joymaker the Aldi stocking is about 15cms wide but stretchy, but I had to go to 2 Aldis at the weekend to find a red one as it's a special buy from a couple of weeks ago now and certainly wont last into December! They aim to sell out in under 4 weeks on all specials.

Monopoly back down to £6.66 on Amazon if anyone missed it before.

I'm making my own advent calendar for ds (4) and dd (2). I made the calendar years ago but never used it - its a fabric one. I'm looking for ideas for cheap things to put in it as an alternative to chocolate. I will put some choc in it. so far I have bought xmas tattoos. was thinking I could make up a craft kit from stuff in house to make a Xmas craft. anyone have any other ideas or see anything while shopping? I have to fill 25 days and don't want to spend more than £20 all together...

notso have not tried the amazon syrups but have had flavoured snow cones before, dc would definitely love them

Still very by the zhu zhu sets at Tesco - was looking at this one, a review said you get a hamster with it, but the product description said hamster sold separately - can anyone advise?

Just a warning that there are scam emails purporting to be from DHL going around. I was suspicious as soon as I opened it and even more so as I knew I'd been in when they claimed they made the delivery. I went onto the DHL website & they had examples of the scams they're aware of and one was the email I'd received. I just thought I'd let you know as no doubt a couple of you are expecting parcels.
My ELC delivery finally arrived today, three days after it should have done. No despatch email & a really battered & broken box. Everything inside seemed OK tho.

TheIggorcist I picked my hamster set up the other day and it did have an hamster in it. I'm looking for another hamster to go with it if anyone knows where I can get one? I know someone mention Home Bargains but I live miles away from one

TheIggorcist I collected my zhu zhu set on Saturday and it definitely had a hamster. I also picked up some zhu zhu babies in pound land to go along with it.

So whilst looking for something completely different on Amazon I stumbled on something that I just knew would go down well here for all those looking for something for that difficult to buy for person...

I never knew such things existed - cotton buds, elbows or tissues here but just thought that they would be a great thing to put into somebody's present and then watch it progress along the re-gifting path (oh and I have no idea how safe they are to stick in your ear. or somebody elses!)

I have a B plan (not bargainous though lovely) so won't be stuck if I don't get one

Auntie re Tomy walker toy, that's the kind of thing my DS2 would love but I would end up hating if I'm constantly picking up the balls from everywhere Do you know what it's like from experience?

...Oh and I asked about the hamster being included last week (or the week before, time seems to be flying now!) and those who had purchased kindly assured me that there was indeed one in the pack. I have yet to pick it up from Tescos as they screwed up the initial delivery so it had to be reordered. I will be collecting it today though.

I went to tkmaxx yesterday to browse their 'Christmas offerings' but they didn't have much in at all apart from loads of baubles and after shopping so much online, I couldn't work out if I was RL shopping too early or too late ) but I did spot this (Winnie-the-Pooh and the Grand Christmas Surprise) for only £3.99 which my DC will love...

So I went through the present cupboard yesterday...

Thank goodness DH wasn't here! But it's all so bargainous!
