VC3ZKBL32M6 gives another 5% off on top of the 25% off at F and F tesco.

Topcasback just keeps saying unavailable Xmas Angry I've given up and just placed a big F and F order without it because things kept going out of stock in my basket. I'm putting off going real life shopping this morning..I'm scared!

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 28/11/2014 10:55

Just been watching some of the Tesco Black Friday madness on FB. I'm stunned, it's like something out of an apocalyptic film, people just grabbing anything and everything they can get their hands on, people fighting, people getting knocked over. The worst part was, there were children in some of the videos too Sad very lucky they weren't trampled. Just shocking behaviour.

cleanandclothed · 28/11/2014 10:57

Am looking for a basic lego set - DS has a few bits and a couple of vehicles but we mainly want more blocks and windows and doors and things - any good ones out there?

And - random request - if anyone buys The Times, recently there was a page with a world map on one side and flags on the other (might have been the Sunday Times, not sure) - would love it if anyone doesn't want theirs, DS2 tore ours up Sad

bobs123 · 28/11/2014 10:59

andadietcoke Beauty box - me neither. Have just checked my credit card and I think it's still a pending transaction Confused

AllThatGlistens · 28/11/2014 11:00

I have had this lovely little basket full from Boots this morning:

Hugo Boss perfume gift set
Ghost perfume
Smashbox travel gift set
Benefit Best of the Best gift box
No7 Bright and Beautiful skincare gift set

For the grand total of........

£100! Savings of almost £70 so very happy with that Grin

starlight36 · 28/11/2014 11:01

andadietcoke - I haven't received a confirmation from the Telegraph Beauty Box either.

wigglesrock · 28/11/2014 11:18

Sofia the first talking animals doll is now 22.39 in Argos. I couldn't get near the website but it's in store.

marne2 · 28/11/2014 11:30

Just got a Amazon delivery, bought dd2 a inkoo on the Amazon deals, looks really good so I just managed to get another one ( different design ) for dd1 Grin, have spent way too much this week, I'm too scared to look at my bank.

GreenEyedMonster14 · 28/11/2014 11:32

Glamour magazine are also doing a beauty box for £16.99. £88 worth of stuff apparently. Free delivery too.

GreenEyedMonster14 · 28/11/2014 11:35

30% off everything at boden

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 28/11/2014 11:43

OMG its like being on dial up trying to get on these websites. Dorothy Perkins have a 30% off plus extra 30% off black friday on selected lines until 12noon but website is epic fail

cleanandclothed · 28/11/2014 11:52

T M Lewin have 12% off everything using CYBER12, so you can buy 5 men's shirts for £88 - have bought 5 for DH and BIL. The good thing is they are fine about exchanges so you can buy now and check sizes later!

SagaNorensSnowflakeTrousers · 28/11/2014 11:53

I've been trying to get on Argos all day to look at watches and stuff. I give up! Hmm

Mama1980 · 28/11/2014 11:55

It's crazy today! I'm not bothering much with the websites, it's taking far too long, tescos is a joke, they've been trying to reload my page for 40 minutes.
On a separate note my poor postman staggered up the drive this morning with £200 worth of books and DVDs....christmas tip for him I think Smile

Shamazeballs · 28/11/2014 11:57

Thanks For the snapfish deal. Thank you cards from the DCs ordered and saves me the pain of forcing them to write/draw them!

clr2014 · 28/11/2014 12:01

i don't like black friday - makes me all greedy and tense inside Sad. think i'm going to hide my head under a pillow until it's over...

FishCalledWonder · 28/11/2014 12:06

Glamour box is great! Thanks for tip. Will split between SIL, Mum and, erm.... me!

marne2 · 28/11/2014 12:14

I have been trying to get on Tesco website since 8am (4 hours), bet there's nothing left anyway.

PesoPenguin · 28/11/2014 12:15

I'm sure most people know about the book people sale, but I just wanted to whole heartedly recommend the set of 50 ladybird books for £25 (usually £35 and still a bargain!). Ds loves his set sooo much and is always keen to read them. They are banded like school books ( but not school booky IYSWIM) and suitable for children from blue to white band.

Petal7 · 28/11/2014 12:15

bobs, starlight and dietcoke I hadn't had a Telegraph beauty box confirmation email either, so I emailed them and they confirmed it. Probably worth doing the same.

I am also glad not to be part of Black Friday madness. I prefer the buying over the months in a chair with a coffee approach that we take on this thread!

Flowers to Reastie and all bargain hunters!

Petal7 · 28/11/2014 12:16

Lakeland have up to 50% off. I am going to get some star lolly moulds. Lots of Star Wars stuff in their sale. Free click and collect.

I tried to get on Tesco just to see what's on offer and can't get in at all either, marne.

I have to say, I think the USA handles Black Friday slightly better. There is still the madness and pushy, shovy, arsery going on but I think it's on a slightly less scale, due to all the shops publishing exactly what they have on offer and what the price will be. This usually comes out in the newspaper the day before (Thanksgiving over there) and so everyone gets a chance to look through and ear-mark where they want to go and for what item. I think it probably cuts down on people just showing up for the off-chance there will be something great and then going crazy for an item they never knew they wanted in the first place. I also think this approach would keep the traffic down on the websites...if they had what's on offer and what price, I would look and see if there was anything worth buying and then stay off the website if there wasn't anything I want, instead of adding to the traffic cos we're all curious what's on offer, iykwim.

sproingle · 28/11/2014 12:37

Aaagh, NOW DD writes her letter to Father Christmas and I need a blue dress with long pointed sleeves (Frozen style? although that wasn't specifically mentioned) The matalan frozen dress looks the sort of thing she wants but I need age 7-8 and they are out of stock on line and it is too late to buy via china.

Anyone seen a Black Friday deal? or something suitable. Ideally strikethrough: well under £20 please.

Also she requests a tiara (kind of like the ones monsoon have for £12 though there is 25% off today) Might have to bite the bullet there. I have everything else she asked for (not much) and some "suprises" as requested.

Got the disney cinderella castle lego for £45 via Amazon as they reduced it whilst I was dithering! so am well chuffed.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 28/11/2014 12:39

Tesco's are doing kids samsung galaxy 3 tab for £79, Very are doing it for £89. Kids (Thomas, Peppa) 10inch bikes for £8 (I call them trikes as pedals are on front wheel).

I haven't ventured onto Tescos or Argos websites as I'm only after coat for Teen DD and I've given up trying to get onto DP website. But have a look on Hot uk deals for tesco's deals saves you waiting to try get on site.

Maybe if I didn't hate crowds I could understand crazy people fighting at the shops over material goods.
