Johnny, maybe it's only the Playmobil fans like us who are suffering? Wink. I was really holding out for the 3 for 2 aswell. But TBH, one of them has dropped in price by 25% so would happily have got it on it's own, that's why I'm hoping that Amazon will do the price match. As is typically how today is going, I even thought I would try John Lewis to see if they would price match Argos for this one particular item and it's the one they don't sell - ggggrrrrr!!!

Feeling all bitter and twisted today...

TrisisFour · 23/09/2014 10:52

Valerie, I've belonged to studio for a couple of years now and they're very good. But please note that their rolls of wrapping paper are shorter than normal - about 2/3s of a normal size, although they look about half the size.

I have a referral code if anyone wants 20% off the works until 30th Sept. I have ordered loads already so not worried about getting anything from it, just trying to help :) Got posters and calenders really cheap.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but this is a great offer on the FP Laugh and Learn house www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/2782508.htm Am getting it for my chunky 10 month old DS who is unlikely to walk anytime soon so should get great use out it Smile

MrsBungle · 23/09/2014 11:26

andharry thanks for that tip! I shall hold out til oct half term :)

sweetsomethings · 23/09/2014 11:33

Babyscominghomefor christmas. You should mention that you are going to make £20 out of everyone who signs up. I thought this was a bargain thread not make myself somemoney thread. Everyday someone is posting this about and it is purely to try to make some money. Not sure if it is the same person name changing all the time but it is never ending. Plus there is a £30 off a £60 code that is much better for the person signing up for the first time. Posts like this should be reported.

Was looking through the Lakeland catalogue and they have some fab Christmas stuff, inc Christmas pasta and lots of Christmas sprinkles, cutters/moulds. Christmas jumper cake anyone??
They also had some snowflake icing cutters, perfect for both Christmas and Frozen cakes!

TrisisFour · 23/09/2014 11:40

I saw my DSis last night (a Manager in Lidls) and she confirmed that they had some of the Xmas stock in now. Their mini-stollen (DH loves these), some tins of spicy nuts, Xmas puddings, mulled wine, minced pies and most of their frozen food.

I will let you know when the rest of the stuff starts coming in Smile.

Does anyone know if the Argos 3 for 2 applies for shopping online also or only instore?

TrisisFour · 23/09/2014 11:51

Just booked my Next sale slot for 5pm on Thursday - eek!!

momwhereismy · 23/09/2014 11:51

Ooh how do u go about getting a share in a football team? This s would be perfect for dh

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 23/09/2014 11:53

trisisfour I decided to give argos another chance and had a look at their Lego and the bits I thought dds would like were massively cheaper on amazon! like £12 and £15 cheaper! So I think I'm best off buying from a combination of amazon and john Lewis.

I got dh's years ago and can't remember what site I used but the one above looks like the kind of thing I was on about.

TrisisFour · 23/09/2014 12:00

Johnny, I think you're right. I've added all mine to my wish list on Amazon now, following advice on this thread, in the hope that they will reduce the prices to compensate for the Argos 3 for 2. If they don't, I'll buy them from there anyway. The only one I really want them to reduce (on Amazon) is the Family Camper. DD is getting it from her Grandpop for Xmas and it's down to under £30 on Argos at the moment - albeit out of stock - and it's £38.99 on Amazon... If they reduce that down I'll be snapping it up.

BuddyKringleberry · 23/09/2014 12:05

I got this turtles playset in tesco today for £6 it's £15-25 elsewhere. Good stocking filler or token gift.

Also those looking for playmobil, if may be worth a look in Costco. Noah's ark is in my Costco for £27 (up to £60 elsewhere) x

lucysmam · 23/09/2014 12:08

I was in Poundworld earlier, the only Frozen tableware type stuff they had in were sports bottles despite showing a fair bit of stuff on fb yesterday Sad so I'll check again at the weekend for plates and bowls (Doncaster btw in case anyone was going for them)

TrisisFour · 23/09/2014 12:30

Thanks Buddy, but they don't have a Costco down here Sad.

I don't suppose they're online?

TrisisFour · 23/09/2014 12:33

Oh Costco is online!! Unfortunately none of the Playmobil bits that I need are on there, BUT you are absolutely right Buddy, bargainous for anyone looking for it!! Smile

PamelaEwing · 23/09/2014 12:37

Poundland stock is very random, not every store gets the same stuff at the same time annoyingly! Ours didn't have any of the plastic tableware either, but did have the jewellery and hair bands and I did get this nice pack of Frozen wrapping paper this morning. 4 sheets and 4 gift tags (2 Anna & Elsa and 2 Olaf & Sven)

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 23/09/2014 12:49

Ooh buddy what I want is about £6 cheaper in Costco but I need to work out if it's worth it to pay the £25 joining fee.

It's terrible that I end up spending more as a result of these "bargain" threads Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/09/2014 12:55

I'm not sure I end up spending more but the stuff I get is better suited to its recipients than they otherwise might have been.

Also in a lot of cases, better quality.

TheImprobableGirl · 23/09/2014 13:17

I think there is some confusion about poundland and poundworld regarding the frozen tableware!!

Some are saying one and some the other :)

wibblyjelly · 23/09/2014 13:29

Does anyone have any link to cheap chinese dragon necklaces please? Just haf a quick look on Amazon, and they are at least a few quid, i'm hoping for some cheaper ones. Thanks!
