Big present for an 8 year old girl?

I have a thread elsewhere but thought this am appropriate place to ask.

DD is a very outdoorsy girl. Likes riding, bikes, climbing trees.
Has a phone, tablet etc.

What the Jeff can I get her for a big main present? I'm totally stumped.

Some bushcraft lessons
An annual pass to a local attraction
Tickets for her and a friend to go to Go Ape

Go Ape is a fab idea. Will add that to the list as we have one locally.

We have theme park tickets and go numerous times a year but I'm pregnant at the moment so won't be able to go for a while.

Think bigger.

No she really doesn't. But when her little brother gets a big present she will (understandably) be upset if she doesn't!

Do you have an indoor climbing wall nearby that offers climbing lessons? My DD loves climbing (she's 10, but started climbing aged 8).

Or inline skates?

Yes could look at climbing, she has gone a few times and seems to like it.

In line skates she has, but nowhere near a big enough present.

Maybe just get smaller presents for both of them then? It does sound like she has rather a lot, so I'm not surprised you're struggling for ideas.

A stunt, or off road scooter? With accessories like a bug light, spare wheels in a favourite colour, helmet etc?

Has she read The Hobbit, or seen the films? Some new sets are coming out in the autumn, and Lego boxes look 'big' wrapped up, and have great play value if you have a Lego-y child.

Got a trampoline and a stunt scooter.

Ds is getting a motorbike and all the gear, so needs to be similar size. Dh wants to get her a quad bike, I said I'd rather an alternative hence the thread!!

Do you have a couple of acres? If so I would get her a quad, my DCs love racing each other down the woods.

I wouldn't want an 8yo to have a quad bike either, so I understand that.

However, are you planning to keep going with "big" presents forever, OP? If she has everything by the time she is 8, what will you get when she is 9, 10,11 etc? Maybe it's time to change tack a bit? Kids don't need so much "stuff" to be happy.
