And yes, Luke was really very good! Actually got my attention away from bargain hunting for a few minutes Smile. I think Gary was lucky the public voted the right way!

BeaWheesht · 01/12/2013 21:19

Anyone know where best place to buy about 100 small cellophane clear bags is?

Oreocrumbs · 01/12/2013 21:20

Oh good, I like Luke, loved Skinny love last night I stayed up until stupid o'clock to watch the repeats after work last night to see him.

You will all be pleased to know ITV is back in the north east.

iheartdusty · 01/12/2013 21:23

Kormachameleon has your DS seen minecraft Lego?

my rising 10 y/o will be getting an animation camera & book, a Maxi marble run, yet more Lego, books about Lego, and books about Minecraft.

Does he like music?

pigleychez · 01/12/2013 21:34

Sapphire

My DD is 5 and has some of the friends set but recently just bought her this which is would make a great starter set. Great price too!

snowgirl1 · 01/12/2013 21:40

BeaWheest do they have to be plain cellophane bags? Poundland have some with snow (well, small white blobs) on that come complete with little ribbons to tie them. They also have bags with snow and a snowy village printed at the bottom of the bag + ribbons.

Auntiebaba · 01/12/2013 21:44

Just seen this from Seasalt on HUKD. Not sure if they're a great bargain but not bad with free postage. Also noticed they have a sale on men's and women's clothing.

IHeartKing I've never used it myself but my sister is very into make up and she says ELF is very good. It's great value too.

I still can't find my bloody two presents that I've lost!!

TheregoesBod · 01/12/2013 22:21

Thanks DisneyAddict, I have just ordered a playmobil winter wonderland (£8.99)and a lego starwars(£12.50) advent calendar for next year. There is very little availability so DP has been ordered to collect it from near(ish) work. For that price I'm well pleased so a big thankyou!

Just bought cat scarf and noticed this very cute pendant here

MsJupiterJones · 01/12/2013 22:25

Thanks Disney for the tip about the advent calendars - I hadn't got one for DS as thought he was too young at 13 months but then this morning wished I had, so went and bought the Playmobil one. I know he's too young to have the small pieces or understand really but I think it will be nice to make over the next few weeks as a family and he will see the scene coming together.

Just put my Amazon order in for some of the brilliant offers on books and other bits highlighted by this thread, thanks!

AliceinSlumberland · 01/12/2013 22:40

Good news, found my earrings from china in my knicker drawer and my kiwi post its under the bed!

2kidsintow · 01/12/2013 22:41

I'm expecting a LOT of parcels tomorrow at work as I've bought a few things on the black Friday deals and have signed up for the free Prime delivery. Hope the secretary is still speaking to me by the end of the day. :)

Not a bad start to advent. DD2 excited by her lego advent calendar - not sure DD1 has bothered with her cadbury one though.

Tree up and looking lovely after I dithered over which colour theme to go for. :)

IHeartKingThistle · 01/12/2013 22:41

OK I've just put in a big elf cosmetics order so hope it's nice! Site running really slow though. We've got my whole family staying on Christmas Eve so when the elves leave the DCs new PJs at bedtime they're also going to leave bargainous glitter nail varnishes for my mum and sisters - and they say elf on them! Grin

Oh, it's the little things that make me happy...
