Marble run
Alphabet stamp set
Busytown eye spy game, I can hardly wait to crack this open
Large magnet
Pop up pirate playbook, I haven't seen one of these in action, but seems sturdy
Bath bead dinosaurs (an absolute essential from the stocking filler thread)
A first pair of hair bobbles. They are rubbish! But all I could find at the toddler end of hair bobbles. Who knows why I feel bobbles are so important.

Kyrptonite · 26/11/2013 19:41

I'm waiting for the 8:30 lightening deal. I want that playmobil school! For the DCs of course its not like I was never allowed playmobil as it was too expensive

Bobbles are important. You learn this when you have to scrape Bolognese out of a very hairy child! Plus it stops them looking like wild cave children for about ten minutes.

Dd (10) might be having an ipod touch but we still haven't decided for certain. We have bought some Lego Friends, a couple of Moxie dolls and some Minecraft toys so far. We are really late this year not helped by dd not having any wishlist at all.

MadeOfStarDust · 26/11/2013 19:43

My DDs are 11 and 13 at Xmas and will be getting sewing boxes - they have asked for their own kits when we have been making a "family" quilt using one of those 104 part-work magazines - so a sewing basket with a little tin of needles and a pincushion kit to make as well as some decent scissors and threads, pins and tape measure etc..

I'm enjoying putting it together for them...

DD (11) asked for a lego friends boat/cruiser kit and DD (13) asked for a creationary kit - a fashion design type thing, which they are both getting, then some stocking filler things..... (Despicable me minion key rings, Bazinga T-shirt etc..)

stargirl1701 · 26/11/2013 19:53

DD 15 months.

Christmas Eve hamper - Robin print babygrow from Frugi and TotsBots gingerbread cloth nappy

Father Christmas - IKEA toy kitchen

Something you want - buggy board (not keen on being in pram)
Something you need - block crayon holder from Etsy
Something to wear - knitted dress from Etsy
Something to read - Grimms' Fairy Tales from The Folio Society

peacefuleasyfeeling · 26/11/2013 20:25

Lordy! I'm properly Envy now that I've read your lists. I'm on the skint end of maternity leave and had just decided not to sweat the gifts this year and felt kind of OK about it. I'm on my phone so too fiddly to write in list format, but here goes: DD1 (3) is getting a Zooom balance bike, a few books, a Wentwood puzzle, a karaoke boombox, a bead-threading kit, a vintage Snakes & Ladders game and, god forgive me and curse her dad, a massive plastic gun. And guess what, all (but the gun) are 2nd hand. Oh, and some headband reindeer horns from the Coop (these are actually the only things she says she wants). And DD2 (5 months) will get a token present as she doesn't actually need anything, having all of DD1's old baby everything. Last year DD1 was properly spoilt but I think she's too young to remember and make a comparison. But I was a bit worried about bulking out her stocking, and am loving some of the inexpensive suggestions here; I mean, tissues -inspired! What's more, I know she'd positively adore a bunch of her very own character tissues. Perhaps even a box of no-restrictions-stick-as-many-as-you-like-knock-yourself-out character plasters? Hm, I'm noticing a little handbag theme emerging... That's it, I'm off to make a shopping list!

sadsometimes · 26/11/2013 20:26

Dd1 (14) - expensive riding boots they cost 250 and she is getting them as a joint Xmas and birthday present
Jodhpurs, gilet, horse stuff, earphones, book
Dd2 (11) - sewing machine, an adopted donkey (desperate for this!!), pony stuff, pony mag annual, clothes, pack of 20 funky coloured sharpie pens
Dd3 (7) - toy horsebox and horse, dymo label maker, slushie cup, books (pack of 30 from the book people), pens and colouring book

Stockings with stationery stuff, sweets, a book each, impulse and lip balms, cheapy gloves, scented candles, horse treats, pants and socks

My stuff seems quite boring compared to some here!

ipanicked · 26/11/2013 20:27

Mittensonkittens · 26/11/2013 20:42

Don't feel bad about the pick and mix shop. Ds had it last christmas, ate all the sweets and then ignored it. It has gone to the charity shop else I'd have sent it to you! I didn't want to keep refilling it and ds was only interested as long as the sweets lasted.

Kyrptonite · 26/11/2013 20:45

Can you link to the dragon aquarium please girliefriend? Sounds awesome!

Right My 2 are being spoilt a bit this year as my mum is unwell and I feel the need for an ott christmas this year! Have also sold on a load of outgrown toys and clothes so made £300 plus I didnt pay full price for anything (my kids usually only get 5-6 presents plus a stocking and something small for the solstice so this is a bigger list than usual!)

Schleich ice carriage
Lego friends horses

Playmobil native americans
Candle kit
Robot wind ups craft kit
Moshi set of 20 figures
Furby stationary set

wheres Wally books
small Polly pocket set (1 figure and some animals)
PDSA kids club membership ORDERED
How to train your dragon books ORDERED
CD player - for the winter solstice
hexbug fish
kidi pet (like a tamagotchi)
stocking with bits and pieces

DS (3)

I must add though that they don't get much 'stuff' from anyone else. inlaws have got them a magazine subscription each and my mum has got them a science kit for dd and octonauts set for ds so there wont be piles of presents elsewhere. I do think we have gone a bit ott this year though and will be scaling back again next year!
