For all those with unicorn loving dc - how about a unicorn themed decal to stick in their room - there's everything from beautifully painted scenes through a window to outlines of unicorns to some that incorporate names and more. Needs a bit of time to sit and scroll through the different options but there's everything from a couple of pounds up to thirty pounds or more for a big one. If it could appear over christmas eve night, it would be like a magic window had opened up for Robert and his friends to visit...

(Or for those of us with ds that aren't into unicorns proper or who like a touch of reality, maybe this little car sticker would be better for less than £2). Xmas Grin

leccybill my 10yr old dd always steals my hot choc mug (it has a sweater on) @ Amazon

Ilikesweetpeas · 19/09/2016 01:44

leckybill Home Bargain have mugs with red sweaters on for £1. My DD has one for her hot chocolate

SweetPeaPods · 19/09/2016 05:56

FireflyGirl · 19/09/2016 06:15

leccybill I would put the apostrophe at the end,
Eg Christmas at the Browns'

You could always double check over in pedants corner, though.

FireflyGirl · 19/09/2016 06:18

*Pedants' corner, before anyone else gets in there. DS has had me up since 5.30, and I was auto-corrected Grin

Oooh cookie I LOVE those tartan pyjamas. Pricey yes but they are perfect!

I'd ordered some from M&S for a similar price but they don't do in between sizes (only 1-2, 3-4 etc) so I'm expecting them to be too big when they arrive.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/09/2016 06:50

Sorry no bargains but I'm banned from buying a unicorn. Sad

Skala123 · 19/09/2016 06:53

Has anyone seen any good deals on kids onesies? Avengers loving DS and animal loving DD

OhHolyFuck · 19/09/2016 07:00

Those Jojo mamas Bebe pjs are gorgeous and exactly what I'm after but only go up to a 5-6 which would be too small for ds1 (needs a 7 really) and I wanted to get them matching ones.... D'you think other places will start doing tartan as more christmas stock comes in?

TryingtobePrepared · 19/09/2016 07:15

Naydia book is based on traditional tales so it depends on your 9 year old, ie gingerbread man then slightly tweaked recipe, jack and the beanstalk beanburgers. It is beautiful to look at though and the cooking isn't too simple. Sainsburys had a stack if you want to have a flick through.

Cookie will change settings thanks for the tip I'd never remember on day 29! 💐

Reastie thanks 💐

Ziggy, last year the works sold ationary calendars that look very similar to the smiggle ones, almost the same contents but at £10 rather than £25. They aren't selling them yet but fingers crossed will bring them out again in the next few months.
(Note: Link says £5 but that was when they were reduced after Christmas)

scribblicious advent calendar at the works

rosegoldie · 19/09/2016 07:19

Thanks for new thread - place marking!

Chocolateteabag · 19/09/2016 07:23

It was way back on Thread 1 or 2 that I put my Emma Bridgewater referral code up for free polka mugs - just coming back on that to say 33 people got mugs so I have 33 £15 off £75 spends Confused
They are all off full price orders and not stackable so I will never use them as need more of a bargain but if any one else would use one please pm me!

Badders123 · 19/09/2016 07:25

Skala...primark have lovely avengers onesies

AbyssinianBanana · 19/09/2016 07:29

Mayor, Polarn do merino wool thermal layers that we use as pj... They're not cheap but they do last for ages and they dry within an hour on the radiator. You should get two years of wear as the size is quite generous and the sleeves are designed/sewed to look nice when you roll them up (when arms are a bit too long). If you sign up, you can get vouchers of £5 off £25, and up now. They do go on sale at half price in January but they sell out really fast. polarn

icklekid · 19/09/2016 07:37

John lewis normally do tartan pj's- have got for my ds for Christmas last couple of years. Probably around same kind of price!

SolomanDaisy · 19/09/2016 07:45

Re pyjamas, I found it v irritating when M and S changed their sizing system! But I've found they're not that big. I usually get size 6-7 stuff for my v tall 5 year old, so tried the size 7-8 and it seemed about the same as a 6-7. I ordered the red and white check pyjamas, which are a lot more tartan-y in real life.

Primark do really nice tartan pyjamas for xmas, which I think they'll have in soon. They've already got some of their flannel ones in, with stars on. They go up to size 6-7.

BaBaBaBoomBoom · 19/09/2016 07:45

FullOfRage · 19/09/2016 07:49

DH didn't know about the Argos ones though!

IrrelevantSquirrel · 19/09/2016 07:50

Not particularly Christmassy but La Redoute has 40% off everything including brands and sale items with code BIG40

AdmiralCLingus · 19/09/2016 07:53

I've also been banned from buying the huge unicorn 🙁

leccybill · 19/09/2016 07:56

Thanks for the hot choc mug suggestions, all. I love those Whittard spoons and a nice mug to go with should do it.
