latin I'm not 100% sure how amazon works (an expert will no doubt be along soon!), but what I've done these past weeks is out stuff on wish list or in my basket, then hourly periodically check and order when the price is right.

If it's a regular stock item you've still time to hold your nerve, then if it doesn't change order nearer Xmas.

lucysmam · 14/11/2013 13:35

thanks Ruby. I might take the chance....we'll see Smile

Any Studio Ghibli fans? Their films are usually at least £10 each which makes this pack of 18 films for £34.50 delivered a MASSIVE bargain imo

Some of them are only in Japanese but 14 are in English too.
www.skyjapan.net/ghibli-studio-complete-movie-collection-box-set.html

It is a library type set of 6 discs so no good for splitting up into smaller pressies, but I am very pleased and looking forward to DD opening it so I can get on with watching them all while eating Hotel Chocolate and wearing my bird scarf :)

StarvingBookworm · 14/11/2013 13:45

Dogmatix my DM found a v v similar fold out school in B&M for £7.99 at weekend (sorry if already posted, am catching up!).

OneUp · 14/11/2013 13:47

Any ideas of where I can get some Japanese food for my partner for Christmas? I'm hoping it won't be too expensive as I don't have much to spend on him this year.

Nix01 · 14/11/2013 13:53

I forgot to include the bargainous price of 1.99 each!

Here's my massive bargain contribution smile

My boys are Bieber mad, and are going to go crazy when they open these on Christmas Day - bonus is it's really big too:

My delivery man (who seems to do everything in the area-amazon, next etc) has just delivered to me in a swanky new van.
Don't know whether to be chuffed that I've probably paid for the upgrade with all my orders, or embarrassed that he needs a larger van because of me!

cat811 · 14/11/2013 14:14

Poundlndn have some of those straw glasses (that you wear as you suck your drink...) if anyone is still looking for stockingfillers for children....they also have plastic mugs with paper inserts to colour in and slot back in (if that makes sense)- Planes and Mickey - could be a good Christmas Day table activity?

SunnyRandall · 14/11/2013 14:21

£5 off £20 spend at Smyths - LOCAL5OFF.

Sorry if this has already been posted!

Umlauf · 14/11/2013 14:23

Thought I'd share a bargain in a case anyone is looking for nice Xmas presents for babies/toddlers, amazon is selling loads of these leggings/joggers for around £2 including delivery. My baby has a pair already (he's 6 weeks) but wearing 12-18months as trousers, I think they're great as they will last him ages, first as trousers later as leggings. I've just bought 4 more for his stocking.

lazzaroo · 14/11/2013 14:35

My bargain wooden advent from studio24 has just arrived. It's lovely but one door is broken and another is missing completely! Makes me cross that they even dispatch something in that state. Time to get on the 'phone to sort it out. As it took several weeks to arrive I doubt I'll get replacement by 1st Dec (good job dd2 is only 11 months so won't care...but that's not the point!)

BuddyKringleberry · 14/11/2013 14:35

theonlyoneiknow I could kiss you right now! I just reordered my flashing Chritmas tree jumper from New Look and ordered one for my best friend too. The 25% off saved me £15 once I return my full price one. So pleased to have bought at least one adult gift at long last x

Reastie · 14/11/2013 14:44

I am wearing my christmas jumper today Grin

snowgirl yes it was me. Great link wish I would've gone to ikea now but I've got one now.

Right, which one of you went to my local Crew Clothing to pick up the £12 socks with the £10 voucher on them?! Picked mine up and the lady said 'ohhh, isn't that strange, someone has just come in and collected exactly the same thing as you' as if it's a rarity to order such a thing for collection. I'm betting it was someone from here Grin

I just bough DH a batman onsie for christmas from tesco with my voucher boost. I don't know whether to be proud or very very ashamed of buying such an item Wink

For those of you in the South East, that hunky presenter from deadly 60 is signing books at waterstones on Sunday here . Might be good if you had a fan for a DC of the series to meet him or get his booked signed for their present or any other excuse you can think of to meet him

Iheart yes I've ordered 2 flavourly boxes with the same code but used DHs name and email for the second.
