Dranksangria How about the flip tshirts on play.com?

They say something silly like 'ask me about my gorilla/zombie/t rex/santa claus/etc' and then when somebody does, they flip the bottom of their tshirt over their head and the inside has a picture of a gorilla/zombie/t rex/etc on the inside. would probably appeal to boy and not appeal to their mum so much... Seem to be about £7-£10 but have been cheaper as one of their daily deals if you feel up to sitting it out and waiting.

Alternatively why not look on thebookpeople.co.uk - they are having a one day sale on; there's a world of beer book for the 18 year old for a fiver, a book of footie facts for £3 and other books that would suit a 10 year old... You might get lucky and find a free delivery code too - then just get them send direct to their house, as a gift but not gift wrapped and would be very cheap (I assume you are sending as you said your dd got her present sent to her).

Or look on amazon or play - you could get them a novelty usb stick for less than a fiver - would be light and easy to post. There's a guitar for £3.15, a camera for £3.09, a penguin for £4.39 and plenty more when you start to look at the 'also viewed' sections on the pages.

Think the latter are my favourite idea of these - cheap, easy to send, look quite generous, each boy can have a variant on the same thing, it could be really useful and look more expensive than they are!

Ok it seems that the grolsch thingy needs unique/obscure answers - just had the question about fleeing to another country and I answered wales but freaky phone lady said although it made me the right character they had already received that answer twice in the last reason so for that reason I didn't win. I am going to give up before all my text messages cost more than a pack of grolsch.....
