FairyJen- what minions did You get? Were they bargainous? I have a minion mad DS!

IHeartKingThistle · 15/11/2013 12:25

MrsA try Etsy. Notonthehighstreet will have some too but will be £££. Most Etsy stuff ships from the US but won't cost you much more.

lucysmam · 15/11/2013 12:26

I put rearrange delivery...then went off to do something for my 3yo....came back & pressed something when I picked up my phone and now I have no clue how to complete registration on the site Confused

I could click and collect one of the things from our local asda though, the other was a nook & needed signing for.

Am a bit Confused by the website now though & think I might have to ring them to finish it off!

Atterley Road are having a flash sale with 25% off everything until midnight tonight by entering the code flash25 in the view bag before checking out.

It doesn't say that it doesn't apply to sale stuff, and on a previous thread another poster suggested the bird charm necklace (which is in the sale with 35% off) might go well with the bird scarf if anyone is planning to gift that.

Theonlyoneiknow · 15/11/2013 12:28

Mamas and papas bumbos reduced from £39.50 to £8.50 in my local Tesco

FairyJen · 15/11/2013 12:31

henrietta I got a cuddly one off eBay. It was £5 free shipping from china. It arrived in just over a week and is huge for price and to say its a stocking filler, over 10inch.

There are loads on eBay if you search for various prices. I got the one with one eye but loads to choose from. I'm very pleased with it and I know dd will love it!

FairyJen · 15/11/2013 12:31

( total bugger to wrap tho Wink )

FairyJen · 15/11/2013 12:33

kateecass Thank you !!

For everyone that's making a start on wrapping their presents...

Thin curling ribbon approx £3 for 500m - ebay link for loads of different colours, get the 500m rolls for the best value (I've put the results in rather than a specific product as different suppliers supply different colours and have different delivery times but there are plenty of suppliers at around the £3 mark).

Thick curling ribbon (aka florists ribbon) - 2x 100m rolls, choice of 15 colours £6.99 with free delivery
100yds ribbon £3.99
another 100yard roll supplier - lots of colours £4.59

cellophane - loads of it on ebay - just do a search like this Probably a bit more expensive than Lidl but lots of different designs including loads of christmasy ones and if you want to wrap loads of different big things then it would probably work out more economical to have a big roll that you can use as much as you need and then carry on, rather than having several smaller rolls and having lots of 2m left over bits if you need bigger pieces to wrap up your hamper or whatever.

Paleodad · 15/11/2013 13:04

Am thinking that post-christmas there's going to be a lot of kids lighting up the sky with finger lights, and a lot of mumsnetters parents giving each other a knowing smile!

TheIggorcist · 15/11/2013 13:04

Impossiblegirl - that's really crap, you must be fed up about it. I assume you have cancelled the dd with the bank? Or do they take it from your card? (I hate that, seems really sneaky).

What are they going to do, take you to court? Surely they will just give up, they can't take your money if dd is cancelled and it would. Out them more to sue you than give up. Especially as there WAS - trial period Hmm

tryingforsolong · 15/11/2013 13:04

for anyone making hampers or a treat for doing so well with your Christmas shopping Grin free hot chocolate )Praline White Hot Chocolate Tin with any order from Whittards with code FREECHOC

DrankSangriaInThePark · 15/11/2013 13:05

I could well join in on Hearstgate because I don't know if I have received anything or not, but cancelled my subscriptions anyway, given that they seemed to be more trouble than they are worth!

Thanks for the Vistaprint calendar link- not a huge Vistaprint fan, but might do some for dd's schoolfriends at that price! Flowers

hallowisitmeyourelookingfor · 15/11/2013 13:06

Anyone received their bird print scarves yet? Still nothing here, and I can't even find an email confirmation.
Also, can anyone explain paperjamz to me please? I thought they were like origami instruments but it seems I am very very wrong! And what sort of age is the target? Would my 13 year old musical nephew be too old?

craftynclothy · 15/11/2013 13:08

Theimpossiblegirl I'm promised a response by today Hmm from (I presume) the manager's manager. I'm a bit fed up of them saying "There's a link here or a page there that says 12 month minimum" and me saying "Yes, I can read the random pages you're sending me but I wasn't given that when I signed up and it was not noted anywhere regarding the offer I took and in fact it said very clearly I can cancel with 28 days notice so just fecking cancel it " but I did mention in my most recent email that they have an offer in the current magazine with the same T&C's I was given (i.e. not stating a 12 month min) and that I'd be sending my screenshots and everything to trading standards. That got me a more apologetic "We'll investigate" reply but I'm still waiting to hear back.

happylittlebear · 15/11/2013 13:12

Has anyone else had a Rhianna perfume today? I got mine weeks ago but the postman has just brought me another one!

I'm wondering if it's a duplicate or a replacement for one of the other gifts, I'm still waiting for a few of the others I think...

glenthebattleostrich · 15/11/2013 13:24

I got some perfume today, I'm waiting for the watch.

I've just sent them an email asking for the watch and saying I want to return the perfume, but refuse to pay to do so.

Was going to keep one of the mags as a treat, don't think it'll be company!

SueSueHeck · 15/11/2013 13:25

Hallow PaperJamz are possibly a bit too young for your nephew. Especially if he already plays real instruments.

My 2 dds had the guitars, drums and amps a few years ago and they are great but now my oldest is 14 and has no interest in them anymore.

happylittlebear · 15/11/2013 13:26

I did chase up my watch the other day glen, it must be for that one then.

I'll email and say I want my watch!

hallowisitmeyourelookingfor · 15/11/2013 13:30

Okay, thanks SueSue, back to the drawing board then. He's tricky to buy for!

JaquelineHyde · 15/11/2013 13:38

I can add to the Hearst updates...

I rang Hearst today to chase up my Oasis watch for the second time. I spoke to a lovely man who looked in to it and said he would ring me back later today once he has got hold of a manager. I confirmed I had received the Rhianna perfume for my Cosmopolitan subscription and was just waiting for the watch.

I haven't had a call back yet (initial call was made at 9am) but I have taken delivery today of 2 further boxes of Rhianna perfume Confused Shock

I'm tempted to sell them both and buy myself a bloody Oasis watch Grin

I also rang Conde Naste about the Body Shop gift with my Glamour subscription and have been advised it should be with me in the next 10 days. I have stated I shall be escalating my complaint if the item isn't received by then.

Theimpossiblegirl · 15/11/2013 13:40

Could I have the numbers you rang for Conde Naste and Hearst please?

JaquelineHyde · 15/11/2013 13:45

Hearst = 0844 848 1601

Conde Nast = 0844 8485202
