I am in doubt.

Tree number 1 is cheaper and I think would look lovely with lights and the presents underneath.

Tree number 2 is more traditional and expensive and will look nice with decor too.

Your link shows an empty trolley

kiwidreamer · 28/11/2013 13:25

I'm having new tree conundrums too, please relink --so I can steal your ideas--

Upcycled · 28/11/2013 13:31

Trying again:

Tree 1

Tree 2

Neither are traditional trees and I have to say I prefer a traditional tree but on I'd say tree 1 is more stylish.hth

HairyPorter · 28/11/2013 13:50

Neither for me. But if I had to choose , definitely 1.

MadeOfStarDust · 28/11/2013 13:51

neither for me - I like lush and real.... twiggy things do not appeal...sorry....

Bluecarrot · 28/11/2013 13:56

Neither for me - I have the reasonably priced b&q eiger and love it, but its v traditional.

wonderingsoul · 28/11/2013 13:58

neither but if i had to choose id say one

Upcycled · 28/11/2013 13:59

Thanks so far.

I do not like traditional. Don't need to say sorry if you don't like it, it is for me not for you.

And I don't care if is not real either.

I wouldn't even have a tree tbh, but the pressure from dd and dh is making me have one.

Keep voting.

I'd say 1.

Number 2 looks like a bottle brush.

Nix01 · 28/11/2013 14:32

I prefer traditional, so 2 for me.

applecrumbleandcream · 28/11/2013 14:35

I prefer number 2. Not much to number 1.

therunnawaybride · 28/11/2013 14:38

Grin At bottle brush! I prefer 1 if you like a more modern look 2 looks like you've gone for traditional and failed fwiw to anyone looking for a new tree who does like traditional; I got a new tree in tescos yesterday for £25 it's a 6ft Norwegian spruce and is gorgeous! Well impressed it was that cheap and can't wait to put it up now Smile

Pascha · 28/11/2013 14:40

I like number 1 a lot. Number 2 just looks a bit lacking in comparison.

bruffin · 28/11/2013 14:44

I want to get a number 1, but teenage dcs wont let me Sad

Upcycled · 28/11/2013 14:45

Thanks.

The only reason why I short listed number 2 is because dh and his family who will spend Christmas with us like traditional but I don't have space for a big lush tree and I already banned turkey and even though tree 2 is not traditional, it is not as modern as tree 1.

I am afraid now that tree 1 will look bare whit out presents underneath. What do you think? Also I am concerned about the snow effect...who has snow indoors, really?

Upcycled · 28/11/2013 14:47

oh bruffin
People around me wouldn't let me get tree 1 either if I asked.
I am sure they will love it once it is all decorated.

wonderingsoul · 28/11/2013 14:48

you could allways wrap up presents to keep under there :)

wonderingsoul · 28/11/2013 14:48

i mean empty boxs lol.

Upcycled · 28/11/2013 14:51

oh I see...

I am so rubbish at wrapping beautifully and I tend to get wrapping paper from pound land LOL

Guess I can make a bigger effort this time round to divert from the fact tree 1 isn't traditional...if I get it.

TessTackle · 28/11/2013 14:52

1 is amazing for what you want. Will look lovely with presents underneath

Upcycled · 28/11/2013 14:56

That is what I am envisaging for tree 1: lights, tasteful decor and nice presents underneath.

I think it will save me space and definitely money too.

iv changed my mind.. thats sounds REALLY nice.
deff number one :)

velvetmoon · 28/11/2013 15:04

I'd go for Tree 1 - if you're not going to go traditional, you might as well go all the way!
