Is the Hotel Chocolat subscription decent value beyond the sign up offer? Does anyone get it regularly?

If I wanted to get it every two months, is that possible?

I might do it for the sign up offer (for an xmas gift), but would find it very difficult to cancel chocolate coming to the house. :o

I can't remember who asked about the personalised chair from studio, but my average sized dd got it for her first birthday, her legs dangled then. Quality is fine for the price. Not sure when her feet could touch the ground. She's now 7 and it sits in her bedroom with a teddy on it, she still perches on it sometimes hoarder like me Grin

Snooky17 · 20/09/2016 12:28

I got the Hotel Chocolat every 12 weeks, whilst it's nice I'm not sure it's worth the £22.95 tbh but it's down to individual taste I guess

Someone mentioned an old book on animals and their tracks etc ( think it was on an old thread) but I can't for the life of me remember the book title or the author! Can anyone help me out please?

My favourite eco cosmetics brand is having a 40% off today only:
bit.ly/2d1TNzb

Free delivery on orders over €45 and free gift for orders over €70. While they are not widely known, their products have been recommended by Vogue, Goop etc. Thought maybe this could be a nice option for a Christmas gift.
Their customer service is amazing, I placed an order this morning and chose wrong country from the list, emailed them and 20 minutes later they confirmed it was sorted.

John Lewis are price matching Debenhams & they have a full range of colours in the Bobbi Brown blusher dd wants.

Little magic a bargain present that was a huge hit for DS last year was a box filled with dressing up hats and sunglasses. Hats from wilkos were really cheap then I got a few from Amazon. Got some glasses fro primark. He still adores it and it cost about £15

Theonlyoneiknow · 20/09/2016 13:07

Does anyone know how the Argos unicorn compares in size to the ToysRUs one? My sleep deprived brain can't compute the size differences -mwah!!!

Strawberryfield12 · 20/09/2016 13:07

wheat its usually around November time, at least in my case.

squissy · 20/09/2016 13:11

Late arrival here but wanted to say thank you for the Brand Attic code. I had a lovely real leather skirt arrive today for £27.50!

I seem to remember people were looking at the ELC shopping till; I saw this in Wilko today which is very similar for £10. Till

They also had those wooden and plastic toys that are stuck together with velcro, similar to Melissa & Doug toys: Cake and birthday cake and Pizza

Dancing Groot Aliexpress have a number of these toys ranging from £7 to £27.

Pepperpot81 · 20/09/2016 13:54

De-lurking to say you are all wonderful but you're costing me a fortune Wink

I have been following the last three threads and am well on the way with presents now. (No unicorn here though!)

My two pennies worth - or 20% off - is at a website I've used loads for bloke/boy presents called Arcane. It sells movie t-shirts, hats, bags, signs etc for real film buffs who know their stuff. I don't even recognise half the films but DH loves the stuff!
They are arcanestore.com. They've just relaunched their website and you can use film20 to get 20% off.

Thanks again for all the tips!

RJnomore1 · 20/09/2016 13:54

Just spotted 50% off quite a bit of yves san Laurent makeup at Debenhams including this down from £60 to £30 - if you go to all makeup you can order it by best discount

RJ You have won this thread! I really laughed at Robert peeking out of the washing machine!

bleedingheart · 20/09/2016 14:01

For any stationery addicts buying for tweens, I recommend typing kawaii school supplies into the search bar on www.aliexpress.com and swooning.

I spent days hours looking at this stuff, and have filled a good-sized box with gifts for a stationery mad 9 year old for less than £10! Would be a good source of presents for stockings and homemade advent calendars too.

FeelingSmurfy · 20/09/2016 14:05

toasty I really like hotel chocolat, and I find that even people who could eat a box of normal chocolates in one sitting looks at my dad only eat 2 or 3 at a time, so it can work out good value that way. I could never pay £23 for a box of chocolate though. You would be better ordering a few boxes in one order for £6.95 and spreading them out

I can't believe we are on thread 7, I have found myself doing numerous posts in a row on this one though Blush sorry, it's moving so fast and if I don't post before reading the rest I forget and/or lose the name of person I'm replying to. I am trying not to though! Sorry Blush

Mummyshortlegz · 20/09/2016 14:06

I ordered matching pyjamas for my kids from Ali express. If you want to order I would do it in the next few weeks due to lead time. Read the reviews and go for it.

What size is your washing machine rj?
Wondering if it would fit in my 9kg washer?

Wenchelda · 20/09/2016 14:07

Theonlyoneiknow according to the sizes online, it seems the toys r us unicorn is about a foot longer than the Argos one. Plus fatter too, I guess, to make it in proportion.

ShoppingBasket · 20/09/2016 14:08

Just bought this Pokemon watch that projects out 20 of the characters for £2.10, hopefully it's a good stocking filler!
