Does anyone know about any codes etc for PC World/Currys?

I managed to win a £100 gift card, but I'm not sure what to spend it on.

We don't need any appliances and my PC and printer were both new in the last month.

I have an iPhone and an original iPad. I'm considering upgrading the iPad and letting my kids fight over it.
I'm liking the discount and cashback they're offering, but even with £100 off, I'd still have to pay a fair bit.

Or any other ideas?

Kipsy · 29/11/2013 23:44

neddle Is it £100 off something or can you buy £100 worth of stuff?
If it were me, I'd get ink cartridges for the new printer.
Not as exciting as a new gadget perhaps, but you would be spending on some eventually (pretty soon if your printer is anything like mine, grrr)

joymaker · 29/11/2013 23:57

A pleasure Crocodile really hope you manage to get one Smile

neddle good for you. What a nice dilemma. Do you need to spend it now? If not I'm sure closer to christmas/just after/ New year there will be lots of items that will come down in price and you would therefore get more for your money?

neddle · 30/11/2013 00:07

I'm really pleased as I only went to the store for the competition.
It's on a card, so I can spend it a bit at a time if I want.
No hurry really, the cashback offer on the iPad finishes on wednesday, but I'm sure there will be better deals later.

QueenofallIsee · 30/11/2013 01:19

thanks for the sanctuary tip at boots! 3 gift sets for 10!

andadietcoke · 30/11/2013 02:29

The Sanctuary/Boots thing also works on the large tin. £40, reduced to £26.66. Works out at £39.99 for three with free store delivery, so £13 each.

Reastie · 30/11/2013 06:25

twerking fab idea thanks but I don't know if he has an iphone. hair excellent find! It's just not that cheesy/jokey though, a bit too tasteful for what I was thinking Grin . Will get that if I can sort anything else though Thanks (that really isn't meant as ungrateful as it sounds)

I hope none of you were involved with the stampede bunfight for discount TVs at Asda I heard about on the news

Fooogle · 30/11/2013 07:22

Hello all
Massively behind on the thread, can't read fast enough!
In case anyone is an Essie nail varnish fan, demon beauty has it at 4.90 or something at the moment. I don't know of other codes sadly so p and p still go pay....

Fooogle · 30/11/2013 07:24

To pay

Rosvita · 30/11/2013 07:32

God vertbaudet are annoying -have received an email cancelling my second item (pair of boots for dd-the only reason I placed the order in the first place) so now instead of having received boots and pants set for 17.99 I've received just the pants for 9.79 - hardly a bargain!pants already opened and been worn by dd so can't return and she does like them but still only ordered them to take the order over £20 to get the £ off.grrr.wont be using them again.

HoneyDragon · 30/11/2013 07:43

Rosvita

Call them. Whenever I have had to return an item they have always honoured the discount on remaining items. Particularly if it is their fault.

Penguinbeaver · 30/11/2013 08:37

Any valid Debenhams codes flying around? codes in OP no longer valid thanks.

Free delivery at Wilkos on orders placed on Monday

DrankSangriaInThePark · 30/11/2013 08:47

Is everyone signing up to the Sun for the free £10 vouchers?

Much as it pains me to even say the word, and my soul feels sullied at doing it....a bargain is a bargain.....if you sign up and pay £1 for a month's trial on Sun+ (whatever the befeckery that is) you get a £10 voucher, there's Tesco/Argos and rumours have it that Monday they are offering M and S.

To get the voucher you have to "use" the Sun+ service (think just by signing in to their website and looking at the tits'n'bums or whatever) for a week, then apparently you get your voucher code delivered.

Have just signed self up to get a Tesco one.

supermariossister · 30/11/2013 08:51

Still looking for my brother. late 20s usually buys everything when he needs it . plays Xbox and supports man city likes brands but im clueless. He's last on my list it's driving me bats.

TheOneWithTheHair · 30/11/2013 09:09

No moaning yet but I've had two deliveries already this morning and I think dh might be getting irritated. It's not stopped him adding stuff to his own list though. Grin

EduCated · 30/11/2013 09:12

If anyone has any ideas for little things to go inside crackers I am desperate for suggestions Sad a I have 16 to do, all different, all adults and all ideally under 3 pounds (less is even better).

I've ordered a few things from this thread Thanks but left it a bit late to guarantee some of the cheaper things arriving if they're being posted from China/HK. Bah! I can always do chocolates as a back up, but baghhhh!!

PastaBeeandCheese · 30/11/2013 09:15

Supermariobros MandM Direct have lots of nice Firetrap t shirts, Polos and hoodies reduced in their black Friday sale. Might be ideal for your brother?

platespinnermum · 30/11/2013 09:25

EduCated I've put tubes of lip balm in crackers in the past, last time I did it I bought a set of 3 from M&S (probably as part of some 3 for 2) and split it up. Boots or supermarkets (or even Poundland etc) would also be a good place to find multipacks. I found men much harder to find cheap things for though, I ended up with novelty tat from the likes of Hawkins Bazaar - it did all get used for table games though.

platespinnermum · 30/11/2013 09:27

Oh and I also bought a pack of mini individually wrapped candy canes and put one in each cracker too, I've seen them in the Range this year but they're probably everywhere!

shufflebum · 30/11/2013 09:36

supermario all the men in my family have got Whiskey stones this year (like unmelting ice cubes) got them from amazon for a couple of quid but watch out for steep postage charges.

SpottyTeacakes · 30/11/2013 10:01

Why did some of dp's Christmas presents have to get delivered on the one day he's here Hmm

EduCated · 30/11/2013 10:11

Thanks platespinner, hadn't actually thought of splitting multipacks of things! DM does the cracker buying and she got the piddly little ones from The Works before I could request the bigger JL ones, so the cracker cavity bit is tiny, just to make life harder!

Got a couple of Sanctuary lip balms from Home Bargains for two of them, which was a bit of a find!
