20th thread

If lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

rachyconks · 06/11/2013 08:12

Can't get the clarks code to work. No longer active! Hmm

Taffeta · 06/11/2013 08:12

I've not posted on here much, it always find it a great resource.

Thanks to Reastie. You are clearly doing a fantastic job, and there are many many many who are very grateful.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 06/11/2013 08:13

I think we can safely say she did mean it to, Pach.

Maybe it's less Reastie's "lack of basic computer knowledge" and more "comeandgo's lack of basic manners"

The wheel doesn't need reinventing. It has worked perfectly OK for 19 threads and last year as well.

Pachacuti · 06/11/2013 08:16

I'll try to look over L to P later, if possible (given that seems a nice chunk away from what other people are doing Grin).

Pogosticks · 06/11/2013 08:16

Leilandri (sorry if I have spelt that wrong) I have wrapped my flavourly things already, but happy to unwrap and extract the popcorn if you aren't near a Tesci. I am about 80% certain it was bacon - I know it was 'maple something'.

And good luck Weebarra Thanks

And here is a nice coloring book for comeandgo

DrankSangriaInThePark · 06/11/2013 08:17

Mind you don't fill the thread up Pach.

comeandgo · 06/11/2013 08:19

It worked better last year. This year its safe to say its been messy at best.

Some people get quite angry don't they?

DrankSangriaInThePark · 06/11/2013 08:21

You could always start your own?

Brucietheshark · 06/11/2013 08:24

Some people do get quite interfering, controlling and supercilious don't they?

Mellowandfruitful · 06/11/2013 08:25

People tend to get angry when other people are rude and ungrateful, comeandgo. You are not Reastie's line manager, you are enjoying, for free, the work she puts in here, so if you don't think it's up to scratch, by all means start a thread and show us how it should be done! Smile

TheOnlyPink · 06/11/2013 08:27

No one is angry. We would just prefer you kept your rude comments to yourself. These threads fill up every three days. hundreds of bargains are posted in each thread. It would be a full time job to keep up and to be frank, everyone else has a life. We lost some really valued posters the last time this kicked off. Lets not have a repeat.

VoldemortsNipple · 06/11/2013 08:29

I normally try and ignore negative comments in the hope the people causing the drama will go away. But that is pure rude Comeandgo You don't have to pass a computer course to use Mumsnet. Apart from that the F3 button isn't available on every device. I think more people use tablets and phones for internet now.

Anyway Reastie Looking at the Amazon list, some things have been on the list for ages and people new to the thread are still impressed by them. Things like the little stocking fillers, puppets cheap jewellery, slushy cups. I think they should stay but maybe put a note that the prices tend to fluctuate and the the price shown is the best price we've found it. Flowers as always for all your hard work. It take me all my time keeping up with the thread, never mind updating it.

milk · 06/11/2013 08:30

Cake for today weebara

milk · 06/11/2013 08:34

I truly believe some individuals on this thread are being extremely rude to poor Reastie. Yes, I have noticed in the past that some of the links on the front page no longer direct me to the cheap price written here but this is not a job for Reastie and I believe if you want a 100% perfect service you should go to a company that gets paid to do it! Reastie is doing this out of the goodness of her heart and we should all be very grateful!

/rant!

nickdrakeslovechild · 06/11/2013 08:42

Reastie you are doing a bloody wonderful job. To anyone who is moaning, amazon prices go up and down so what if some days thay may be a bit more? Pop it in your basket and wait for it to come down again, it only takes a second where as trying to update will take forever. Apart from the horrible incident where we lost issacs (if you're lurking, please come back!) this has yet again been a lovely thread with fab bargains and great chat. If you don't like it just go away and leave the rest of us in peace.

Pogosticks · 06/11/2013 08:44

I've checked Q R and S

the only changes are:

Sainsburys chronicles of narnia old version now £5

Seasalt have 20% off with code cornishoysters expired

£5 off a £20 spend at Smyths Toys with code PRIMARY£5OFF expired

Studio24 reduced childrens chairs personallised link goes to a cushion thing and the website keeps crashing my browser so I can't post direct link. But if you follow the existing link the chairs are at the bottom in a 'you might also like' part anyway.

SandWitch · 06/11/2013 08:49

BadlyWrittenPoem · 06/11/2013 08:54

Perhaps a disclaimer before the Amazon links that some prices may have changed as they do fluctuate and a link to/recommendation of CamelCamel would help?

Fluffytent · 06/11/2013 08:54

Can anyone recommend a pressie for DSis? At uni... And sooooo difficult to buy for

(I thought it was fine how it was and when I first found the thread it wasn't an issue to me that some Amazon things had changed price but it might help avoid hassle if people are complaining about it.)

chirpchirp · 06/11/2013 09:03

Not sure if this has already been shared good housekeeping year's subscription on Living Social today for £23.
