My 12yo DS is a size 1.5 Shock

InMySpareTime · 16/12/2013 07:58

Needle, Aldi had some fun warm socks in last week if that helps...

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 16/12/2013 08:02

Need to add to socks commentary - ds was measured in Clarks as a one a month or two before turning 6. He is a tall boy though not freakishly so Smile

TheBuskersDog · 16/12/2013 08:07

My 12yo DS is a size 1.5

Wow, is he very small generally, it must be difficult to buy 'grown up' shoes for him.

neddle · 16/12/2013 08:45

Grin to the shoe size debate!
He's 6 in February, but yes he is tall - 91st centile. He's catching up his 8yo brother who is a size 2. Dd 12 is a size 4 and won't last much longer before she's outgrown.
Surprising, my youngest (who was 2 weeks late) ended up being the lightest at birth and is on the 9th centile.

Oh, and thanks for the ideas. I normally manage to get them all from supermarkets and primark, but struggle this year.
Will look in primark again and we're going to Mataram today.

Banffy · 16/12/2013 09:06

30% off Joules wellies with code FTWR30

InMySpareTime · 16/12/2013 10:17

Buskers, he's generally small, wears age 9-10 clothes, he's not that fussed about "grown up" shoes, he has narrow feet as well (C width) so it 'a usually more about getting the one pair that actually fits than making a fashion statement.

KatoPotatoHoHo · 16/12/2013 10:20

Wahhh! A TWITCH!!

I totally forgot the DS wanted a Sooty Puppet! Anyone know a good place for this??

KatoPotatoHoHo · 16/12/2013 10:29

Official site £12 each. Bought them!

AChristmassyJerseySpud · 16/12/2013 10:42

DD1 is 7 next month and a size 12.
DD2 is 2.5 and a size infant 5.

Banffy · 16/12/2013 10:49

I just got this world atlas rrp £30 for £3.99 and free delivery with prime. I'm sure it was on Amazon black friday for at least £10, can't remember exactly.

CatAmongThePigeons · 16/12/2013 10:59

missmakes* you could get xbox live points- he can buy add ons for games and extra downloads.

Christmastimemoonbluesandwine · 16/12/2013 11:08

Banffy that's great - thanks!

KatoPotatoHoHo · 16/12/2013 11:14

Wowm thanks Banffy! x

CatAmongThePigeons · 16/12/2013 12:17

Neddle H&M and Primark are good bets on socks in that size.

Fwiw, in shoes DS1 (7) is 2.5 and DS2 (22m) is infant 7. DSS (10) is an adult 7. Shock We have huge feet in our family Grin

pigleychez · 16/12/2013 12:36

Finally caught up with you all! I missed a weeks worth of thread and its taken me ages to catch up.

We moved to a new house (relocated) so packing/unpacking has taken over somewhat. Now my Christmas head needs to go back on although it really doesn't feel like Christmas yet.

Normally im so organised but Moving 2 weeks before Xmas has really thrown me this year and I still have a few bits to get. Stupid time to move really!

Anyone seen any nice barginous Jewellery about? Thinking a necklace for my auntie (Something big and chunky) and a Bracelet from my sister ( silver/black blingy!)
Ideally something online??

SpicedTeaAndXmasCakeOrDeath · 16/12/2013 12:46

Banffy its out of stock now but still letting you order it for when it next comes in so got it for DP, thanks

muchostinky · 16/12/2013 13:00

Whilst we are talking about large feeted children, my DS is 6.5 and has just gone into an adult size 3 (he is probably a 2.5 really, but it's good to have growing room!)

InMySpareTime · 16/12/2013 13:30

When my DS was 6.5 he wore a children's size 6 shoe. I couldn't get him proper school shoes until he hit size 7 in Year 2.
At least The DCs got (still get) 15 months' wear out of most shoes.

Aintnobodylovesnanbetter · 16/12/2013 14:43

My great plains orders arrived
The jumper dress is lovely and looks great on.i thought it would show all my bumps and wobbly bits but it fits perfectly.
Thanks to whoever linked to it.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 16/12/2013 14:55

Ooooh, remember the Yves Rocher freeby worth £££££s thingy the other week? I have just had email despatch (they are v slow!) saying they have despatched the shower gel (which I paid £8 something for) together with:
LIQUID HAND SOAP CACAO ORANGE 1
49293 HAND CREAM CACAO&ORANGE 1
63070 GOLD ORGANZA GIFT POUCH 1
69328 ORIENTAL VELVETY SKIN SCRUB 1
70070 NOURISHING ARGAN BALM WITH

So they are the freebies! They will be good to replace some of the magazine freebies which I am guessing will not be waiting for me when I get home on Thursday.

(I lost my passport this morning, and sat and sobbed for an hour, but a lovely (if stern) policeman came a-knocking to tell me someone has handed it in so I can go and fetch it. I thought I was going to be APART FROM MY BARGAINS ALL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!)

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 16/12/2013 15:10

Going to need to bother Hearst again as no sign of free gift (or a reply to my email)

CadenceRoastingByAnOpenFire · 16/12/2013 16:02

Still no reply from Body Shop about the oil burner that turned up instead of my 2 gift sets Hmm.

ReastieYuleANBU · 16/12/2013 16:14

My great plains order arrived today too, lovely dress and 4 nice vesty tops to go under stuff for less than £14 delivered.

I emailed conde naste (or something like that) about a free gift from months ago and just got told I would get it when it was back in stock, they didn't know when that would be Hmm . Tbh I can't even remember what the free gift was!

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/12/2013 17:07

My Great Plains stuff arrived today too. I haven't had the chance to look at it yet though.

Also, one of my packages from china arrived. They were supposed to be here on 5th. I emailed and they said it was all stuck in British customs. :( I really hope they get here soon.
