Rubbish title but I'm off to bed in a min (it's been one of those days).

As usual links are on post two.

If I've missed anything good (which could be very likely as I'm getting back to work mode atm) let me know.

Did I see people in favour of the 221b Baker Street game on here or imagine it?! I'm thinking of getting it for my Grandad but have never heard of it. He likes puzzles but now lives in retirement housing where they have an actual puzzle library Grin so need new ideas.

Nursenat100 · 14/09/2016 13:48

Wow this moves so quickly!

Thanks for the poster who suggested sports direct for heely type things...job done!

Is there a link for the baby a navel? Can only find the version 9 at that price!

FeelingSmurfy · 14/09/2016 13:50

Yes I posted 221b Baker Street game, I bought it but it's for Christmas, somebody bought it and ended up playing it instead of keeping it and said it was really good. It was under £7 so keep an eye out on Amazon for a similar price

verytiredmummy1 · 14/09/2016 13:51

Does anyone know where I can get cheap build a bear clothes? Xx

confuugled1 · 14/09/2016 13:52

PolkaDot Yes there was a post on an earlier thread about a fever tree gift set with 4 different gins in.

Seem to remember that somebody else posted that they had seen the same set in their Sainsburys for the same sort of price as the reduced amazon price and that it was one of the sets that their sainsburys kept in stock throughout the year. Think I've seen one there in the past.

It was something like the amazon full price was £24, they had it on offer at half price and the normal Sainsburys price was about £12-14 - so whilst it might have been a couple of pounds more expensive it wasn't anywhere near the full price that amazon were quoting.

Just had a look online - think it might be called a tasting set rather than a gift set - still out of stock on Amazon though.
Did spot this site selling it though (for £18) - on google so can't claim to personally know it - a whole site dedicated to all things gin!

They even have gin and tonic lip balm!!!

confuugled1 · 14/09/2016 13:53

oops. too slow off the mark on the gin tasting set!

EmGee · 14/09/2016 14:02

verytiredmummy there was thread recently (in the Christmas forum) about how much one was likely to spend in BaB. Lots of posters suggested buying clothes in lots on ebay. Also the outlet stores often do reduced outfits. It was also advised to avoid roller-skates as you need to buy 2 x set of pairs IIRC!

JesusDontWantMeForASunbeam · 14/09/2016 14:06

Try AliExpress for build a bear clothes. I know they do the Bears.

Also if anyone is buying design a friend dolls from
Argos the American girl clothes on Ali fit these perfectly.

WhyHasAllTheRumGone · 14/09/2016 14:08

I am really stuck on a couple of presents if anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.
A little girl who will be 9months at Christmas. She has an older sister so they already have plenty toys and clothes. Trying to think of something different or even a toy that has been a favourite would be fine. Budget around £10/15

A little girl who will be around 18months at Christmas. No siblings but she has more clothes and toys than she knows what to do with. Budget flexible.

I have given my grandparents vouchers in the past for our local award winning butchers who deliver straight to the door. Also for another local company that delivers homemade meals. Couple of ideas if anyone is looking for ideas.

voyage · 14/09/2016 14:23

We've had the 221b game for years (in fact we have 2 as dh and both had one when we got together).
It's a sort of more involved version of cluedo. You have to read a paragraph long clue at different locations and solve the mystery.
Haven't played it for a while as only my eldest is old enough to be able to play it.

OvO · 14/09/2016 14:25

I'm assuming it was on here someone posted about minecraft figures in B&W for £1.99, thank you, bought a pile of them!

Can't remember who was after Heelys but these combine them with the light up shoes

FireflyGirl · 14/09/2016 14:43

needyou is the 18 month old family? Or can you get pictures of her family?

DS will be 21 months and I used one of the codes from here on Photobox and did him a soft (ie material and fully washable) photo album of his parents/aunts and uncles/grandparents. It wasn't cheap, over £25 including postage even with the code, but it's a nice gift rather than just clothes/toys.

For the 9 month old, how about books? I have always given books to my friends' children and they've always been gratefully received. The Works have some nice ones in, and Book People usually do as well, you could get a few with that budget. Think there was an offer on the Julia Donaldson ones recently mentioned on here.
