Anyone know when these appear in the shops, am thinking matalan or next I guess. I really want some for the dc but left it too late last yr. I want something bright and colourful. I know M and S did them last year but theirs were quite tasteful - Scandinavian reindeer type. I want a large Santa type thing Grin

I bought the Primark flannel Woodlands for DD bed (and flannel sheet , but it has a tiny , regular pattern, she didn't like the blue patterned deer sheet)

DS has Cozee Home microfleece (it dries really quickly unlike cotton flannel)

Ready to wash and go on their beds on the 1st Dec Grin

Will do patches. I am not sure what I expect for £18 tbh but I do sew and I thought that if the stitching was poor I could resew the seams and put some batting in it/make it into a Christmas quilt. I couldn't buy the fabric for that.

Both of my DC tend to kick their duvets more or less off themselves in the night so I found it very easy to put the Xmas duvet cover on over the normal duvet cover on the night of 30th Nov. It was lovely hearing their surprise. Well, absolute confusion to start off with and it did only take minutes. For the rest of the month, I just washed the DC's bedding as the first load on a Saturday, tumble dried it and then put it back on their bed so they just had that duvet for the entire month but it was kept clean.

patches if you check back the ebay set arrived today - not bad really. The white on patterned top bit is thin enough to see the green (bottom) fabric through it.

It is hard not to compare it to my normal bedding but I mustn't do that as I spend nearly the cost of this set on a pillowcase.

So, a good choice for a fun Christmas set - probably be better once it is washed and dried but my drier has broken and is being repaired on Monday so I won't do it until then.

Obv you won't see the green once there is a quilt sandwiched in the middle.

does anyone know how much the single duvet sets are in primark please and what patterns they have? working out whether it's worth a trip into town.

Thanks
