This thread is old now so some of the suggestions may be outdated, but we’ve recently refreshed our best men’s dressing gown page with loads of toasty Mumsnetter-approved options, including longer options. We hope you find it useful.

Try dunelm mills. They have loads in towelling material in all colours.

My husband is 6'3 with long arms - wears a 'tall' in most clothes, I bought him this last year and it is lovely, plenty of room in the sleeve length which he was shocked about as that doesn't happen.

Forgot to say that the quality is really lovely - much nicer than my White Co one. Really thick cotton velour and nicely finished.

A few years ago now but my partners came from lands end, I think we bought from the American site to get the length.

amazonianwoman · 05/11/2014 13:29

lavendersun what's the sizing like? DH also 6ft3, usually XL or XXL, can't decide which to order...

lavendersun · 05/11/2014 13:46

Will go and measure it a welcome break from my books. My husband usually wears a large tall - broad shoulders, 44" chest (I think), 34" waist. Will measure chest and length from centre back to bottom and return ....

\link{http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/100-egyptian-cotton-bath-robe-167923\the Dunelm ones} - it doesn't give a length but the first review complains it was too long & had to be shortened! Grin

Ok, checked a jacket and it is a 44L so 44" chest.

Robe here is an XL. 52" long down centre back from where hood joins to bottom of hem. 28 1/2" wide - measured across the back from where the sleeves join, at the bottom of the hole. Would be armpit on a fitted garment.

The one I bought wasn't reduced and I think it would be more than worth full price.

I bought DH a white company one a couple of years ago and it comes down to his ankles.

Enb76 · 05/11/2014 14:31

Ok so not the cheapest by a long shot but Woods of Shropshire have really good dressing gowns.

PausingFlatly · 05/11/2014 14:34

John Lewis had some lovely ones last year.

Gatekeeper · 05/11/2014 15:38

ooh Enb76, some lovely dressing gowns on that Woods website

thanks everyone
