Baker Ross (craft/small toys) code for £5 off a £25 spend by 31st dec. not sure if it works multiple times or if it is a one off; XPC16K

RubyFlint · 19/09/2016 21:58

MrsCammy that's actually really good isn't it, too late for me though sadly. I've just this minute bought the lego city one. Off to bed now, contemplating how much money I could have saved at wilco...

Donthate · 19/09/2016 22:02

My shark and mermaid blankets arrived today from twinkle deals. I only ordered around a week ago. Really impressed.

Hallors90 · 19/09/2016 22:02

Thank you for the wilkos Lego advent calendar link. Now I just need to find one suitable for a 4 year old girl, if anybody spots anything...

neddle · 19/09/2016 22:05

Just saw these on Pinterest. Thought they might be funny and accurate in some cases Xmas Grin

Darkswan , I would probably try posting in Potty training or possibly Sleep -- it sort of crosses over both topics so you'd probably get good advice on either.

(worth trying putting the nappy on backwards and gaffer taping over the fastenings)

liquidrevolution · 19/09/2016 22:07

darkswan duck tape now comes in cute prints and no so easy to remive from nappy. Have actually bought some kitten print tape for my dad as a fun tree present. He is obsessed with the stuff. Failing that zing had a thread in aibu last week where she sellotaped a nappy on. Lots of good hints on there.

Back to bargain hunting...

GinThief · 19/09/2016 22:10

Thank you for the wilko lego calendar, wasn't willing to pay £20 for DP!

WhyHasAllTheRumGone · 19/09/2016 22:19

I've just decided that I can't live without a Christmas planner. Can anybody recommend one?

ninjaturtlesmum · 19/09/2016 22:22

Could i ask how the hotel chocolat box gets to 6.95, checking on the website it says 9.95. Have I missed a discount code? Thanks

moonbabyandthebeast · 19/09/2016 22:27

Splat game (cheap version of pie face) was £5.99 in home bargains today. Also idea for 4yr old advent - I've ordered a cheap bundle of shopkins from eBay and planning to put one in each refillable advent calendar slot for DD.

Darkswan · 19/09/2016 22:29

Thanks everyone. Duck tape seems to be the best solution. Now, to find some pretty and bargainous duck tape...

stealthsquiggle · 19/09/2016 22:29

Thanks for that, luckiestgirl.

Trouble is, I was hoping to keep it roughly the same budget as, say, a Lego calendar. Any of those things end up at a lot more Sad

Might have to be edibles. Not money, though - that doesn't feel right somehow.

RubyFlint · 19/09/2016 22:39

stealth how about buying a where's wally (or where's wookie) jigsaw puzzle and putting a few bits in each window, or some other jigsaw which would be funny when put together.

Chocolateteabag · 19/09/2016 22:41

Likeswan - with tractors you do get what you pay for IMO - the cheapest plastic ones tend to break v easily, whereas if you can find a metal one the do last.
Having said that - Siku Bruder and Britain are all good makes of model tractors and farm sets - ds1&2 have played hard with theirs for 2-3 years and mostly all still intact

RubyFlint · 19/09/2016 22:42

Or a Lego toy which you make at the end with all the pieces and the building instructions on Christmas Eve.

RubyFlint · 19/09/2016 22:42

^^ stealth

BoaConstrictor · 19/09/2016 22:44

There are some Bunchems with about 50% off on Amazon at the moment.
Motion sand (a knock off brand of kinetic sand but still v good) is heavily discounted too although you have to pay for postage.

Batbear · 19/09/2016 22:49

donthate Where was your mermaid blanket from? I think my niece would love one! or a unicorn

itsonlysubterfuge · 19/09/2016 22:52

If I remember correctly, the Lego Advent Calendar is in Costco and is only £13-16 I can't remember exactly. Maybe someone else can double check, or I will when I go in next time.

leccybill · 19/09/2016 22:58

Ooh I might nip to Costco tomorrow in that case!

BoaConstrictor we've got that Asda £18 CD player. It's been great except DD snapped the aerial off (picked it up by the aerial Angry) so the radio no longer works.

flumposie · 19/09/2016 23:07

Moonbaby I like your idea of a shopkins bundle for an advent calendar ☺

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 19/09/2016 23:15

Likesilver we are tractor mad in this house and I would say the best are the Bruder and the playmobil. Wow have an amazing combine too.
Been real life shopping today Shock and saw a fab enormous crocodile duvet but it was £40. Have just found it for £18. £5 delivery but still a bargain. Have posted a link as they have Emma bridge water sets and other Dahl sets
duvet covers and cushions

Went to m&s for their 20% off and they had some gorgeous light up Christmas letters but lots of the letters had sold out. I was going to buy online as would have got 3 for 2 and 20% off but they weren't online at all. So confused Confused anyone shed any light (up letters) on the matter?

ninjaturtlesmum · 19/09/2016 23:16

Just popping my Emma Bridgewater referral code here. Gets you a free polka dot mug on a £30 spend and me £15 off a £75 spend. Just on the off chance that there is anyone who wants one (got my eye on the pink hearts range to replace my current chipped plates)!!

cookiefiend · 19/09/2016 23:21

£6.95 hotel chocolate hotel chocolate I opened it, then opened QUIDCO and clicked through QUIDCO. When I opened the tasting club again it still said £6.95 so he fully it will track. Even if not £7 for hot chocolate and a nice box of chocolates for my dad is not bad. As long as I remember to cancel...
