Report When Christmas Stock Comes In

We had a thread like this last year and I thought it was a good idea.

I don't mean the usual items that you can get all year round but to post when shops get their main christmas stock in.

I've noticed John Lewis has started having a few christmas bits online, but nothing is actually in stock yet.

Any posters in Essex:

Tesco at Pitsea
Tesco at Basildon Mayflower
Tesco at Roneo Corner
and apparently Tesco at Lakeside

all have a smattering of Christmas chocs etc. I already had a Malteaser Reindeer as a result. Large tubs of chocs also available.

I did visit M&S at the Mayflower and there was no Christmas stock but I overheard the staff being given a tour of where Christmas items will go so its definitely on its way!

Ooh if Tesco Roneo Corner and Tesco Lakeside are in then................Tesco Gallows Corner should too Grin

'cos it's the bestest one in Essex even if I have to navigate the Gallows Corner roundabout to get there...........................

Home Bargains are starting their seasonal aisle. They'd only managed to put out chocs/jelly babies and some wrapping paper when I was in this morning but sure more would follow.

Had to go the the ghastly Range yesterday and they had a huge empty section where I presume will be full of Christmas stuff.
Until I saw this thread, I hoped they were closing down!

(The reason I hate it is because I can never just leave with what I came for, always end up with a tonne of things I didn't realise I needed. And don't get me started on going there with the kids Hmm )

And 70 if you go to Gallows Corner, is there any chance you go to Asda in the old Liberty centre?

I always find their christmas bits really good. Last year I got the nicest wrapping paper with a vintage deer print on it. Am hoping to get something similar this year.

Two different tescos near to me have had Xmas stuff (confectionary, gift suggestions) out for a couple weeks now.

Ah, Fierce , DH goes to Asda quite often (he changes buses in Romford town centre) I'll need to ask him what's in (he hasn't mentioned but he probably hasn't noticed Grin )

Tesco Gallows Corner is petrol, glass recycle, clothes recycle, have a nosey at the F&F clothes and buy beer for DH alongside shopping (so Christmas nicities would fit in there somewhere Xmas Wink )

Haven't seen this mentioned before so apologies if it has, but my local Asda had their Christmas toys in yesterday - the ??45 kitchen, the dolls house, and the little wooden ride on amongst others. The kitchen in particular usually flies off the shelf and is great for the price (we have it) so worth keeping an eye on if anyone is interested.

All three local Tesco Extras have Christmas sections - the main one in the seasonal aisle with chocolates etc in and a smaller one in the cake aisle with mince pies, panettone etc in. The small panettones are currently ??2 each - or 2 for ??2!

M&S have Christmas cakes and shortbread tins in and the ??1 shop has decs and cards in [excited emoticon]

Ach I saw one of the aisles in Sainsburys empty last week (Ooh, we know what's coming, I thought. Either Hallowe'en or Christmas )

It was a Baby Event. Nappies, Fairy, wipes, Johnson&Johnson.
