That unicorn is pretty amazing.

HavingAnOffDAy · 19/09/2016 12:53

Place marking...these threads are moving at quite a pace now.

I'm still stumped for DD who will be 10 in January

WuTangFlan · 19/09/2016 12:57

Giant inflatable unicorn - you can deflate it if space is an issue??

Flamingo version if anyone's still after flamingos...

RJnomore1 · 19/09/2016 12:57

Amy is there any possibility of a discount for the Country Living Christmas Fair at the SECC in Glasgow?

I went last year and it was great. I'm sure I got a 2-for-1 on tickets but I can't find any this year.

RoastieToastieReastie · 19/09/2016 12:59

Hmph, just went to book grotto ticket at harrods for DD which went on sale this morning and they've all gone already :( will have to try harder next time.

If it could appear over christmas eve night, it would be like a magic window had opened up for Robert and his friends to visit...

Hilarious - a portal now!! Grin Grin

I have not been banned yet I am in happy limbo Smile

BIL that is rude about him (mostly I suspect because dsis and her dc would love to have one and he woukd take great pleasure in stopping that from happening)

Ah perfect idea for dsis dc xmas present then Wink he cant stop a fait accompli.

SomethingOfTheNight · 19/09/2016 13:03

Could anyone do a link please to the Beano sale stuff fart post it notes, that confuugled just mentioned.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 19/09/2016 13:17

Does anyone know about magazine subscriptions? If I wanted to buy as Xmas present would I have to wait until Dec to do it or can you pick a start date? I'm looking to buy one of the foodie ones, probably good food or delicious so if anyone sees any offers please shout.

confuugled1 · 19/09/2016 13:18

Something
Front page of the Beano Shop

school pack with fart post it notes, pencil case and note book £9.50 which is how I bought them (even on sale they're not hugely bargainous but ds2 asks for so little in comparison to ds1 that it's lovely to buy him a surprise that I know he will be so thrilled with)

Sorry, looks like they've not got any of the fart post it notes individually any more...

WreckTangled · 19/09/2016 13:28

Reastie I'm signed up to harrods rewards so got priority booking from Friday. Obviously those who spend money their get them even earlier. All that was left was a few dates the beginning of November so that's when we're going Hmm

Nzou1050 · 19/09/2016 13:29

Has anyone received a hotel chocolat tasting club box yet? Just wondering what the date is like on them. Also has anyone managed to get two to the same address? Was thinking of signing DH up too so I can order two different selections if it'll let me.

neddle · 19/09/2016 13:35

Something
Don't know if these are the ones confuugled has, but these are on Amazon.

RoastieToastieReastie · 19/09/2016 13:41

Wreck I gave their reward card too and tried getting them yesterday but it wouldn't let me

Atleast what magazine is it you're looking at?

A lot of them allow you to pick the start date up to a couple of months into the future - eg the kids' National Geographic you could start at the latest in January 2017 when I looked a couple of weeks ago, and the Radio Times which I've looked at previously you could forward-date quite a few editions.

neddle · 19/09/2016 13:45

Peppa Pig stickers £1-40 (or £1-69 as an add-on if you need it.)

Play Doh advent calendar only £10-99 but reserved for Prime members.

arthurbaby · 19/09/2016 13:50

Argos have fireman Sam slippers for £1.79 in the clearance section.
Also Asda have £10 off a £50 spend or £20 off £100 I just bought the big blue dolls house, large furniture set and wooden dolls highchair for £85

RoastieToastieReastie · 19/09/2016 13:55

RJ please would you let me know if Robert fits in the washing machine? Purchase dependant on this!

Evelyn I'd email asda to let them know as chances are they will tell you to keep them. That has happened to me in the past and I've contacted the store and they've told me to keep the extra one with their compliments (think I got a 'thank you for being so lovely and honest' remark which made me warm and fuzzy). I can't see they'd make you drive that far to return it so if they wanted it back that much they could send you a postage return label to return. I'm sure most people would just keep though.

Went to sainsburys this morning and no 20% off clothing

Icklepickle what are you going to stuff that whopper with?! (Reading that back it sounds so dirty! It really isn't. Teddy bear, I mean the giant teddy bear).

Thanks Amy,mumsnet. Speaking of pie face, has anyone got it? Is it worth it? I think it may be one of those things that gets played with twice and then hidden at the back of the cupboard.

RoastieToastieReastie · 19/09/2016 13:57

Speaking of the beano, has anyone actually seen a copy of the beano in the shops? DD has been loving reading dhs old beanos and we've looked all over for a new magazine and can't find them. I know you can subscribe to it but we just want one to see how different it is, not a regular commitment. I've looked in new agents, wh smiths, sainsburys, tescos, all to no avail.

SomethingOfTheNight · 19/09/2016 13:59

Thanks confuugled. I really struggle to find stocking fillers for my ds. Whereas my airing cupboard is bursting with stuff for my twin girls. Thank you, and neddle too. Smile

TragicallyUnbeyachted · 19/09/2016 14:00

We bought a Beano in one of the supermarkets a few weeks ago -- I don't remember which one but it was probably the really big Sainsburys I go to occasionally (I know they don't have it in the small or the fairly big Sainsburys).

SestraClone · 19/09/2016 14:03

confuugled, I have seen Beano subscriptions come up cheap on www.itison.com quite often
