For DS1's first Christmas, he was given a little animal crockery set from M&S. It included a little (melamine) mug and a little (plastic) glass, and he had become particularly fond of both because they were more like the cups DH and I use than the plastic beakers he mainly drinks from. This year he's managed to break the mug, and crack the glass (it can still be used for the moment, but I'm not sure it'll last much longer). I was hoping Santa could bring him some replacements in his stocking...

I've tracked down some glasses, e.g. this and some mugs, e.g. this . However, if anyone has seen any more bargainous versions, I would be very grateful. I'm not too fussy about the design, but they would need to be dishwasher safe. Thanks for your help!

Feeling a bit bad about moaning as it turns out that ds has a chest infection and needed antibiotics. More time off nursery. A little fresh air going shopping just incase I missed anything would be good for him though right? fgrin

RedKites · 11/12/2013 16:56

Taffeta - Wilkos apparently had Christmas loo roll (though mine didn't seem to have any), or Ocado had some Snowman stuff if that helps?

SpottyChristmasCakes · 11/12/2013 17:03

3bunnies I recently let dd's chest infection get so bad they nearly sent us to hospital. I thought it was just a virus Shock

Weareboatsremember · 11/12/2013 17:06

Aldi had Christmas loo roll and kitchen roll at the weekend, but they were special buys from a week or so ago so your store may not have any in stock. Pound shops always worth checking for novelty toilet roll too :)

3bunnies · 11/12/2013 17:31

Spotty Don't think it can be too bad as he's still running around pretending to be a monster trying to hit everyone and doing headstands on the sofa. I've taken children in when they seem far sicker to be told it's just a virus. Hopefully antibiotics will work and he'll be back at nursery soon. Hope your dd better now.

bettythebuilder · 11/12/2013 17:37

Lidl had Christmas loo roll yesterday was tempted but dh has a fussy bottom

SpottyChristmasCakes · 11/12/2013 18:11

She was 3bunnies for all of a week but now her temp is 39.5! At least it doesn't seem to be bothering your ds. I honestly have no idea how to tell if it's viral or not but tend to stick to taking them if they've had a fever for more than three days Confused

Does anyone know where online I can get those disposable roasting trays? Not massive ones but ones suitable for veg and roast potatoes etc?

Taffeta · 11/12/2013 18:16

Many thanks! Nowhere near a Lidl but will try Wilkos and Aldi Thanks

Reastie · 11/12/2013 18:19

I want christmas loo roll, we don't have any fussy bums here Grin

Amber alert! Hare and bear images of toys back on JL website. Could stock be imminent?

www.johnlewis.com/christmas/the-bear-the-hare-products/c6000570157

I have to say that bear looks cute

MooseyMoo · 11/12/2013 18:25

I've put an email alert on - which one was funky after?

ChestnutsroastingintheFireligh · 11/12/2013 18:28

If you download the shopscansave app then you can go to your nearest co-op until Friday (or stick runs out) & get a free cadburys selection box & box if shortbread biscuits

It was highlighted on MSE. I got mine today. It's done via the pay point terminal. St my local co op after the first customer went all the staff were downloading the app too (it gives money off on various products at lots of small local food shops but this particular offer is only co-op)

ChestnutsroastingintheFireligh · 11/12/2013 18:30

This is the link - it's free.

app.shopscansave.com

Mama1980 · 11/12/2013 18:36

I have got a email alert set up too. My ds really wants one. Does anyone know what funky wants? Would be happy to try to grab something at the same time.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 11/12/2013 18:39

She's after a hare Smile

TheOneWithTheHair · 11/12/2013 18:39

She wants the hare soft toy I think.

MrsLoveChristmas · 11/12/2013 18:43

Someone was asking about the Flavourly box - just got an email as an existing customer they are sending out links to get the Christmas one for £10 delivered so check your emails

MrsLoveChristmas · 11/12/2013 18:45

I thought she wanted both but might be wrong

TwllBach · 11/12/2013 18:53

I just bought the Flavourly box because of you alllll

Those of you that are getting your body shop gifts through, when did you subscribe? I subscribed on Nov 25th, what do you think my chances are of getting my Body Shop gifts in time for Christmas?

I also subscribed to Red magazine for £15 plus free Elemis stuff on the same date - did anyone do the same and have they received them yet?

TwllBach · 11/12/2013 19:00

Also... what are peoples thoughts on the 50% offer for the £100 Christmas Cracker of a Hamper from Thorntons? I'm balking a bit at the idea of spending £50 on chocolate, but then I can split the gifts for people...

But then I think, chocolate is a bit impersonal and then I get myself all tied in knots!

500internalerror · 11/12/2013 19:07

Oh no - I just did a book people order, scrolled down here & found the 10% code, & settle for that as lucky13 doesn't work now. I didnt see the free delivery for mn Hmm

ThisIsMeNow · 11/12/2013 19:33

Twll, I subscribed 2nd oct and got mine in the last couple of days.
When I spoke to them they said it normally takes up to another before your first issue is sent out and the gift is sent 28 working days after your first issue.
